Total Scam website - DO NOT deal with them
Never ever deal with this company They attract you in with promises of what is available but you have to give them your credit card details They then charge you a small amount for 2 weeks trial I could not find what was promised so immediately cancelled the subscription 2 weeks later I suddenly got US 99 charged to my credit card I immediately wrote to them and they claimed that I had not cancelled the subscription and even though I had and I had contacted them within 1 hour of the charge they refused to cancel and return my money

Facing court
I mistakenly created two accounts on their website I sent an email to cancel my subscription but only one account was deleted I simply turned off the automatic paiement on my PayPal account but after the free trail ended they actually billed me 100 for 1 year subscription As I was not paying they sent me reminders of payment in German that I don t understand so I blocked them But one day I received a mail from Atriga a debt collector asking me to pay the 100 80 for their fees I still haven t payed as I am trying to figure out a solution but they are threatening me to take me to court and call their lawyers I think I m just plain fu ed and have to pay them now

It is a scam but you can escape
Like most other people I got scammed into signing up They build fake forums to convince you that whatever obscure song or book you re looking for is available on their platform It obviously isn t If you ve signed up for the free trial you must IMMEDIATELY AS SOON AS POSSIBLE find the unsubscribe button buried in your account settings Importantly only press the unsubscribe button once -- if you press it twice it will sign you back up and will not let you press unsubscribe again You should receive an email confirming that you re unsubscribed keep it on file but if you want to be 100 sure call the UK number and ask them to send an email confirming your unsubscription in writing I called around 6pm and the people on the phone were fine I received an email confirming everything was cancelled and was not charged for a full subscription There is hope

Fraudulent Company
Why can t I give a zero Star review to this company They are shysters and I believe fraudulent But that is my belief Read the other reviews and see if a lot of other people think they are fraudulent They went through an unbelievable procedure of trying to get me to renew my subscription which I would have done even with problems using them They kept telling me to enter a NEW card number and details because my bank was Blocking the card I checked with the Bank and no request from Usenet had been blocked and if they were using a different company name NO transactions had been blocked on my account Now they are threatening Debt Collection and are generally being obnoxious STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY

It s a scam
It s a scam One thing is that the service doesn t hold its promise another is that they make it impossible to cancel the trial period They are obviously counting on cancellations not going through as part of their business model and charging people cards against their will As such it s a criminal organization - stay far away

Beware
Beware There appears to be a devious lack of transparency at work with usenet nl If you take a free trial with usenet nl they send you emails from a different and a seemingly completely unrelated web identity namely freediscussions com Of course you or your spam filter don t recognise that email address freediscussions com so you do the wise and sensible thing and you do not open them Then several months later you get an intimidating letter from a debt collector probably based in Germany demanding a huge sum of money from you because they claim you have infringed usenet nl s contract The person or persons behind the web identities usenet nl and freediscussions com are based in San Marino not an EU state and they have been clearly engaging in a form of online activity which is so seriously lacking in transparency that it sits on the edges of criminal behaviour The best thing to do is to immediately report usenet nl to your country s police force or your country s fraud-line cyber-crime line phishing line etc Just go to the Interpol website to find a link back to the appropriate agency in your country report what has happened and leave it to the appropriate security agency to sort out Also do a search on the words San Marino criminals usenet nl and you will see pages and pages of search-results providing evidence of usenet nl s appalling reputation The first entry how-to-avoid-the-usenet-scam-2018-by-sean-gabb is particularly helpful
