Excellent customer service
I don t normally write reviews but do read them however after reading the negative reviews regarding their customer service I feel I should share my experience after purchasing a bottle of perfume from World Duty Free at Heathrow terminal 2 on the 7th June 2023 When I came to use the perfume on the first night of my holiday I was disappointed to find the perfume had a stale off smell so the following day I contact WDF via the e mail address on the back of the receipt and reported the issue with them and enquired how to return the perfume I expected the reply to take a few days but was surprised to get a reply back in just over an hour The reply contained an apology a return form and instructions for returning the perfume on my return to the UK When I got home 2 weeks later the perfume was packaged up as per instructions and taken to the post office where unfortunatly I was informed that they could not send the perfume because it was no longer in the original packaging it was in its original box but opened and they do not transport perfume which has been opened The e mail also gave the option of sending via courier but on checking on line the majority of courier companies do not transport perfume either I contacted WDF customer services again and explained my situation and asked if they could recommend a courier company who could return the opened perfume At this point I looked at the reviews for WDF on this site and I must admit my heart sank and i was convinced I was going to get stuck with the pefume however to my surprise i got a reply back in under an hour informing me on this occassion they were refunding the full amount for the fragrance without its return and 3 days later the refund was in my account I can only state my experience with WDF customer services has been excellent and I would certainly have no hestitation in purchasing from them again

Cannot be trustedThis company cannot be trusted to keep their promises Their customer service network is slow and inefficient Do not buy anything from Duty Free with the expectation of collecting it upon your return - they state they are 24hrs but they are not One of the worst examples of customer service I ever experienced Truly a shocking company that only wants your money

Avoid
I never believed that such a big company with international status serving international customers could be that poor They promise quibble free returns Yeah right Returned my product as directed never heard back from them Ever Calls voicemails emails So I paid for the product paid for the return and lost the product I have now challenged the transaction via my credit card but still haven t heard back Will never give my money to them ever again

Very poor organisation
Ordered alcohol and perfume to collect on 11th April at Heathrow terminal 5 during a flight transfer Should have been an easy experience where the items should have been ready for collection and I expected to be there for 5 minutes at most When I tried to collect I was informed that the items had been put back onto the shelves and I needed to select them When I went to pay all the items were more expensive than when I ordered them online After more than 20 minutes I left the store with all my items which had to be manually reduced at the till Almost missed my connection as a result Very stressful experience and would think twice about using this service again

Dumbing down
We ve travelled on North Sea Ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge for many years I ve always relied on picking up some holiday reading in the onboard shop - not this year The World Duty Free organisation has decided there s no profit in books Shame on you

Terminal 4 Tanned foreign lady with hair in bun
Terminal 4 perfume section duty free I left the store devastated 4pm 16th of sept and I am never one to complain A tanned foreign lady with hair in a bun brown hair having a chat with a work colleague I was interested in an item and I needed to ask a question to do with duty free and how it worked the way she replied was so belittling and made me feel so stupid It s like I was interrupting a juicy conversation and I was being a nuisance I walked away about to cry I m happy I m on holidays and then there s people like that to upset you anyways I did purchase the item would expect better service 150 later

Advertised price for perfume as 20
Advertised price for perfume as 20 with 40 discount 14 57 When I i look paid receipt checked at 25 Staff member was rude and manager were accused me and changed the price tag in front of my eyes and other customer eyes wrongly quoted the law regarding wrong prices and deliberately attempted to delay my leaving to catch my flight they shouted and threatened me to leave the store as a Black British I feel proud not to be roud but respect others this are a bunch of gangsters who treated customs please be aware of this store in terminal 2 time - and begrudgingly refunded Won t be using these rip off merchants again and suggest if you do that you check your bill carefully

Dear Sir Madam I am writing to you regarding a purchase I made in London Airport My heart is bleeding that how I feel I am angry and frustrated Today I purchased an a hourglass eye shadow stick I decided that I deserve something nice as I don t usually purchase that cosmetics It s too expensive for me and I wanted to treat myself Now while flying I opened the package to find out that this has been totally damaged and probably the staff knew that but they hoped whoever purchased to don t oped it and checked And yea they sold this to me naively I have never checked it I am extremely disappointed I had a connection flight in London to Bulgaria I was flying from Edinburgh today I am not having any planned trips to return to London as my return flight is a direct flight to Edinburgh I want either full refund either replacement of my item as this is not acceptable Look forward to hearing from you Attached images Thanks Desislava Rusekova
