I finished the program 1 year ago And have still not been able to get my certificate issued I called they don t answer and I email and they say they ll get back to me and never do This was 200 hrs I spent practicing to not be able to be certified very unprofessional and should be illegal

Yogamu is really affordable and seems good to start with however the second you need help they ignore you for 6 weeks I have been trying to contact someone who offered to fix my problem and then when I asked why they started ignoring me they wanted to call me I was speaking with someone on the live chat and they same thing happened A minute or less between responses until I needed help when the courses I purchased were not showing up on my dashboard and still have not been able to talk to anyone

Been waiting for 6 days to get access to a course I ve purchased Never received the email with credentials to access the course tried the forgot password option about 20x but it doesn t work Never received an answer to my email asking for support either Just some automatic email and nothing has been done so far I guess I ll have to dispute the charge with my credit card company because they did complete the charge within 48h after purchase their accounting dept is obviously more efficient than the customer service or the IT team Bottom line don t get lured by the cheap price and run away

Completed the course the material is great but there s no chance to contact anyone I send the required 30 min video and received no response It took a month and tons of attempts to contact them everywhere including Instagram The only response I got after a month was that I need to upload the video Did I make mistakes during the video or they just can t open it that is unclear and there s no way to find out as it was automated response Live chat took me nowhere and all got were emails that my request had been passed on and that was it All my attempts to follow up on my request took me nowhere

Customer service was non existent Although they respond VERY quickly to each public poor review trying to save face Their marketing is powerful but the reality is that this is a simply a money making creation for the founder It is abundantly clear that they don t care about supporting the students or offering a valuable yoga teacher training course The written course is 100 from a free website online that anyone can access online There is tremendous disorganization and low level consciousness It is disheartening that somehow this company is yoga alliance recognized Looks like a payoff to me or a gross oversight Dog peeing on a fire hydrant pose is something that one of the better instructors teaches with many references to twerking along the way In case you don t know that is not a pose I understand wanting to appeal to a younger audience but that is not what yoga is about Yoga is a sacred practice that changes lives when given the chance Becoming a yoga instructor is a personal journey that involves ever deepening levels of awareness and consciousness It is a practice of personal evolution Yogamu is a shameful misrepresentation of the practice If you are seeking real yoga Yogamu is not the place

The customer support is criminal I was one of the original members of this company when they first opened during Covid shutdowns I was promised access to all other courses as they were rolled out in the future I have not been able to access courses despite my many many emails I sent them probably the 30th email asking for access once again They emailed back asking for my receipt Are you kidding me I m supposed to have that after4 years You can t find me in your system I have my certificate from your yoga school so shouldn t you be able to find me It s very fraudulent behavior You talk about the yamas and niyamas in your training Why don t you walk the walk and not just talk the talk

