CANCELLATION OF A HOLIDAY AND THE ENSUING PROBLEMS

The date for payment of the final balance was brought forward several weeks then approximately a fortnight later the trip was cancelled It is difficult to believe that this could not have been foreseen Had circumstances really changed so much within a few days The money has now been refunded just within the 14 day limit As I had paid by credit card I had to withdraw money from other accounts to pay the credit card bill which became due in advance of the refund thus losing interest Moreover I now had travel insurance and a visa which were useless This company is notoriously poor in responding to emails I don t recall ever having had a reply without contacting them a second time sometimes after a lapse of several weeks I shall not be using them again

The booking of the holiday was fine but things went wrong after that A close member of the family was diagnosed with cancer so we decided to cancel the holiday I phoned but was advised to email I emailed three times got the standard response but was never contacted further Eventually I phoned was told the holiday had been cancelled and that I would get email confirmation of this No confirmation ever received

Last two holidays cancelled a few

Last two holidays cancelled a few months before the latest was due to dept August for the best of the West tour where our wedding which has been arranged and paid for while in Vegas was to take place VERY DISAPPOINTED and will never use this company again

Travelsphere - never again

We paid over 12 500 for a 16 night holiday in Canada with supposedly 4 5 star hotels eg The Sheraton - cancelled and exchanged for a grubby hotel in a cheap area of town Banff- all rooms booked with an obstructed view i e a brick wall in front of the window to get the cheapest rates as quoted by the receptionist at the hotel

No after care

Booking ref A518534 After submitting a review on the 19th of June and Travelsphere promising to get in touch We have heard nothing from them The after care is abysmal Very disappointing after paying so much Our tour has kept in touch via WhatsApp and they are having no response either We have no choice but to escalate the complaint through A B T A

Not trustworthy

Booked a Holiday to India sorting all my documents out for my VISA appointment Online portal was different to usual Called up waited 40 minutes to speak to someone to be advised my holiday was cancelled No written communication could have paid over 300 pounds for Visa had i not checked Still no communication This is after Travelsphere changed their t and c s after booking and forced us to pay the balance earlier than agreedUpdate they didnt call me as per their response i called them

No longer a quality company

Wrote to customer service with an urgent request and still waiting for over a month for a reply Also when we provided our passport and insurance information to their designated email update address pre-travel they did not update our file when I called the wait was over 40 minutes and then the rep said it did not matter if they had our passport number How then did they manage to book flights for us This company has gone way downhill since the pre covid days do not spend your hard earned dosh on this rubbish group

Do not trust

Do not trust After deferring my Deep South tour for two years running due to covid informed by email today my tour finally to start 21st October cancelled due to low numbers Deeply upsetting that will cost you 100k worth of business from us over the next decade

Poor customer service

Went on their Namibia trip which was brilliant Only problem was that they let an unaccompanied frail old lady onto the trip who needed constant support The whole group had to take it in turns to look after her so that no one s holiday was ruined When we got home and contacted them to complain they totally ignored us Shall be spending my hard earned cash elsewhere in the future The reply below says they respond in 28 days It s been almost 2 months now and still nothing

800 Wanted

Company cancelled holiday 10 12 It was for tour of Peru booked this August for next October Advised 16 12 that I no longer have applicable credit card and took bank details over phone Advise 5 -7 working days for refund IT gives customers 7 days to make decisions takes deposit immediately Then told 10 working days Today receive notification it has refunded Amex Immediately phone but the person who sent email and has actioned wrongly with delay is unavailable Told to submit complaint to the same email address that has failed to act appropriately
