They do the job but their customer service is atrocious Jesus people I am a paying customer

Hello I m writing to request a re-evaluation of my academic credentials I graduated from Tribhuvan University of Nepal with a four-year Bachelor s degree BBA in 2017 and a two-year Masters degree MBA in 2020 Because I needed my credentials assessed I sent my master s document to WES and received my credential report on December 21 2022 with reference number 5796060 My Masters degree equivalence was only a bachelor s degree I realized I had made a mistake by sending only my master s documents after consulting with my friends I initially spent about 300 Canadian dollars on Wes fees and shipping costs As a result I decided to redo my credential by submitting both my bachelor s and master s documents I spent another 150 Canadian dollars on my second assessment I was extremely dissatisfied with WES s evaluation system when I received my equivalence with reference number 5920696 on March 23 2023 My friend who studied the same degree at the same university received a master s equivalence and now I have double bachelor s equivalence This WES equivalence has caused me to question the relevance of my master s degree as well as the validity of WES I have spent 16 years of my life studying until I finished my bachelor s degree and another 18 years until I finished my master s degree As a result the question arises Why does WES provide different equivalence for students studying at the same university at the same time and Does WES have a specific metric to evaluate student academic performance I am an outstanding student with a 3 87 CGPA in my bachelor s degree and a 3 91 CGPA in my master s degree I earned both of these degrees through hard work and dedication I m sending this email in the hopes that WES will give me a fair evaluation of my education I have spent a significant amount of money time and effort on this process I m sending this email in the hopes of receiving a master s degree equivalence Yours Faithfully Aastha Bhattarai

I hired a study certification service From being a period of 3-5 days it was extended to 9-10 I paid to receive the documentation at my address - 16 days after starting the process and 7 since they claim to certify it I am still waiting for some documents that have not arrived For another shipment to the Study Center to which I am applying I have paid 30 dollars for the document plus 35 for express delivery 65 Well now they don t deliver nor do I know where the certification is I called the center At lost thanks to the Canadian postal service I have to wait another 14days but WES does not know or answer but They tell me that the institution proceed through the link for institutions to download it but they do not provide me with the link either and the Educational Center that does not tell you stories but I said but because days after I called and received their help with the Educational Center I changed my personal reference but WES must be change so much

We applied for evaluations for my wife s diplomas and attached electronic copies of all of her documents with all apostilles and translations Half of the year 2020 they were doing literally nothing We were trying to write them letters and call them and they did not provide any useful information Finally my wife decided to mail them physically printed copies of the documents and then they eventually reacted saying that we need to work with their partner in our country and send all of the documents only through them That means they wanted us to pay one more time for another apostille and another translation from their partner and which is crazy it is only can be done in that country but not in the USA where we actually live This is absurd We requested a refund and they have returned around 85 of the money I would never recommend this company to anyone Save your time and money

Don t ask us clients to go through the hassle of contacting our international institution and getting them to send us documents in sealed envelops that we forward to you if you have to contact them again to ask them to verify the same documents The first step is pointless Why didn t WES contact the institition directly in the first place avoiding us the trouble of going through the first step which is revealed to be a waste of time It was a waste of time and resources The process is inefficient and ridiculous What are we paying for if WES cannot provide swift service by taking care of those things electronically via a secure communication between them and the institutions Why should we still get involved in the communication and degree verification process between them and the institutions What are we paying for This is the 21st century Adapt

Pros 1 they issued my degree equivalency certificate2 They charged 2 diplomas by 1 priceCons They rounded the year of awarding in one of diplomas from the end of 2011 to 2012 and translated name of my national degree Candidate of Sciences in singular while it should be in plural according to UNESCO document Mutual recognition of qualifications the Russian Federation and the other European countries CEPES Bucharest 1997 moreover it is in plural in translation that I sent them for certification When I found it I ask them to correct it but they replied by standard letter that my evaluation is finished Next I wrote to National Association of Credential Evaluation Services NACES to help me with this issue with their member NACES redirected my letter to WES and they repeated the same response to me I wrote to NACES again and only after NACES pressure they resent me my certificate with corrected date of awarding but not my degree name changed to plural Now I just ordered other translation where I asked translation bureau to write my degree translation in singular that to use it together with my certificate because at least it contains degree transcription from Russian that is enough

They falsely advertise their document review times as taking 7 days but your application will likely be on hold for this time period until things start to progress Mine didn t progress for some time as I believe the email address they instructed me to send my transcripts to gradintel at wes org was inactive or unmanned I had to browse Reddit to discover that other applicants are sending their transcripts to another email address submit at wes org uk I followed their required documents section and was informed that I only had to provide my HEAR transcripts and not my degree certificates given that I m from the UK However after waiting 2 weeks for my evaluation they then requested for me to provide my certificates Now I have 2 days left until my application deadline and I still haven t received my evaluation Throughout the process I ve tried messaging and calling them but their customer service is lacklustre When I messaged their customer service they took 6 days to reply On the phone they basically just tell you to wait and don t help to expedite the process This company doesn t care about customer service because they are surviving off of legacy and endorsements

There s lots of bad reviews here but my ECA was done within the timescale WES provided The ECA for Canada IRCC takes 35 days according to WES website and mine was done within that after my documents were received by them Yes this is different to the 6 days quoted on their front page however is within the standard timeframe when they quote when you book your ECA The customer service emails from WES aren t that great and quite generic but I got a better response from a Facebook messenger message In all my ECA was received in the time stated so happy with that and the only issue was their customer service contact which could be improved Otherwise on time and simple to use

Needing a credential report for our Canadian residency application we saw WES as one of the recommended companies to use The reports online were mixed but we went ahead with WES and the whole process from start to finish has exceed expectation and I did not encounter any of the issues flagged in reviews From the start of the application it was clear what was needed what the next steps were and the automatic communication and notifications via email and the app kept me updated The whole process took just 2-3 weeks in total and way quicker than the 6 months that I was expecting from reading reviews Would highly recommend WES based on my experience couldn t fault anything