I completed my 300 hour program at YogaMu they name they market their YTT s under and submitted my materials as well as months prior had asked questions about the completion requirements No one got back to me for 6 months and multiple requests I have contacted the emails that are provided and core ones in the program come back and mail undeliverable The one s I have been able to go through and their student question site has not responded to anything except saying I ll check on it I was a huge proponent of this program for the past year and some odd months because I do believe the content is good However the videos are filmed poorly it s hard to understand there are no visuals in the presentations except a white board They offer no modifications to poses whatsoever This is not the program for someone who is focusing on any type of adaptive modified yoga for all type approach It is also not trauma informed and I find that there are constant emails to students trying to loop you into affiliate and MLM programs which tells me that the goal here is questionable at best Nikolai the main trainer of the nn asana programs i e meditation provides a lot of different psychological education however he is not a psychotherapist and tries to provide training in that area and misses the mark and can be offensive with lack of cultural competency and understanding demonstrated As a trained therapist it s really out of his scope and needs to be adjusted I would say stay away from this program I honestly never thought this would be the outcome and was so excited to study from traditional yogis which I was told is a partner organization in India Bhaktiyogshala who evidently their YTT s go through however the administration YogaMu business practices and ultimately the lack of communication or acknowledgement of completion is very very poor Updated There was a response underneath claiming I m not a to student of Yogamu which is a lie I provided my Teachable account screenshot showing tons of courses I enrolled in from Yogamu with that brand name all ov r it I can provide the documents that have the Yogamu logo Nikolai and Tamryn s names on them and in the courses It is YogaMu who finally responded to my request which was another debacle and ended up in retaliation that very night which was completely unprofessional They replied with a slew of messages after I posted this review which contained gaslighting and included retaliation from YogaMu and even unprofessional response from Nikolai himself Added Nov 11 2022YogaMu responded by locking me out of my training on it s site on Teachable committing retaliation gaslighting stating it s not possible to do so on teachable I run a teachable school and know differently blaming me trying to get me to change my review to the positive because Bhaktiyogshala did confirm my YTT after going directly to YA 3 different times This process alone violates the basic concepts of yoga philosophy in the retaliation After I notified YogaMu that I had photographs of their retaliation against my truthful review of my experience with both organizations they immediately reestablished my coursework that I was in the middle of completing that very night and began gaslighting again Days later Nikolai reached out in email personally and was unprofessional abrasive and inappropriate in which I did not respond I unsubscribed to your system but continued to get harassing emails for your MLM even when blocking and putting them in spam Bhaktiyogshala did confirm my 300hour completion after the debacle described above As for YogaMu and Nikolai customer service and the retaliation I further decided due to direct retaliation and gaslighting that I am not taking further enrolled courses that I had not completed with them 5 or more and taking it as a loss and pursued them with more reputable organizations YA was made aware of this situation from the beginning and has all my documents in the grievance that was filed I will not comment further and you re continued sending me of emails even though I ve unsubscribed is harassing Note there original response was deleted this evening around 11 15pm CT and now they are claiming they are the wrong organization which is a complete fabrication and another episode of gaslighting

I have sent numerous emails asking for information on what I have to submit to complete my course but no one seems to be able to give me an answer I emailed the teacher who seems like a lovely person Once I asked if I could be directed to someone to inquire about getting a refund I was told I would be emailed a certification as soon as possible Luckily I am not out a lot of money as I got a black friday sale I am writing the review to warn others who might be on fence about this school Update I have been emailed a certificate At no point was I asking for the certificate without doing the work I only wanted to know what I had to submit how to access the monthly class etc Other YTT I have taken required a test and a sequence be submitted as proof of competency so was trying to be prepared I did not have to submit anything for this one Update 2 I agree that in person is a necessity one of my original questions was how to access the live class You are now contradicting yourself because I was sent a certificate despite all of the things you say I failed to do You asked why I gave a 1 star I responded to the email I will change it to a 3 star in hopes you stop emailing me

I ve completed most of the 200hr YTT Written materials are full of spelling errors and some misinformation Several of the recorded videos are so hard to hear I couldn t complete them Very few of the live or recorded sessions are friendly to those with different physical abilities Some of the videos spew misinformation too I supplemented my course with several books from reliable sources eg anatomy book written by a DPT and videos that are easier to learn from and provide alternatives for people whose bodies need them I ll complete the last 20 of the course but I would not recommend the program unless you plan to supplement as I did

I asked for a refund for the Ayurvedic Practitioner course within the 7 day refund period and was not given one I sent multiple emails to support and only once did I receive a reply They asked if I would like to credit the refund towards another course I said no thank you I would like a refund I never received a response nor a refund I sent more emails asking about my refund and never received a response I even opened up a new ticket which was closed my yogamu the very next day without resolution I filed a claim with my credit card company and Affirm Yogamu is a dishonest company Scam alert UPDATE Jan 31 2024 Well after sending multiple emails to Yogamu opening 3 claims with my credit card AND a claim with Affirm Shop pay I finally received my refund from Yogamu They said it took longer due to the holidays but somebody took the time to solve my email requesting a refund without providing a refund or communicating anything else I am relived that I got my refund but communication on Yogamu s behalf was seriously lacking
