Exceptionally overpriced

It simply doesn t make sense to do your driving lessons this way when you consider the price I stupidly didn t check everything prior to booking which is my fault If you re a complete beginnner with no experience you pay rounded up figure of 1000 In 5 days you re essentially paying 200 a day for theory training and 4 5 hours of driving a day In 5 days you ve had about 20 hours of driving experience which for most people isn t enough You do most of the theory training by yourself which I could have done at home The trainer for me was patronising as if I couldn t understand very basic concepts I learnt almost the entirety of the theory on my own and I feel most people will Don t fall for the marketing around the theory lessons you get placed in front of a computer and are schedleued to do tests on a computer from the dark ages The trainer every so often goes through some slides which can be found anywhere online If you feel that this is worth 200 a day then I m baffled You can buy this app and get your parents or a friend to test you for about 10 if you purchase the app They of course like to throw around the free tests if you fail By this they mean if you re test ready by the Friday your test is now free and you re eligble for free further tests If you re not test ready by the Friday which after 20 or so hours you may or may not be you then have to pay for further tests It still doesn t even make sense even if you think you re going to be test ready by Friday or have had previous lessons because you re again paying 200 a day for 20 hours You can get block bookings of 20 hours for something in the range of 500 or less I feel with any instructor it s a hit or miss You either get on or don t For me my instructor struggled with English and seemed to be slightly bored I wish I had just not booked without fully reviewing what I was buying The fault is mine but it still doesn t make up for an exceptionally overpriced service I m not saying this is a deceptive company because everything is actually explained if you look A lot of people don t look and hope this makes people consider what they re buying Read the terms and conditions prior to buying and don t do what I did

I have just finished the 5 day course this week and I would not recommend it

I have just finished the 5 day course this week and Ultimately I wouldn t recommend using 5day I had already passed my theory but I was told I still had to sit through the theory training which was fine The two guys that were teaching the theory were very nice My instructor was friendly for about the first 2 days When it came around to the third day he had clearly decided that I was not going to pass a test by the end of the week and then became a lot less friendly and abrupt to the point of rude I could already drive before I took the course but I wanted a crash course in how to pass the test so it is disappointing that I have spent 1000 and not even got that out of it They give you a sheet for your instructor to fill out so that you can see your progress When you have 3 s in all the sections you should be able to take your test I was getting 3 s from the third day and still I was told not to take my test and then if I did I couldn t use my instructors car I spoke to Martyn at the end of the week and he offered me an assessment to see if I should take the test and see if the other instructor was wrong Which is nice if him and I do appreciate it however with me already being able to drive and passed my theory 20 hours with a driving instructor who bragged about how many of his students had passed should have been enough Overall the week was quite disappointing I wouldn t recommend taking this driving course as you will have to take pay for extra lessons afterwards Also if they advise you not to take your test your not untitled to the free lessons your only entitled to free corrective lessons if you take your test and fail

5DAY Marketing Ploy Not worth it

Chances of you fully knowing how to drive at the end of the 5 days are very unlikely Your paying 930 for only 20 hours of ACTUAL DRIVING on the course and 12 hours stuck in a class learning theory which isn t mentioned anyway before you pay 20 Hours of driving anywhere else costs around 600 700 The 5Day slogan is mostly marketing hype I had 8 hours experience before starting the course and on the last day I was told I would still need 10-12 hours before I can take my test Which I have to pay for out of my own pocket elsewhere So if your looking for the all in one package as they advertise then there are many other better driving schools for a better price out thereEDIT REPLY The time we spent on theory is 20 hours don t know where you got 8 hours from Here s exactly what the Course Itinerary says Monday - Thursday 0900 - 0945 Briefing 1000 - 1430 Drive 1500 - 1700 Theory Class FRIDAY 0900 - 0945 Briefing 1000 - 1430 Drive 1500 - 1700 Debrief and Theory retraining which isn t really retraining as the instructor is unmotivated to help you at this point if you haven t passed the theory test Bear in mind Briefing is actually just theory training and a waste of time Would be better to get straight on the road in the mornings at 0900 and use that extra hour

