SS DOB in order to verify landlord account

11 13 2023 I called the avail co customer service phone number and got a live person I explained that I didn t want to verify the listing using SS DOB because of risk for identity theft but also because they re not collecting rent for us and sending tax forms at the end of the year So they showed us a workaround and got it listed 11 8 2023 We have 1 property listed for rent in Texas last year and found a nice tenant for a year I used other resources for rental contract tenant screening and rent collection Now we wanted to just list again and avail co is asking for SS DOB in order to verify landlord account Sounds like a scam to steal identity to me

Frequently Asked Questions

Avail is a foundational project building critical modular infrastructure for the Web3 ecosystem. Its primary mission is to unify and scale Web3 by addressing core challenges like data availability, interoperability, and scalable execution through a suite of interconnected solutions.

'The Avail Trinity' refers to Avail's three-layer modular tech stack. It consists of: 1) Avail DA, a scalable data availability network; 2) Avail Nexus, a cross-chain coordination and unification layer; and 3) Avail Fusion, a layer providing crypto-economic shared security by pooling assets from networks like Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Avail DA solves the critical data availability problem for scaling solutions like rollups. It provides a high-throughput, secure base layer that ensures transaction data is published and accessible, allowing blockchains to scale without compromising on security or decentralization.

Avail Nexus acts as a neutral, proof-based cross-chain coordination hub built on Avail DA. It connects different rollups and blockchains, facilitating seamless cross-chain messaging and state verification. This aims to reduce the fragmentation in the current multi-chain ecosystem by enabling different chains to communicate and interact trustlessly.

Avail Fusion Security is a layer that enables a shared security model for the ecosystem. It allows the pooling of economic security from multiple established crypto assets (such as Bitcoin and Ethereum). This pooled security enhances the overall safety and cryptoeconomic robustness of the Avail network and the chains built upon it.

About Avail

Avail: Unifying Web3 with Modular Infrastructure

Avail.co is the official online presence of Avail, a foundational project building critical infrastructure for a unified and scalable Web3 ecosystem. At its core, Avail addresses some of the most pressing challenges in blockchain technology—data availability, interoperability, and scalable execution—through a suite of modular solutions. The website serves as a comprehensive hub for developers, researchers, and blockchain enthusiasts to understand Avail's vision, explore its technology stack, and access the tools needed to build the next generation of decentralized applications.

The Avail Trinity: A Modular Tech Stack

Avail's approach is structured around three interconnected layers, often referred to as "The Avail Trinity," each designed to solve a specific bottleneck:

  • Avail DA (Data Availability):This is the base layer, a robust and scalable data availability network. It ensures that transaction data is published and accessible, which is a fundamental security requirement for rollups and other scaling solutions. By providing a high-throughput, secure DA layer, Avail enables blockchains to scale without compromising on security or decentralization.
  • Avail Nexus:Positioned as a cross-chain coordination hub, Nexus is a unification layer built on top of Avail DA. It functions as a neutral, proof-based verification layer that connects different rollups and blockchains (rollup, sovereign, or monolithic), facilitating seamless cross-chain messaging and interoperability. This aims to end the fragmentation currently seen in the multi-chain world.
  • Avail Fusion:This layer focuses on securing the ecosystem through crypto-economic means. Fusion Security allows for the pooling of economic security from multiple established crypto assets (like Bitcoin and Ethereum), creating a shared security model that enhances the safety of the entire Avail network and the chains built upon it.

Key Features and Developer Focus

The website emphasizes Avail's developer-centric philosophy. It provides extensive technical documentation, tutorials, and resources to onboard builders. Key features highlighted include:

  • Ethereum Compatibility:Avail is designed to work seamlessly with the Ethereum ecosystem, offering a familiar environment for developers while providing superior scalability.
  • Support for Sovereign Rollups and Rollups:Avail empowers communities to launch their own scalable, application-specific blockchains (sovereign rollups) while also providing an optimal environment for traditional rollups.
  • Light Client Efficiency:Avail's technology enables extremely efficient light clients, which allow users to verify chain state with minimal resource requirements, promoting greater decentralization and accessibility.

Resources and Community

Avail.co is structured to guide visitors from conceptual understanding to active participation. The site features a detailed blog with technical deep dives and announcements, an active roadmap tracking development progress, and clear pathways to join the testnet. It strongly encourages community engagement, providing direct links to its official channels on Discord, Twitter, and GitHub, where developers can contribute, discuss, and get support.

In summary, Avail.co presents the project as more than just a single blockchain; it is a comprehensive framework aiming to solve the modular blockchain trilemma of scalability, interoperability, and security. By providing essential primitives for data availability, cross-chain communication, and shared security, Avail positions itself as critical infrastructure intended to weave together the fragmented tapestry of Web3 into a cohesive, user-friendly, and powerful unified ecosystem.
