What a joke
I created an account two weeks ago and was informed that it had been approved Unfortunately attempting to contact the company has proven to be a challenging experience I recently spent three and a half minutes on the phone listening to a slow-speaking automated system only to be informed that the department I needed was closed This has been frustrating for me as the company appears disorganized Communication through Facebook messages has been ineffective as I find myself repeatedly answering the same questions Additionally I have received rude emails requesting information that I have already provided When I inquired about this issue I did not receive a response Considering these difficulties I am considering trying a different company such as Sterling I am disappointed with the confusion and lack of professionalism I have encountered thus far

Do NOT open a Monzo account
I m putting an additional review on here in the hope unwitting new customers might avoid a terrible banking experience It s genuinely frightening how helpless I feel with my money being looked after by this incompetent bank The other complaints on here sum up the risk of fraud and other account management problems I have been experiencing in just 6 months of having an account Impossible to contact anyone of use when even minor difficulties arise

I have lost all confidence in Monzo
I have lost all confidence in Monzo I use it as my primary bank and most of my money is in there but all of my transactions including transferring into my joint account is failing and just saying use lock screen instead - no more information I got into chat support and sat there while the MORON helping me refused to type anything So the account doesn t work and I can t get support So all of my money is trapped in this terrible bank Absolutely disgusting

Useless
Again just another company who pretends to be a friend yet don t want to help even anything goes wrong Good luck getting a chargeback or any decent help They also use the flex function on the app to get young and vulnerable people into debt with an insanely high interest rate Have used their cashback system before but never got the money Use a proper bank like lloyds this bank is useless

Worst bank I ve ever dealt with Lost card when travelling abroad and trying to sort out money etc chat service- waited over an hour and still no reply Customer service and even complaints dept worse than useless If it wasn t for Santander I d have been screwed Will be moving funds and closing my account when I get back

Withdrew all my money from my Monzo account card after numerous attempts to take fraudulent money from my account To speak to anyone about this problem is an impossibility and a multiple of box questions to go through to explain your problem which lead nowhere I was told they had refunded an amount which was fraudulently taken but this has never appeared in my account Great card for the first couple of months then hit rock bottom quickly Have emptied my account and froze the card but even today another attempt to take money from my account Advice keep well clear of this company
