Do not purchase from this company

Do not purchase from this company We selected Vivint for our home security system due to the excellent reviews and the option for professional installation The techs cancelled installation twice once the night before and the second time an hour before After the second time I told the company I was not interested in using their services as I could not keep rearranging my schedule for them to cancel at the last minute The sales person I spoke with told me he would personally follow up and ensure that the installation would occur as scheduled and that I could cancel within 14 days of installation if not satisfied He reached out to me twice in the lead up to the appointment to confirm the tech would arrive On the day of the installation we were informed 30 minutes before the 4 hour arrival ended that tech would arrive outside of the scheduled window In the course of the installation the tech drilled holes in our wall in a living area without permission and then snaked the cable up the wall and stapled it for one of the security camera To make matters worse the camera he installed did not work He told my husband that the camera should come online in a day or two and reach out if there was an issue The camera never came online As instructed I sent a text to the technician and received no response After a day or two of waiting I contacted Vivint and was told that I would be charged for a tech to come out to fix the problem After having them verify the camera never worked they agreed to send out a tech to fix the issue for no charge but they could schedule me in a day or later November 18 Due to work I opted for later The day before the 14 day trial ended I noted the doorbell did not ring except for outside of the house This issue coupled with the nonfunctional camera the terrible service and shoddy installation made me decide to cancel I called the company to cancel and was told after being on the phone with them for 47 minutes that they had no record of the 14 day trial and the best resolution they could offer would be to place us on a standby list for a tech and provide 2 free months of service The call abruptly was disconnected at that point I tried calling back to confirm this would be done and could not get in contact with the person that provided this offer I called again today and was told no one could help me until Monday I expect it will be another 47 minute phone call with no resolution Don t choose this company We will be escalating this issue until they take back their defective equipment and repair my walls

-1 Star RatingVivint is extremely unethical They locked me into a three-year contract for a product that barely functions My home is insecure most of the time and now they want to charge an additional monthly fee to service their faulty equipment I m already paying two hefty monthly payments one for the service and another for the equipment It seems they can t attract new customers due to their poor business practices so they resort to squeezing money out of their existing customers who are stuck in contracts If you re considering signing up be prepared for plenty of bait-and-switch tactics

I left a review on my bad experience with vivint I bought a security system based on lies from the salesman Vivint system is not compatible with Deako smart switches Vivint contacted me and told me they will NOT do anything to help me I have to pay for a system that will not control my house It also will not control my garage door DO NOT BUY INTO THE LIES

Riley from Vivint is dishonest beware

The rep Riley lied to me and he was a sneak dishonest my son had referred me I contacted the company spoke with Riley I said to him my son referred me and I wanted to see if I could get some service first I said I wanted two cameras he said let s look at your sons account and see how many cameras your son has he said he has two when he had 3 cameras one front back and on the side of the house and my son said he up graded this little crock then I said I live in a apartment and I don t live on no end I just need one door camera and I want it installed he I asked him how much he said 1000 I said ok he said you want do it for the 13 10 24 at 8-12 I said yes he said I need to redo a disclosure I said OK he said I wanna see if you qualify for a deposit I m like OK This man ran my credit applied for a loan apply for the equipment to be refinance and came back that I qualify for 4000 I could slapped him I didn t ask for that he said 1000 I was going pay that then when the guy tech come he set me all up and it was 1399 00 I was so pissed with him people take advantage of the elderly he lied in the first place when he went into my son s account will tell me he had two cameras when I knew he had more than that then he lied about the cause he said it was 1000 but before he lied about the thousand dollars he said I m just gonna check and see if you qualify don t trust Riley he s just dishonest dishonest My son referred his aunt then he referred me then he went give me the discount The discount was 40 off and no payment for six months I had to consist consistently constantly telling him about that

