Completely Incompetent Company
We ship a lot of loads Desperately trying to find a good company Used this company twice and still not sure who to call to book a load We ve gotten a new person every time and they re surprised we re even calling them They act like they don t want the business We have full truckloads we need to ship ASAP and they tell us they ll call us back in 10 minutes to book and won t even return our calls We ve had to leave them messages to pay for previous shipments and they won t call us back Completely incompetent in the shipping industry Only wish I read their reviews before trying to work with them Good luck with this company Never again Unbelievable

Stay Away
Used them multiple times They are never on time delayed 2 weeks and randomly hold your load hostage asking for upfront payment They also tend to invoice your customer directly and incorrectly without you knowing Expect to run damage control frequently with them One pallet was off by 800lbs extra charge was over 500 USD once they picked it up and they refused to deliver until that was paid You will always talk to a different person there and they will never help you

Driver who was sent and made the load on time was suspended from duties because he did not answer the phone because he was driving a truck at that moment In this situation the whole company was punished so it was deprived of access to bid board In my opinion people who work for Arcbest have a serious problem with people who speak in other languages In this situation if you have such a problem do not hesitate to report these complaints to EEOC gov

NOT RELIABLE AND AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE
We booked a shipment with ABF for 2 days transit and it is now 10 days later and the freight hasn t moved from the original processing center it was taken to after p u When we called to get an answer from them about what was going on they were extremely rude and just said they don t have any answers for us and it will get there when it gets there NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE IF YOU ACTUALLY NEED YOUR FRIEGHT DELIVERED IN A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME or IF YOU WANT ANY KIND OF GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE TERRIBLE COMPANY IN MY EXPERIENCE

Hiding from dangerous trucks and damage they cause
January 2 2024 when driving near mile marker 212 on southbound Interstate 75 in Georgia a dual trailer had a trailer dolly brake failure The failure was to the left side of the driver side dolly The ABF trailer had a number 553872 The failure ejected brake debris from the wheel of the dolly This debris did damage to my newer 2023 KIA Sportage The ABF truck did not stop and may have been unaware of the damage The tractor had a cab of 13376 My wife photographed the burn marks on the trailer wheel and the trailer number The incident took place just prior to 2 32 pm The incident involved heavy smoking from the dolly wheel ejection of debris and then no smoking The dolly in question most likely had a catastrophic driver side brake failure Photos are geo-tagged The company has refused to pay or accept responsibility Further they have refused to share information about the dolly inspection both prior to the incident and after Either the company knows the dolly brakes were damaged and is hiding their responsibility for the damage or they do not know of the damage and kept dangerous equipment on the road This leads me to the conclusion that the company is either unsafe or unethical or both The reply says to contact safety I did this already in January and they just give you the run around They will not own up to the damage they do They are like children running away from their bad deeds

Where has customer service gone
This was our company s first time working directly with this carrier We arranged for freight about 2 weeks ago got a good quote booked the load had the product delivered only to find an added charge was applied to the invoice - 35 LAD was added It is not unusual for added charges but this particular one needed some explanation So I called several numbers got bounced around to various departments but finally got transferred to the area depot for the delivery site After a brief discussion the rep could not determine why it was on there and told me she would remove the charge However someone must have over-ruled her because the next day the invoice was never updated to reflect the removal of the charge So I began a 5 day phone email exchange to figure out what the charge was for Not one time did anyone tell me specifically why the LAD charge was applied I asked on 3 occasions to provide me specific reasons I was not fighting the charge if it was legit I absolutely was more than willing to pay what was owed I just wanted to know what I was being charged for After getting some basic information from their policies page which was provided to me as a snippy reply to my inquiry I was able to determine for myself the reason for the charge Apparently they have a list of locations that are automatically categorized as LAD Limited Access Delivery sites The location we shipped to was one of those on the list I gave them a lot of time to share with me the specifics of the charge I gave them chance after chance to do so All I wanted was for them to explain the charge but not one person ever did Sure they re-iterated what I already knew that the site was LAD But no one ever said it s because the site was on the list to be automatically classified as an LAD No one ever told me that and they knew that on day one I had to dig and investigate on my own All of this wasted time could have easily been avoided and a better taste would be left in my mouth for this company if they would have just done some very basic 101 investigating and communicating I spent way too much time trying to decipher the reason for the charge when someone could have told me on the very first day It is very frustrating and disappointing to work with a company that is not very customer service oriented If I am wrong about that and this is an isolated circumstance then perhaps they should do a better job training their personnel so it doesn t happen again Will I use them again That depends on pricing as it always does There is a lot of competition in the logistics industry I am prepared to give them another shot down the line in the hopes this was a one-off But it is important that they hear consumer concerns so that they can make constructive changes

3 7 24 I am in business over 32 years Have used many freight carriers to deliver to my customers which are major food distribution distributors that engage a logistics company to roll pallets of the delivery truck They use a lumper service that I have been historically charged 55 00 per pallet I used ARCB for two shipments this past January and again in February Both shipments I was over charged for lumper services at customers receiving dock I have receipts from the lumper service provider that show ARCB paid 55 00 but ARCB invoiced me for 97 20 on the first shipment and 162 00 for the second shipment I spoke with customer service and was told that I was billed appropriately under the tariff When I looked at the tariff on their website it allows for up to 130 which would make the lumper fee 71 50 Customer service told me I was under a different tariff but I have never received a copy of any tariff I will be giving my freight to other carriers until this situation is corrected Proceed at your own risk if you use this carrier Update as of 3 13 24 In accordance with ARCB s request from seeing my review I submitted all supporting documents on 3 7 24 for the overcharged lumper fees including the receipts from the lumper I have had no further response from ARCB Again I repeat proceed at your own risk if you use this carrier

Do NOT TRUST They will send you a delivery date and then NOT SHOW They will tell you it was an esitimated time then GET AN ATTITUDE WITH YOU LIKE THEY ARE DOING YOU A FAVOR Horrible customer service
