HelloI m a mother and I ve 55 years old but even so I enjoyed every minute of the energy and empathy that the youngest volunteers had The work or what I called serving was e exhausting because I choose to be with the babies from 1 to 2 years but so grateful I won t ever forget any smile or embrace that will prevail over the poverty and racism that choked me I had always the best support from the IVHQ and the from O2E outreach to enrich The house of the volunteers was a very beautiful old house that was still in the effort for improvement that they re doing it The food was so different that needed some adjustment from me And the place the city was beautiful Always with a rainbow to great us every morning when we come back from the school Our free time gave us the opportunity to explore the surroundings so I could do a safari see the pinguins and do beautiful walks in the mountains It was overwhelming when I look back I m grateful from the bottom of my heart and really wish all the best for the project and everyone I metThankfully Cristina

I did a 4 weeks sport teaching program in Ghana and it was such an incredible experience The whole community in the village was very welcoming and work with kids was amazing and so fulfilling The program was very well organized and everybody from school was helpful and supportive The accommodation conditions were basic but we didn t really need much more than that The staff that was taking care of our stay was so lovely They always made sure that the rooms and common areas are clean and that we have everything that s absolutely necessary I loved the food arrangement when we were served proper delicious meals three times a day and basically every day the menu was different It gave us a chance to try a lot of homemade local specialties I would highly recommend to go volunteering in Ghana

I was hesitant at the start pondering about all the negative things that could possibly happen on this trip Especially when it was my first time ever traveling overseas and being 20 hours away from home and being on an island without knowing anyone But I decided to go along with it despite the fear of the unknown and will say that I m glad I did I did two weeks in the Philippines doing healthcare and the staff were wonderful and very attentive from the start at pickup at the airport till the end of my departure They were always doing there best to exceed expectations and meet everyone s needs to ensure everyone was comfortable and felt welcomed The people who I have the privilege to be around with during my volunteering were definitely the greatest people that made this trip ten-times worthwhile I will never forget the great experiences that came with volunteering at the Philippines

I decided to volunteer through IVHQ because I wanted additional security and reassurance when volunteering abroad Every step of the way IVHQ was helpful and easy to communicate with I volunteered for 3 weeks in Arusha Tanzania doing childcare IVHQ connected me with the local team The entire preparation process was made easy as IVHQ use tools and reminders to ensure that you have everything covered Any issues that arise the team was quick to communicate with us and have everything rectified The local team in Arusha was amazing Everything from accommodation to transport and food was good quality and comfortable I was able to fully be immersed into the local culture in Arusha because I felt safe to so knowing that I had the support of IVHQ and The local team Volunteering with the children is an experience that I will never forget They truly taught me more than I could have ever imagined about joy and resilience Volunteering with IVHQ is definitely something I would recommend to anyone especially people in their 20 s if their family members may have concerns about them going abroad alone IVHQ ensure that every concern is put to ease

I had an absolutely wonderful time on my mission Being able to give back while also being immersed in the local culture was a truly one of a kind experience IVHQ did a great job of providing many details regarding expectations that accurately depicted my experiences The entire process was very smooth in that there was a lot of communication with the organization in regards to reminders for deadlines and what was needed The local team was absolutely fantastic and made one feel very comfortable I have no doubt that I will partake in another experience and would definitely encourage others to give it a try

I had such a wonderful experience with IVHQ and the local team they connected me with in Cusco Peru The communcation before my 3 week trip was fantastic so I arrived in Peru feeling equiped excited and ready to volunteer

Perfect experience amazing team and coordinators I was treated like family and the team went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable at all times Volunteered during January in Arusha Tanzania with IVHQ THE The volunteer experience childcare was extremely rewarding and many activities and excursions were made possible through IVHQ safaris village tours Kilimanjaro hike and more

I learned many lessons during the 3 months that I spent in Bali Everyone was amazing from day one It is great how you can meet people who have the same values as you and share a lot of qualities Truly the best experience

IVHQ has really thought of everything to make your trip easy You are adequately prepared for a true cultural immersion experience I really enjoyed it and will hopefully do again

From start to finish the program was guided with great communication and support to my daughter and I as volunteers The preparation used a clear checklist with access to live support Then once the program started we were met with tremendous hospitality a beautiful community and support throughout our volunteer work The experience was safe and fun and deeply meaningful Thank you IVHQ and the Local Team
