They do not help they are meant to be

They do not help they are meant to be partners of starnow yet they do not assist at all and pass the buck onto star now if they are both a one company now I expect them both to take responsibility and accountability to their lack of costumer service and login issues I emailed back stage months ago about why they will charge 15 to post a casting They do not respond in the appropriate manner and say go speak to star now which I never get any form of response from Simply both two companies who do not care about their customers and only after making a quick buck If this login issue and query is not resolved by today I am taking matters into my own hands and demanding a full refund as this is twice this happened from backstage and star now

Backstage is bad Not Recommended

This site is outdated and the staff doesn t know anything or care to do anything Me and 4 other people signed up and did casting calls and what we got were people who weren t legit They will let anyone post anything up there So unprofessional People with no acting experience or anything and expecting to get paid for their first time Backstage doesn t do anything about the people who post unprofessional resumes on there I heard they ban casting directors because other actors and actresses complain because they don t get picked Then backstage bans them How logical is that This site is bad I would not recommend it to anyone

They think they can cancel you from the cyberspace forever

I got my account banned from starnow for no reason Since backstage bought Mandy and Starnow I also got my Mandy account removed as well as my actor subscription permanmently My first hand experience fully justifies why everyone hate them with such a low rating in trustpilot

If a customer wants to cancel a service

If a customer wants to cancel a service it does not mean that that lack agency not does it mean that the company should berate the individual It means that I lack a desire to continue with your service I quit my acting aspirations after my experience with this company tried it regret it staying out where I am I wish them well but no more

Scam

Signed up for a free account and they charged me anyway and said there was nothing they can do I had a look at the website to see what it is they actually do and the answer is NOT A LOT Just a website full of training and jobs but I think it s just someone writing fake random jobs into their already pointless website DON T waste your time or money

Backstage Avoid like the plague

This mega American company is just dire They took over Mandy com which used to be Casting Call Pro and have since been upgrading that site It s taking forever and the service is very much less than adequate Features that were useful for actors have been removed in order to make way for whizz bang wonderful all singing all dancing features which actors have - according to Backstage - been asking for Absolute rubbish Mandy went downhill rapidly once Backstage took it over and it s getting worse by the day If you want a decent online casting site - avoid Actually the date of experience has been around 6-12 months but there s no facility to put that expanse of time on the date of experience space

Absolute waste of time I m an actor and got no gigs via backstage for the last 2 years applied maybe to 200 calls most of them is fake They also SPAM you with e-mail and useless articles instead of improving their website and making sure they select serious providers

Register is a nightmare Website ID refused all the time or credit cards Doesn t work most of the time need to complain to register or if you don t they chase you to get your money THE PAGES GETS BLOCKS OR ACCESS all the time onceyou re on it and loose all your researches you have to pay before during after but you re not sure for what and how much they will charge and when they take money They OVER CONTROL your post your messages CENSORSHIP no privacy Trying to do a love scene is suspicious and considered pervert or porn as they refuse nudity or love scene with sex makes things very complicated for nothing They check 10 Times your ID but never your details in the industry to know who you re better be a scammer than a true director for years No efficient responses unless you complain only automatic messages most of time they don t even read except when you respond same way few times They control your descriptions totally Woke website not mentioning all the fakes accounts their policy is weird They try to protect themselves from everything in the same time they don t think much or read really the contents all is done so you pay for more at the end but its very confusing nothing is simple or clear pages come and go prices are different Many aren t actors at all and there a lot of weird people Really disliked the experience i was told it was like that but didnt want to believe it much more easy to find real actors else where and for Free
