My review is about the Chile Argentina Brazil tour in March 2019 Having had great previous experiences with Travelsphere I had no doubts about booking the South America trip Booking over the phone was easy and they looked into other flight options for us like upgrading to ecomony plus Unfortunately the airline LATAM did not offer the upgrade Our tour manager was excellent keeping us well informed throughout the trip The actual tour was very good and well worth doing The content was good and we opted for the addition of 3 extra days in Rio Now for the disappointment Twice our hotels were changed from the original itinerary One we were never informed about the second we were told on the way to the hotel from the airport On arrival at this hotel some of us were not allocated rooms whilst others that were allocated rooms found other guests in the rooms It soon became evident that this replacement hotel was not of the usual Travelsphere standard It was tired bathrooms were dirty and the food at breakfast was poor This was also the hotel that we had booked 3 extra nights in on the extension Travelsphere charged 349 per person for the extension on Booking com the same hotel could be purchased for 135 per person for the same 3 night stay Travelsphere s strapline is so much covered in the price We found this not true the trip was only B B there was only one included tour in each city visited all other trips were expensive optional extras I wrote to Travelsphere 10 days ago about my experience on their tour but to date I have had no reply I think Travelsphere are starting to offer less for more I will certainly look at other providers before booking with them again

for us italy has been ruined obviously good for italy but the places we wanted to return to Amalfi and Sorento were overcrowded with tourists could hardly move in places Spoiled completely

I travelled to Austria with Travelsphere to stay in Hotel Attergauhof Austria was lovely but this hotel was not one I would recommend If you do stay there insist on a room at the side or back as there is noise from a nightclub on Saturday nights and the church bells every morning

We had a good holiday in the main but the airline Latham dreadful We selected seats but they were tiny and the one in front almost in your lap They have no middle pricing cattle class or 1st class which was 1k extra per head When we arrived in Chile had to walk several hundred yards to the coach with no porterage to help This after a lengthy flight and seniors We found the guide perfectly adequate The hotel in Rio a disappointment although the location great 2 star at the most Sorry this sounds very negative however thoroughly enjoyed most of the holiday especially Argentina

Hello and good day this is re edited the former was sent frommy mobile I travelled with Travelsphere twice the British Columbia one was better than the New Zealand one changing seats mid flight looking for luggage in LA and picking up a Womans instead of my case in Auckland I would not do a two part journey again and certainly not via America The cost of a visa was a scandal I was put through inconvenience and made to feel a suspect not a transit passenger I am visiting Singapore in September for four nights actually being there I had an ambition to go there since i heard of Lee Kwan Hu the president on Panorama and the Chang Kai shek or chek harbour AirportTravelsphere do not do Cruises so i will use Fred Olsen three cruises were cancelled during lockdownThankyou You are welcome to this

Fabulous sights experienced on this whistle stop tour of Turkey However unlike previous holidays with Travelsphere we were not met in the Welcome area of Istanbul airport and it took a lot of running around to locate the rep Hotels generally were ok except for the Grand Blue Sky Resort where our room had not been cleaned and we had been left with a quarter of a toilet roll in the filthy bathroom and two single duvet covers for our king size bed The room remained uncleaned the following day Hotels on the journey were only reached about 6pm nearly every time owing to the amount of time the rep spent telling us about the places visited meaning we couldn t make use of various hotel facilities on one occasion we did arrive at 5 15pm but our luggage didn t turn up to our room until 6pm We were taken to a restaurant for lunch on route to the Grand Blue Sky where I was served raw chicken later suffering the obvious consequences for 3 nights After informing and showing both the rep and the chef I was still charged full price for the meal and given a piece of baklava as compensation Quite a number of our group had to go to various pharmacies with upset stomachs throughout the tour On the final night we were to have a farewell meal and were taken out of town following a long trek to be picked up by the coach and taken to a seafood restaurant I don t eat seafood or any kind of fish and we were talking to a couple of others on the trip who also didn t indeed quite a number of people are allergic to sea food so my husband and I could only eat the alternative Koftas for our main and nothing else except bread Travelsphere really need to reconsider a number of their chosen venues on this tour and give people breathing space down time to help their punters enjoy the tour to the full

As always the holiday well organised apart from being in Banff on a public holiday I feel the Rocky Mountaineer train journey to be nothing more than ordinary and a little over hyped Though the cruising aspect was ultimately not for us there needs to be more activities on board ship on the sea days and that the ports of call were nothing out of the ordinary

We have just returned from National Parks tour in USA and having taken this tour 20 years ago we were really looking forward to returning Unfortunately the holiday was a huge disappointment due to the tour director who did not know the area and gave us hardly any information on the area she even got the name of the coach driver wrong Yellowstone was to have been the highlight especially as we had 2 days there We didn t get to see Artists Point or the painted Pots but we drove along the side of the lake for ages and then came back along the same stretch of road again the same the following day There was not enough time allowed at some destinations Breakfasts were adequate but with the exception of 2 breakfasts all the hotels used paper plates and plastic cutlery which was just thrown away This could have been a much more enjoyable holiday had the tour director been more knowledgeable

The tour was for 1 week We wanted to extend and stay for 2 but the rep stated we couldn t alter our inbound flight and would have pay for the return flight even though we wouldn t be on it We bought separate flights home When the invoice came we were charged for the flight home as expected but he had also charged us for seats we wouldn t be sitting on and bags in the hold Having done many group tours this is the first company I ve come across that were so rigid and unaccommodating and unfortunately because of this I would not use them again when other companies go the extra mile The tour itself was fantastic Nensi our tour guide was knowledgable well organised and lovely

The hotels were good the food was authentic and plentiful Information prior to the holiday was incorrect The tour guide requested money that was not mentioned prior to the trip and we had no way of verifying the request or how it was spent We felt under pressure to pay the large amount
