We have just returned to the UK after the most fantastic holiday in the western Cape organised by JD We stayed in some utterly amazing hotels ate in some fabulous restaurants and did some amazing excursions all organised by this very knowledgeable and friendly South African The Travel Caf is excellent at adding personal touches to an itinerary and making excellent suggestions that put them in a different league of tour operator altogether Thank you JD

I cannot recommend The Travel Cafe enough - I wish I could give more than 5 stars My expectations were blown out of the water and I m so glad to have worked with JD his team We traveled to South Africa for a friends wedding so we spent some time in Cape Town wine country and then to Kruger for a Safari All of the accommodations were top notch as well as the activities excursions we did JD team were super professional with great communication which made our travels experience seamless and easy It was so nice to have everything expertly planned out for us and to not have to worry about a thing which let us relax and have an amazing time I literally cried leaving on the last day because it was truly the best vacation ever Thank you to JD team from the bottom of our hearts for a trip we will never forget

I cannot recommend The Travel Cafe enough JD and his team planned a trip I will remember for the rest of my life We traveled to South Africa for a friends wedding so we spent some time in Cape Town Franschhoek wine country and then to Kruger for a Safari All of the accommodations were absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations JD and his team were super helpful with restaurant recs and reservations throughout the entire trip They even helped fetch my husband s bag when it got left in a transport vehicle I can t say enough great things about them We will def be back to Africa and we will be using them

Our four week trip to South Africa and Namibia in April was probably our best ever We owe this to the personalization care and attention to detail provided by our customized itinerary constructed by the team at The Travel Cafe in Cape Town South Africa JD Francois and their team KNOW Africa They spent lots of time getting to know us as travelers via ZOOM and WHAT S APP calls in order to plan an itinerary that fit our desired level of activity and willingness to pursue adventure Each day of our travels was varied and full of opportunities to learn about history culture good food amazing countrysides and experience beautiful people Some days we toured independently with detailed suggestions and options while other days we met experts who were passionate to share their knowledge with us The Travel Cafe also provided guided or small group experiences which more accurately describes our travels in Namibia The variety of experiences was truly mind-blowing When traveling it is impossible to anticipate all that might occur but we felt so enriched each night when we reviewed the treasured memories of our day A priority for us when we travel is to feel and be safe The Travel Cafe took care to plan our trip with the same goals We were provided with complete details lovely accommodations and delicious foods every step of the way Being the focus of such thoughtful planning made us confident that we were well-taken-care-of We also knew that JD Francois and the team were available for questions at literally any time Such contact was not needed due in large part to the advanced planning by The Travel Cafe Contacts were focused primarily on our exuberant sharing about each wonderful day Our trip went off without a hitch and budget was just as expected We are already planning our next trip to Africa in two years So much to experience We trust JD and Francois to help us see more of South Africa and neighboring countries Can t wait

This trip was a dream come true From the moment I saw the itinerary I knew I had to go and take my sister with me The planning and getting there was seamless with the help of JD and The Travel Cafe Cape Town We really appreciated the Zoom calls prior to our trip to get more details and have questions answered It was all amazing but the biggest surprise for me was how much I loved Cape Town What a beautiful clean friendly metropolitan city There was so much to see and do without spending hours on a bus The small group is the way to go Such a personalized attentive feeling you get at every destination Timbivati was amazing but different than what I thought it was going to be like Honestly I thought there would be more wildlife and not so hard to get a sighting But it was kind of like going on a hunt The landscape was breathtaking at sunrise and sunset Not having a whole bunch of other vehicles competing for space and sightings was also great Definitely a more private experience We loved the stops to chat eat and drink midway through the drive It was such a special luxury camp and the setting food ambiance and people were fantastic Truly a boutique five star experience in the middle of the bush Victoria Falls the Royal Livingstone Hotel and steam train dinner just capped off a perfect trip Everyday we said oh it can t get much better than this but it always did There were surprises around every corner Our trip was EPIC We truly felt like family by the end and were happy to meet and spend time and experiences with Francois and your mom and dad For Kathy and I family is EVERYTHING so it was great to feel like we fit right in with yours We loved having a personal professional photographer too So many great pictures to cherish and remind us how blessed we were to experience Africa on an authentic adventure that will remain embedded in our hearts Thank you
