I really appreciate the work that Bench does that I don t have to do as a start-up corporation I wish the statements would turn around a little faster and that they would check with me more on expenses they have questions about

Decent but has room to grow
I m overall pretty happy with Bench but in general I d like to see more of a process with things Coming from a traditional accountant who didn t really do things the right way I find myself struggling to have Bench be proactive on advice like quarterly payments and setting myself up for success in my internal accounting and deduction practices There seem to be a number of people handling my account and I m not quite sure who to go with for what which makes me a little uneasy for 2023 planning

The Bench team was attentive and fast
The Bench team was really great at onboarding me making themselves available to my needs and working with me on scheduling and pricing The process went so quickly the bookkeepers were very speedy The only thing is that I haven t been very good at bookkeeping because I have a very limited understanding in this area I would have appreciated a bit more handholding and support in terms of my own comprehension to truly understand the benefits of this work I understand that this is not the job of a bookkeeper so perhaps a more educational component can be added into Bench services Ultimately I m very happy and grateful for the work

Great bookkeeper but not for tax prep
I ve enjoyed working with my bookkeeper and highly recommend this service I think their tax prep services still need some work and I don t recommend this service from them so I docked a star

A great option for small to medium sized businesses
Bench has been a great bookkeeping service for our small medium sized business At our size it doesn t make sense to have a full time or even parttime bookkeeper Bench is a great trade off as we get a reliable service and advice for a fraction of the cost The year-end financial package Bench provides has been adequate for our accountant to have everything he needs at years end My only gripe is that we ve gone through several bookkeepers in the time we ve had Bench so once we get comfortable with someone they leave In all fairness though all have been competent and responsive In terms of a recent experience we purchased some new depreciable assets and Bench reached out for documentation so they can properly categorize and track these expenditures The upload process for documents using their system is easy and their messaging platform is efficient

The product is good a does what it says it does They built a real nice UI with a good messaging system but for some reason the onboarding requires phone calls I wish I could have set everything up without having to do several repetitive meetings
