not a very good yoga school

This school misled and ripped-off at least several hundred students when originally starting up Basically sold a bunch of people a bunch of courses at a great deal that still haven t been released over a year later If you re looking for a certificate mill option this a is a good choice as it is eligible for Yoga Alliance registration but doesn t require all of those bothersome things like actually doing 200 hours of training or doing synchronous learning or all that other stuff Yoga Alliance typically requires in order to get YA certified If you re looking for a good yoga school sans a headmaster who financially takes advantage of students without any sign of remorse and plays messed up games avoid this one Yogamu doesn t have their own YTT The Bhakti Yogshala course which they licensed for their use was developed during 2020 when YA standards were transitioning to online and far less stringent than they currently supposedly are As far as updating with the financial information I had purchased multiple certificates in one package for 199 in December of 2020 Of those multiple certificates 6 total only the one produced by Bhakti Yogshala was in existence at the time of sale A very short 2 hrs video content and 11 pages of YTC handouts prenatal course was eventually released late spring of 2021 but there was no certificate issued upon completion No others that I purchased have been released I ve already explained to yogamu that I wasn t a fan of the contradictions in some of the classes and that I found the misinformation and mispronunciations of the Sanskrit words distracting Your Kundalini and meditation classes were not what I was interested in They were not what I purchased I would have been totally fine had I not wasted any of my time perusing them You shouldn t sell people something then fail to deliver then be like well look at all this other stuff I gave you that you didn t even want It s called a bait-and-switch and it s not an ethical business practice I m done emailing your support email as simple questions have a way of turning into lengthy threads without being answered whenever I do that I ve got more productive things to do with my time Maybe you should get on that as well

Worst headache and regret

I don t know if the issue is English language problems or if this is just the most botched way of running a course site - but I never got to access my course and they won t refund me or confirm they will stop the automatic charges So now I m sending in about 75 pages of documentation to the credit company I m sad to see that the replies by this company to the other low ratings show even some malice It s also antithetical to yoga I have had many back and forths with this company and they never truly answer a question or solve a problem they ignore the requests in the emails and gaslight with asking me to specify with what s wrong or please try this or try that or they say there was an issue on their end so please try again etc I tried about 6 different times to log in or create a log in or follow their instructions and nothing worked They are still asking me what is wrong or try this and I refuse to spend my time trying to log in anymore Disppointed bc it sounded like a good deal that you can accelerate your learning for the same price While waiting for my account to be fixed as in how to access the actual course I watched a video or two on one of their websites they send endless amounts of emails which is also very confusing - since I paid for the option to get more than one cert why they keep sending marketing emails to sign up it s terrible and the quality of audio was so bad I couldn t make out what they were saying If this is an indication of the actual course it would be a problem anyway I have been charged 99 for 3 months so far and no one there is conceding that this is an issue and refunding no one is acknowledging that I won t be billed again

I have had such a terrible experience

I have had such a terrible experience with this company I wish I could give it 0 stars I joined the All Bundle Subscription in January when I was given a discount code which was supposed to give me 50 off the entire course This is the only reason I signed up as I knew I couldn t afford it otherwise I got the 1st month 50 off but then the 2nd month Feb the full price was taken I emailed straight away asking for clarification making clear I couldn t afford the full payment and got no reply I emailed several times but got no reply until April when I was asked to the problem explain again I was asked for receipts which I provided and then was asked for my phone number which I gave I was asked for when the best time to call is but this message went into my spam so I didn t get it straight away Not sure why this couldn t be sorted by email though I emailed several times again and didn t get another reply until July when I was asked to explain AGAIN the problem Which I had basically been doing in every email I d sent They replied with so you want to reduce your monthly payment I responded explaining again the situation At this point I still wanted to continue with the course if I could be credited the overpayments or to cancel if the discount wasn t going to be honoured Now I am so sick of this whole situation I want a refund and to have nothing further to do with this company I have been very unimpressed with the little I have done of the courses This situation is financially and mentally damaging and there has been no courtesy or consideration from Yogamu I need a resolution to this

SCAM AVOID

SCAM AVOID I signed up to a course via this service they use a multi platform set up including poor quality low res videos to deliver their content in a way that is problematic to navigate - i spent an entire month asking for a short instruction guide and course outline having someone called Ravi promise me over and over he would deliver something which the company should have already had made and should of taken minutes to create In the end I gave up and asked for a manager having wasted a chunk of the time i planned to use for this endeavour - the manager sent an email making out she had no clue of the situation i replied explaining and asking for a refund as i had not received the services and to cancel the course she did not reply but did cancel my access but DID NOT refund me - this company are incompetent at best - thieves at worst - avoid Please anyone else who this has happened to speak up and get in touch to stop them YOGAMU - provide my refund UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO YOGAMUS REPLY - I have received NO email response still from Megha Banerjee despite multiple emails being sent to her and I have received no refund I suggest you have someone actually contact me to confirm refund via email or phone and not just lie on here