Scammers

This place is trash I bought cameras and had them installed and it hasn t been working right every since it gos off line all the time and the rep lied stated he came out to my house he called this bull shit I was charged 200 00 for that guy to come out and he didn t put the panel on the wall crappy defect system don t do business this this company they was sued for cheating customer they unprofessional liers my son referred me to this company he s been with them for years as well as my sister they cheat the elderly I live in a apartment they live in houses so they have way more cameras but my was a defect they don t care they lie cheat steal

A sales rep came through the

A sales rep came through the neighborhood aggravating me while I was out in the yard doing some work I kept trying to see if he worked for a legit company because I didn t see any representation of who he was working for He asked me a lot of nosy personal questions like the age of my car if I had a carport which I didn t if I live by myself or with a husband boyfriend I told him several times that buying anything right now was not in the budget I also told him that I had a roommate and that we already had a security system He tried every explanation trying to get me to switch over to this company and I told him no He even said he would come back and ask my roommate about it and I told him I would not advise that The nosy personal questions were completely out of line and therefore I told him whatever I wanted to just to get rid of him All that information is totally none of his business or anybody else s The point is if the customer is not interested in what you re selling please leave and don t keep pressuring to sell something because you re only aggravating the person you re trying to sell it to

Vivint just plains sucks

Vivint just plains sucks I had canceled Vivint and the technician had come out to remove their system and waa supposed to put my ADT equipment back up But to my knowledge he got a call from his boss telling him to stop doing anything bcuz of so called regulations So then I was hot and angry bcuz this was agreed upon before the technician came to uninstall the system So then I had to call ADT to cone out and install their equipment back up in my house and charged me 253 for the service call The ADT management i called and talked with told me to call and pressure Vivint to reimburse me back that money I had paid to ADT and be refunded This had better happen I get my money back or I will file complaint with BETTER BUSINESS BERAUE or legal action I would never refer anyone to join with Vivint bcuz they are not reliable and professional company period

I would give Vivint Home Security a zero Their sales tactics are dishonest I gave the salesman my information as my stepson wanted to use my military discount for the equipment That salesperson rode with my stepson to get my information and had me sign some paperwork No mention that my name will be on the contract Not one time did he run my stepson credit however ran my credit and never ran my stepson credit and took upon hisself to put the system in my name and used his charge card I never knew this didn t receive any paperwork from Christopher the salesman My stepson lost his job and they telling me I m responsible for the contract since I signed it Vivint legal team said Christopher only ran my name and I wondered why since that equipment is not at my house They want over 4000 00 and the equipment My stepson told them to come get the equipment which they would use again and he can t afford it The legal team asked me do I want my stepson to be a co-signer and he told them he s the owner and had no idea they were placing the system in my name He received ALL the paperwork and he did some dishonest stuff to make a sale I thought it was an error but no they emailed me the contract I signed No explanation was given because I don t co-sign for anyone Now my credit is deteriorating because Christopher the dishonest salesperson tactics My experience is when I sign a contract I m giving paperwork of the transaction the cost of the product and monthly payment Vivint has NEVER taken money for my account but from my stepson account I will share my experience of Vivint and very dissatisfied with them Stealing from the poor while their business soar So I refuse to pay and their salesman needs training I want to go on TV with my stepson the visitor that was at my house and Christopher I asked them to go back and run the strip and they will see Christopher NEVER said anything about the system being in my name and I received no response I filed a BBB report and they marked it as customer not satisfied with the response ANY TIPS ANYONE I M CALLING THE MEDIA TO SEE WHAT CAN BE DONE THE WILL HAVE OTHERS PAY CLOSE ATTENTION I SHOULD HAVE NEVER LEFT BRINKS Unhappy

Actually ZERO RATING is not a choice This company uses fraudulent business practices and preys upon senior citizens DO NOT DO BUSINESS OR GET INVOLVED WITH THIS COMPANY If you find an office it will be an empty storefront There is a reason for so many angry consumers and resulting low ratings

Expensive trash The app has frequent buffering that lasts forever so many times you can t even view your camera s from mobile devices Their equipment is way overpriced compared to ALL others and their monthly rates are overpriced as well Customer service is terrible and they trap you in lengthy contracts