I ve recently just done the course at

I ve recently just done the course at the west London branch and it s fair to say for the amount of money you pay I personally wouldn t be recommending anyone Purely based on my driving instructor Minhur Rahman The First day he pushed me to my limits in regarding to roundabouts clutch control and to keep checking my mirrors But as the week went on I found he was doing the same even though I was doing everything right as he asked me to MSM Also during my time I found him sending me mixed messages Driving instructor At roundabouts always signal Me I was in a left hand lane approaching a round about with traffic behind me so I signalled left I make my turn then he asks me to pull over Driving instructor why did you signal to turn left you didn t need to The only good that came from this course I must say is mark the classroom teacher he helped me touch up on my knowledge about the road signs and theory questions but again for the amount of money you pay you can just learn that at home Personally I feel that it s an overpriced course and I m sure there s others out there easier and better Hope this helps young learner choosing the course and if your instructor is a c t let the classroom teacher know ASAP Not like me

Make sure you know the extra cost before you sign up

My son took the course in July he enjoyed the week and got on with his driving instructor so far so good With Covid it was difficult to get a test so my son had to wait until the end of October for a test which is a long time to wait having had his course in July I asked what strategies they had in place to help the students as they had no lessons until the test they assured me they had put in place strategies for this which turned out to be a one hour lesson weeks before his test I was also advised to pay for private lesson which having spent over a 1000 00 for a course which I had to save up for as a single mum I do not have the funds to keep paying for lessons I get you have to pay for both the theory and practical test but when my son failed the unlimited lessons again is just one correction lesson then they need 62 00 for another test I am fine with that They also want 30 00 for the test to be fast tracked and 60 00 for the use of the car these are not expenses you expect when you book on the course Make sure you fully understand what you are paying for before you book the course as now I am having to save again to afford the fast track and car

Think before you waste your money

I don t wish to ramble on but please do take note of the other feedback left by people having had a bad experience or feel it was a waste of moneyDefinitely do NOT use this service if you have already passed your theory as a lot of the allocated time is put into learning and passing the theoryFACT - There lessons work out to be double the cost of the average instructorDon t be mislead by the very clever marketing caption of Free unlimited lessons until you pass My son failed and we discovered it only entitles you to one free hour - This statement made me go with this company - how silly i wasIf you have not had any previous lessons to the point of being confident with setting off and have the basics of driving in traffic then i would NOT recommend trying to do it after just 12 hours of driving as that s what you get on the 900 5 day courseI am not saying they are a bad company - but it is a lot of money to gamble with and be back to square one after 5 days and almost 1000 out of pocket

Overpriced waste of time

5 day is not quite accurate to begin with Students do not drive for 5 full days and the course syllabus isn t advertised clearly on the website They may have good teachers but you will also find a private instructor sooner Driving is for 4 hours a day in the morning totalling 20 hours for the week and afternoons are spent in a classroom working on your own learning the theory questions You re literally paying to sit alone doing what you could do at home That works out at 55 per hour of lessons Such is the backlog due to the pandemic there was a 5 month wait to get on the course I was ready to take my test after the week of driving but there is also a wait for tests during which refresher lessons are needed 5Day book last minute tests from cancelations on the DVLA website the same as you could do yourself so it s not guaranteed how long you will be waiting I would advise to do the same privately book a test yourself and find an instructor from recommendations DVLA tests can be moved or cancelled if you re not ready yet but if you book by the time you re ready you ll be waiting another few months

Quite shocked that I paid over 1100

Quite shocked that I paid over 1100 and when son failed test they want 147 to rebook Probably would go normal lessons if I had my time again

Look out

Was having a great week until Thursday when the evening before I had told a pupil that if he doesnt like his instructor to say and to get a different one We come in the next day and the course instructor lies about a miscommunication between me and my instructor saying something about my testicles it was disgusting and knocked me back heavily and I was then put with the instructor that the boy didnt like upon asking my first instructor she had said nothing 5day is trying to claim it was miscommunication but how do you miscommunicate something if someone hasnt even spoken to you as my instructor says she didnt say anything to the course leader Just watch out Question anything political and stand your ground lost out on my last two days and they dont care
