Terrible company avoid at all costs
The company is a SCAM Paid upfront while on the phone with them When the driver arrived he said that the money I had transferred hadn t gone through and that I had to pay again I showed him the transaction receipt from my bank and he still refused to drive me until I paid again My bank confirms that the transaction was successful FYI Got into the car after the driver refused to help me with anything and the car smelled AWFUL as well as the driver The driver also mentioned that I would receive the refund later and that if I had any queries or if the refund wasn t completed before the 05 09 23 I should call their company number and ask for it to be done I have just called the company and not surprisingly they refused any refund and say that they have never received the money from my first payment - they say to just send an email - as if I don t know that it will just be ignored The advisor was also rude never asked for any details refused to listen and interrupted me all the time I wish I had read the reviews Please do NOT use this company Horrible experience and will never do it again

They are the worse company ever they get my money up front for pick me up and the driver never came they said my fly was delayed and the driver came and went back wich is not true because they can see when a fly is delayed They just take our money up front and don t show up be careful people pls

Awful service - stuck two hours
Awful service - stuck waiting two hours Was quoted a 55-60 minutes wait for a taxi from Heathrow to Cambridge 60 minutes later the driver is still an hour away Could not cancel the ride either Last time using this company

30mins late
I booked a taxi with Cam Cabs this morning for 8am from Coton to Cambridge station for a 9 12am train to Stansted I received a text at 7 50 to say the taxi was on its way from a location 25kms away I then had a call from Cam Cabs at 8 10 to say the taxi would be another 10mins however I was assured the taxi would get me to the station on time My taxi arrived at 8 30 and the traffic was bad so no way would I have got to the station on time I then had to rebook the taxi to take me to Stansted at a cost of 64 00 Eventually after several phone calls the cost was reduced to 51 00 to allow for the taxi ride previously booked however no allowance was made for the cost of my unused train ticket or inconvenience caused A very unhelpful man told me that it was rush hour what did I expect and that is why the taxi was 30mins late I was basically told it was my fault even though if the taxi was on time I would have got to the station to catch my train The taxi driver was not to blame and was very apologetic - he blamed the taxi company for giving him the earlier job which was 25kms away knowing that he would not be able to collect me at the arranged time of 8am Apparently they do this with their drivers all the time so be warned do not rely on Cam Cabs to turn up on time if you are running to a tight schedule Will not be using them again

Terrible Phoned for taxi at 1610 told it would be with us at 1700Not arrived by 1710 so called again told it would be another 30 mins phoned again phoned again after 30 mins told 10 minutes Finally arrived at 1815 we had missed our planned meal in town before our show at 1930 Still waiting for a full explanation to my complaint WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER USED

Get an uber next time
Prebooked an airport pick up giving both the flight number and a later time 1 hour so there is time to use the restroom get a snack etc The taxi was still in the Cambridge area after the flight had landed and the taxi driver called at the pick up time to say he still needed another 1 5 hours due to traffic Phone operators very unhelpful insisting it was my mistake I gave 2 different times and also saying the taxi would not be late contradicting their own driver

Useless Driver
Driver went all over cambridge before actually arriving Then He Took many wrongs turnings which my mother told him he was going the wrong way which he didn t listen too My mother is not a Young woman and Was Drunk out of her skull and then had to walk half the journey where she fell over She could have been concussed Don t bother Uber would have been easier

Made us pay an extra 5 pound and told us we cannot leave because apparently we told him to go to a different place when he was right there and drove away and when we told him that he drove away from us he kept hanging up the phone and ignoring us He was very rude when he interacted with us in the car by saying he was waiting while we where getting into the car we are not from cambridge and are 15 he also kept asking very personal questions towards us do NOT recommend

Extremely Disappointing Service and Poor Communication
I recently had an incredibly frustrating experience with CamCab I booked a taxi for 3 September at 3 30 pm from Stansted Airport to 103 Ellis Road However the entire process was a disaster due to inconsistent and confusing communication from their customer service team Initially I was informed that the vehicle I booked would not accommodate my party and that I needed to book a more expensive minibus Based on this advice I agreed to cancel the booking Later that evening I was informed by another advisor that the original vehicle was indeed suitable and that my booking would remain active Despite this assurance I received a message confirming that my booking had been cancelled When I called the following morning I was told that a complaint would be raised regarding the conflicting information and the cancellation but instead I received an email simply asking for the last four digits of my card for a refund information that had already been provided during my first call The lack of coordination and professionalism was astounding In the end my booking was cancelled against my wishes and I was left feeling extremely disappointed and frustrated The total waste of time and the poor service I received has led me to decide never to use CamCab again I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking reliable and consistent service
