Financial Burden

I sent a letter to Westgate on July 17 but still no response I guess they have nothing to say when someone calls them out for their fraudulent behavior I have been a customer of theirs since 2000 and am finally disgusted with their behavior Throughout the years there have been more upgrades and more scams It is so sad to see the process of this company developing horrible and manipulative behaviors towards their customers I am retired and on a fixed income and have already paid about 50 000 towards this timeshare I cannot handle the financial burden from this and just need it to end Please respond to my letter Westgate I look forward to hearing from you and being released from my contract To everyone else reading this consider it a warning and stay away from Westgate

Timeshare presentation

During a timeshare presentation we were initially offered a gift in exchange for 90 minutes of our time which ultimately stretched into a protracted 5-hour session marked by intense pressure and manipulation Notably our driver s licenses were temporarily confiscated with the commitment of their return upon the presentation s conclusion raising immediate concerns Deceptive claims played a pivotal role in persuading our purchase including promises of rental income tax advantages and discounted Disney tickets none of which materialized The exclusivity of resorts for owners was misrepresented as we discovered that non-owners secured similar accommodations online for significantly less A mandatory meeting a year later offered no respite as a sales representative falsely assured us that we could downgrade our package Instead the new contract inflated costs and nearly doubled maintenance fees The lack of an opportunity to review the new terms before signing on a tablet compounded our unease and the promised contract delivery was not fulfilled Despite repeated efforts these documents remained elusive A particularly troubling incident involved a representative s scribbled numbers on a piece of paper which did not align with our contract underscoring a disconcerting level of dishonesty The accommodations we were shown during the tours bore little resemblance to the outdated subpar rooms we received Promised benefits like a nearby beach were misleading as we encountered an off-limits neglected area overrun by weeds

Unfair high pressure company

I urge anyone considering a timeshare with Westgate to stay far far away The level of dishonesty manipulation and outright deception employed by Westgate during the sales pitch was beyond appalling I was offered a free weekend stay in Florida contingent upon a 90-minute presentation Little did I know that this brief presentation would devolve into four hours We repeatedly expressed disinterest yet they persisted making it clear that our no meant nothing We were subjected to false promises of exotic travel destinations and exclusive perks that turned out to be nothing but empty lies The tactics used by the Westgate sales team were reminiscent of a shady used car dealership We were assured that becoming Westgate members would save us money on travel but hidden fees and charges made it significantly more expensive than booking independently Their claims of the timeshare being an investment were outright lies The reality was a worthless timeshare that we couldn t even rent out to recoup our losses The irregularities didn t end with the sales pitch Westgate tampered with our financial information forcing us to lie about the sale During the closing process details were withheld and we were rushed through signing a contract worth tens of thousands of dollars After six years of paying over 10 000 to Westgate we have received none of the promised benefits No ease of travel no flexibility in stays and certainly no return on investment

Hey Westgate what is stopping you from replying to the letter we sent to your CEO last month Is it the fact that we have called out all your lies and manipulative sales tactics Is it the fact that you just do not care Either way it is completely wrong to scam people The lack of explanation of the contract the lies of availability the inaccurate price of purchase the pressure from the sales is what your salespeople had to do to get us to purchase The loan terms maintenance fees total interest percentage and other fees were never disclosed either I can t decide what is worse the things that we were told or the things that we were not told either way we ve been scammed We are writing this review to warn everyone about these horrible scams and games Westgate plays

Westgate Resort just lies out there butts Scam artist

I wished there was a lower star Bought a time share here and was scammed from the get go They lied about every thing like we were told they would gut the apartment every four years and make it new Then for 140 dollars you could get a deferent time Then during one stay they had screwed the windows shut of first floor because of security they say but I say fire death trap Please heed my warning and do not under any circumstances ever go to these scam artist for any thing Just my opinion that happens to be shared by thousands of others scammed customers Just do a Google search As of 2023 they have now raised the fees to almost 1500 dollars for a two bedroom and there is no end in sight Do your self a huge favor and do not do any business with them

Ken at Westgate is a lying scoundrel He told us we could expect to make 3 000 A WEEK by renting out our timeshare through AirBnB News flash that is not true Kens endless lies have cost us tens of thousands of dollars and a lifetime of unwanted stress Ken also told us we d have DISCOUNTED ACCESS TO DISNEY Their parks resorts AND CRUISES More lies spun in his web to entrap us in a contract they never told was in perpetuity To make matters worse we sent a complaint letter to the CEO of Westgate and to no surprise there has been no response and it s been a month Do not get sucked into one of their presentations let alone stay at one of their resorts You will regret it for the rest of your life

Most horrid hotel experience in our life

Please avoid Westgate Vacations Villas 7700 Westgate Blvd Kissimmee in Florida Worst Resort with outdated rooms and old amenities I booked this resort thru VacationVIP and stayed in room 511-B 1st floor At the check-in we were told the room was just renovated and I looked forward for pleasant stay However the studio turned out to be an old smelly and dirty unit sliding door did not lock whirlpool tub was dirty Air conditioner stopped working on 1st night We had to call cleaning Maintenace to fix all unfortunately everything was just so old that it did not help much I asked for room change but was refused We stayed as we had all parks booked and only returned to sleep We had Timeshare presentation on 9 16 2023 as part of this Great deal Maria who is from Venezuela as she told us right from the start was only concerned with my husband s demeanor totally ignored me and after 10 min of her very hostile behavior left and never came back I guess she had decided we were probably not going to buy anything after such bad accommodations I do not understand how they can put potential buyers owners in such horrid rooms and then try to sell the resort package
