Be cautious if you’re considering purchasing from them.
I recently had a disappointing experience with Ihavanas, and I feel compelled to share my thoughts in this Ihavanas review. After ordering a box of Quai cigars, I never received my package. I emailed them twice with no response, which left me questioning: is Ihavanas legit? Based on my experience, I’m seriously doubting it.
I also purchased a box of Jose Piedra Cazadores, and within just a week of storing them in my humidor (perfectly maintained at 70°F or just below), they started developing mold. When I reached out to Ihavanas, a representative named Bryan gave me a lecture on mold, telling me it’s everywhere and that I should just wipe it off and smoke the cigars. Absolutely unbelievable! If Ihavanas is legit, why are they shipping cigars that are prone to mold and offering such terrible customer service?
Another issue I faced was with a box of Upmann’s cigars I ordered. After resting them in my humidor for two weeks, I smoked four, but three were so tight I could barely draw from them, and they burned unevenly. I even gave one to a business prospect, and he had the same problem—how embarrassing! These aren’t handmade Cuban cigars; they are low-quality. Buyer beware!
To make matters worse, Ihavanas misleads customers about shipping. They claim to ship from Switzerland, but that’s false. It turns out they’re the same company as COH, just operating under a different name. My order took four weeks to arrive, and I had to pay duty fees.
I also bought 50 cigars (two boxes of 25), and when they arrived, they were covered in mold—green, greyish-blue, and white fuzzy mold. Ihavanas took forever to respond, and when they finally did, they wanted me to send pictures and return the moldy cigars before offering a replacement. What’s the point? They’d probably just wipe them down and resell them to another unsuspecting customer. I didn’t want to take any chances with mold, so I threw them away. Ihavanas doesn’t stand behind their products and doesn’t care about customer satisfaction.
