Dr Joanna Woodger was extremely helpful She helped me recognise symptoms and asked questions in a calming way gave me the opportunity to talk even when it was too much or extra information not needed for the assessment She was very kind to me I felt secure and safe to talk to her

Professional and accommodating service

Dr Hearfield was fantastic She was very professional clear and accommodating I was very nervous but she made me feel more at ease about the appointment very quickly The whole experience with Berkeley Psychiatry was very good Everything was easy to use and they were very prompt with answering any questions leading up to the appointment I definitely recommend Berkeley Psychiatry and Dr Hearfield

Guided through the process well so I felt completely comfortable The internet connection was dodgy in parts but this didn t take away from the depth the assor went into I felt very seen and when asking for clarity this was given

I had my ADHD diagnosis with Dr Chris Kalafatis Berkeley Psychiatrists My assessment was very thorough and Chris was very warm and put me as ease He also assured me that some of the difficulties I had in my life were very typical of someone with ADHD After my diagnosis I had my report through quickly and started medication titration Chris took my medical history to ensure the medication was safe for me to take and during titration we had regular reviews to monitor blood pressure weight and heart rate as well as my well-being Chris was very reassuring through the process and once my body had adjusted to medication and I was benefiting from the effects of the medication by being able to concentrate better in my working life and generally feeling calmer in myself I was then put forward for shared care The whole process was very smooth and I felt I was in very safe handsThank you Chris

Life changing

Dr Simon Hill immediately put me at ease had a warm and friendly manner and was genuinely interested in my thoughts and experiences I went through an ASD assessment which was very thorough yet at no point did it feel like an interrogation Simon s style is very natural and conversational and that truly helped ASD presents very differently in Women and Simon was great at addressing this allaying those Impostor Syndrome nerves I was stunned to receive my report through the same day Overall a fantastic experience Thank you

2 weeks from appointment to diagnosis and medication

I had my ADHD assessment with Dr Hollie Hearfield after a lot of waiting and being messed around on the NHS My mental health was really taking its toll on me so after doing a bit of research and checking that my GP would take over shared care from Berkeley I chose Hollie due to her experience and interest in females with ADHD I was very nervous beforehand but she has such a lovely and natural approach - I soon relaxed It felt very cathartic getting it all off my chest and finally getting my ADHD diagnosis

Having struggled to get an ADHD assessment through the NHS and BUPA I decided to book a private one through Berkeley Psychiatrists I can honestly say it s one of the best decisions I ve ever made Dr Hollie Hearfield made me feel totally at ease listened to what I had had to say and was very empathetic She made me feel understood and seen which was invaluable during this process I ve now started on ADHD medication and am already seeing improvements in my ability to focus and get things done Would highly recommend Berkeley Psychiatrists to anyone looking for a private assessment