You get what you pay for

While there is vast knowledge within it is disorganized video quality is poor customer student service is slow at best and non-responsive often While live classes are offered they are difficult to get into don t provide great feedback and are not user friendly in finding the correct time I was often not let in to class sitting in the virtual waiting room I received more promos for signing up for more classes than I did support in receiving guidance I felt they just wanted more money and were not providing a real service Sending in your video for completion is confusing and poorly explained of requirements I submitted in June and waited till November to get my certification only after having to post publicly that it was taking forever because my customer support requests went ignored They only were quick when I posted my question via a public platform Navigating the information was confusing and directionless the AP classes were a joke in random order and incomplete The facebook group for students was the most valuable resource as they relied on former students to suss out each others questions Instead of recognizing repeated issues and resolving them I was not impressed fell for a sale that seems to be going on all the time I fell for marketing I think there is potential for them to be something great but they need to resolve some bigger issues for the student and back off on the promotions selling It was a great opportunity to delve into the practice and knowledge of yoga and pushed me to realize I do want a deeper knowledge and signed up for an in-person training Which has been eye opening and scary considering that YogaMu is certifying teachers who I don t think are coming out with the skills and knowledge to safely instruct I wasn t

I decided to join the course and paid 150 dollars minimum donation 10 - maximum donation 300 After I joined I realised that the course was not what I had expected and I wrote perhaps 4 days after joining the course to ask if they would consider refunding a part of the money I paid Somebody from the team wrote back very quickly and after a bit of back and forth they said they would forward my request to the accounting team and get back to me asap They never got back to me I emailed them again three times over the course of some weeks Each time they said they would get back to me asap It has now been a month since my first email and I am yet to hear back with a response that goes beyond we will get back to you asap and Every student is part of our yogamu family and we never let them down I am left with the impression that they have been leading me on without ever intending to refund or even respond to my request

I asked for a refund the day after

I asked for a refund the day after purchasing because I logged in and immediately knew it wasn t legit one of the first resources posted was a YouTube video one can access for free outside of the course Unfortunately no one has gotten back to me about the refund which is another sign that something isn t quite right Normally legitimate businesses have support staff who respond promptly and are willing to do their best to issue a refund if you are unsatisfied with your product or services received which I most definitely am Not sure who from YogaMu took it upon themselves to write all these 5 star reviews but luckily there are a few 1 star reviews to warn buyers Buyers if you re looking for online yoga teacher training and think to yourself Wow YogaMu has such a great deal on this training that s normally very expensive I ll buy it Don t It s 100 a scam

A concerning approach to yoga

I purchased a package of courses over a year ago but the courses I purchased have never been delivered Others have of questionable quality I don t know why the Yoga Alliance allow this school to be registered with them the school and courses do not meet the standard set out by them If you just want a certificate with little effort this is a good choice but if you want to learn and actually care about yoga and your students it is not The man in charge is manipulative and rude as well He can be quite aggressive in tone Yet in the way we have seen over and over again in the yoga world many follow unquestioning and defending him It is worrying Students who do question or provide critique - or who point out errors flaws and inconsistencies in the school and leadership s messaging are shot down which prevents other like me from feeling able to speak out Avoid the school and pick another and if you are a current student widen your view and open your mind to more than the limited opinions of a manipulative leader

This school is a scam

After going back and forth with customer service Ravi over a discount code the founder Nikolai responded and told me I would be issued a refund if I wanted one At first I told him that I would take the courses I paid for but after not only finding reviews of people being scammed by this school I also found that Yogamu has blocked me from commenting on their facebook page I wrote mutliple emails stating that I want a refund ALL emails are being ignored

I have chosen a different life path and

I have chosen a different life path and reached out to Yogamu on November 11 2023 and requested a refund for the Ayurvedic Practitioner Course I paid for but have yet to start I also sent a message regarding my legal name change Yogamu was very quick to respond regarding the name change but has yet to respond to the messages regarding the refund request It is truly unfortunate that customer service proves to be of little importance to Yogamu I have sent another message just to receive another generic response
