I made minor changes to car insurance

I made minor changes to car insurance which was a fraught experience Lack of process instructions and no confirmation unless it s chargeable So the idea is great if you only want to make one simple change and are very patient And can be bothered to keep looking to see if the changes have been acknowledged It was a pretty fraught 40 minutes Then I ended up having to pay anyway Then the review software would not register so I have logged onto Trustpilot anyway

terrible aksed for copies of bills and my travel in last few months why my electric bill was higher one month sent copies of mentoned and woman could not understand them so took longer as someone else did and was fine maybe better training to be done taken 3 months to get a payout and excess took over half of it

AWFUL Ageas When my bungalow suffered subsidence

When my bungalow suffered subsidence from Neighbours LLANYI massive trees Ageas DIDN T approach the neighbours insurance for the cost they wanted me to pay the excess of 1k and when I requested they reclaim the 1k back from my neighbour they refused I ALSO have home Protection Plus and Ageas ARE responsible for the company they choose to furnish HP But again we were WITHOUT hot water for 6 weeks in Dec through to Jan 23 A ring specified with value was lost NYE WELL INSURED OUTSIDE the 10k THEY REFUSED to meet the claim So ask yourself are they a Insurance company you d want to insure your contents buildings

Unable to speak with anybody due to admin charges very poor Ageas have replied to my review even more annoying said it s for a change to my policy untrue unable to speak with anybody at the time going on holiday needed to get it done asap Waiting now their reply after sending an emailSharp practise here

Claims Dept Excellent New Car insurance Rubbish

I am not a policy holder but I had a wonderful experience with the Claims department as one of their policy holders wrecked my car - Ageas paid out and arranged salvage extremely quickly So from this experience I decided to ask for a car insurance quote from Ageas for my new replacement car They are unable to give me one because of the recent motor claim where I was the innocent party I find this really difficult to understand they don t want my business

Very disappointed with the renewal

Very disappointed with the renewal price increase despite not making a claim Last year they were one of the cheapest using comparison sites This year they re now one of the dearest when comparing my renewal price to comparison site quotes After doing price comparisons I was Confused pun intended as to why Ageas wasn t showing - rang to ask them and they said its because we were already insured with them Pretty underhand in my opinion and locked us out of any price comparison site offers which may have mitigated the 58 price increase over last year Seems to me to be a way round anti price-walking regulations by making sure existing customers effectively pay more than new ones At least I got to speak to someone fairly promptly who was pleasant to deal with

Disappointed

Disappointed to see my monthly cost increased by 20 after a car change although my new car has the same insurance group and engine size than the former one I even reduced my estimated yearly mileage as I work from home more often I m very curious to hear what element has made a higher cost except the fact that they know we don t have any other choice to accept the cost increase when we change our car in the middle of a policy

Unable to locate 2023 Car of the Year on their system

I m thinking of getting an EV an MG4 The Ageas agent wasn t able to complete the process as they said the vehicle wasn t listed on the system A few minutes earlier I d received several quotes from a popular online market comparison site This sounds like a data issue to me as the MG4 voted U K Car of the Year 2023 isn t in the least bit exotic or unusual

Easy to log accident but

Easy to log accident and car was fixed within 5 days which was impressive Went downhill from there 3rd party admitted fault from beginning so I asked for my 200 excess to be returned Had to follow claim back and forth between Ageas and 3rd party Due to error on Ageas side paperwork wasn t sent through to 3rd party so delayed claim To be fair to Ageas 3rd party has been slow too but there have been no comms from Ageas with updates Has been a frustrating exercise Accident happened in Aug Still awaiting excess repayment A wider issue with the insurance game - due to another driver s poor driving and hitting me my insurance premium has gone up by 100 How is this right
