Disappointed

They sent me pictures showing scratches on the screen I don t believe this was my actual phone as I sent it in perfect condition wrapped in bubble wrap inside a cardboard envelope which I put inside a jiffy bag so it was well presented Offered me 31 less than the original offer I wasn t surprised to be honest as this is the norm with these types of firms On the plus side the money was transferred the same day

Room for improvement on communication Recently used a different company for another one of my devices and the other company gave me an email confirming the order confirming the label was shipped confirming my device has reached their warehouse confirmed my device is being looked at confirmed that they ll pay me the full expected price for my device confirmed payment had been Made and further confirmed the payment had hit my bank account Didn t get this with Trade In at all Had confirmation the order of selling my device had been made Received confirmation from Royal Mail that the item had been delivered to Trade In but no correspondence from them Checked my bank account and the money had been paid in with no correspondence on their part to confirm what the situation was Will use the other company in future as I was kept up to date with the other company

Simple process to assess the item and get a value Easy to post to the company Quick assessment The payment did not occur on the same day apparently due to a system error and so I had to follow it up When they replied to my email they then made the payment later that evening

Quick transfer to my account

I feel that I got a good price for my iPad and the money was transferred to my account very quickly However it took several days for the return label to arrive and then Ihad to pay 2 postage to the post office I had to use my own safe packaging to return the iPad

User interface not clear - especially on what to do after you sell something Didn t send me a pouch and I had to battle via Royal Mail website to get a QR code - despite them saying they would pick up from my door Giving 3 stars because it was only place that pays for old AirPods and they paid out very quickly

I have given 3 stars just for the simple reason it was kind of an unusual experience Firstly I had to call for some advice but was greeted with hello instead of the company name which seemed odd and a bit unsettling when I was sending an expensive item to recycle Any way I went ahead and sent the item special delivery with Royal Mail so it was insured and I could track it It arrived in the morning but I heard nothing no email to say it arrived nothing Again this made me feel uneasy That night I received the payment in full so that was great Just a little more communication would have made this a 5 star review

Easy transaction with quick payout if your item is in flawless condition

Very easy transaction with a very simple to understand website The money arrived in my bank account just before midnight on the day Trade in received my iPad However my concerns were that there was no confirmation from the company that they were processing the order after Royal Mail tracking showed delivered My order showed as Pending before I sent my iPad and my Trade in account went straight to Complete the day following the money transfer - there was no Received or Processing status in the interim The freepost 48hr tracked service offered by Trade in whilst good only provides a maximum of 20 00 compensation in the event that your package is damaged or lost en-route So if you are sending something of high value it is advisable to purchase additional compensation from Royal Mail or send by Special Delivery 1pm which covers you for a maximum of 750 compensation as standard
