Poor service Wouldn t recommend

Poor experience from the Exmouth branch and then more recently the London branch with our deposit Awful and wildly inaccurate inventory process Said the property we moved into was cleaned to a high standard - it was filthy when we moved in But no one seemed to care when we returned the inventory full of corrections and comments and complained Always had to chase them - never returned calls Never heard anything from them during the whole tenancy even when our contract was up for renewal they didn t get in touch like they were meant to Poor communication on the check out process and then really unhelpful in supporting us on returning our deposit which the landlord delayed releasing without reason Told we had to sort it with the landlord ourselves even though it was their job and we had to keep chasing them on any updates because they never contacted when they said they would Eventually got it back 6 weeks later after numerous calls and emails Wouldn t recommend

Generally an extremely poor experience having bought a house through them and attempted to purchase others Undoubtedly the worst customer service I have ever received from an Estate Agency Ideally focusing on the job in hand would be good putting customer needs first and not trying to push their recommended mortgage brokers and solicitors on to you would be a great start Overall rating disappointing

Avoid renting through your move

Avoid renting through your move We have been waiting years for repairs on the property and they still haven t been done and they refused to get the landlord to replace old single paned windows resulting in a cold house over winter and high energy bills They will also just decide at a moments notice you owe them money despite being able to prove all rent is paid in full and up to date

Very quick to tell us to accept an offer boards put up 5 days after taking upfront money estate agent uninterested in correspondence after making sale no choice of own lawyer so lawyers chosen probably high mark up for percentage to agent not worth the money for photograph I could do myself 450 00 put online answer a few calls could do myself also 1 on top absolute robbery still waiting to hear about purchaser awful go purple bricks or Delmor

This is a company that really needs to work on its Customer Communication The general level of service provided is fine but this is let down by a drip feed method of communication particularly where costs are involved In my most recent experience I was contacted by Your Move to advise me that my tenant had decided he wanted to terminate the lease early Immediately I asked what the cost to me would be for re-marketing the property I was told that that as an early termination penalty the outgoing tenant would be liable for the re-marketing costs and that the process would not cost me a penny New tenants were quickly found vetted and handed the keys to the apartment whereupon I had presented with an invoice for a 200 Shortfall Payment This was subsequently explained but this just exemplifies the drip feed nature of the communication from Your Move If this was a reasonable anticipated charge I should have been advised at the outset Three weeks in to the new tenancy I received a Landlord Statement showing that Your Move were holding on to the first months rent in partial payment of the Set Up Fee leaving me liable for another 200 This is the cost that I had initially been advised was the liability of the outgoing tenant Re-marketing my property following an early lease termination has gone from not costing me a penny to costing me 1 700 It it unlikely that I will be using Your Move s Services for future Lettings

Over valued my property and failed to manage my expectations I ve had to drop from 170k to 161 to achieve a sale Disappointing

Canterbury office team failure- of Rupert

The Canterbury office team of Rupert Bianca and Steve were simply just not up to par overall with a transaction that completed today This was an easy cash deal yet we found them not to be proactive and at times quite arrogant and not very knowledgeable on the property they listed Their lack of overall professionalism cost us extra time and solicitor fees to get this easy cash transaction done At a time when property sales are down you wouid of thought they would be more on top of things We finally moved our 86 year mother in law today at Abbots Lodge in Canterbury We were the buyers- my recommendation is if you are looking to list your property get another office to handle

A bit disappointed that I ve emailed twice for advice sale of house and have had no response Even if they told me they don t think they could help us better than being ignored Let down and disappointed angry that they can t even send a response Bit late in process of going elsewhere now
