Whoever served me on December 24th I would say I am sorry but I am not must be fired unless you want your company to go through tuff times EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL TREATING CUSTOMERS LIKE ANIMALS Not only did I not get my car I was told I had to pay for extra insurance and to leave twice as much deposit when it was not specified at the booking This individual was happy to shout disrespect and also happy to be the most racist asking questions which are absolutely irrelevant to his job Highly disappointed but what they say is true if its cheap as yourself why

I suggest you beware of this company as they are very cunning They confirmed via email that in my profile a Telepass has been flagged as active since a rental in 2019 which has resulted in me receiving fines and notices from Centauro Despite my repeated attempts to contact them via email I have not received any response This situation has forced me to involve a lawyer I urge anyone experiencing the same issue to contact me

Thank you for your positive response even though it was significantly delayed which has been quite frustrating for me It was truly problematic for us to be at the airport and be informed that you would not deliver the car as agreed upon to a customer who has been a loyal renter with your company for over 5 years Despite having a binding contract We had reserved a Class B car but were given a Class A instead The car you canceled the booking for which was reserved for the correct time period and I assume was waiting for us you refused to rent to us at the agreed-upon price which I find highly unusual As I mentioned before you offered us a much higher-class and significantly more expensive car which we declined That car would have cost nearly 400 Euros almost double our original reservation You broke a contract without any notice and this is entirely unreasonable We waited for you to contact us within 48 hours as promised by your office at Alicante airport After approximately 50 hours we contacted you and were unable to speak to a manager Additionally I sent an email to your customer center in an attempt to find a solution for the remaining days but received no response You completely ignored us until yesterday February 27th Since we couldn t book a car with you to cover the remaining days we had to book with another operator This resulted in an additional cost of 105 69 Euros Furthermore the car my wife booked which cost 236 Euros brought our total bill to 342 Euros compared to the original 232 Euros Overall we incurred an extra expense of 110 Euros solely due to your mistakes lack of follow-up within 48 hours and the cancellation of our contract If you wish to compensate us you should do so with the full amount You can achieve this by either depositing the amount or creating a voucher coupon for 110 Euros for our next booking it s entirely up to you This coupon can be used regardless of any other offers you may have I look forward to a prompt acceptance from you so that we can continue our good relationship

I have rented a car in Alicante Airport I was been told about 500 euro deposit prior to my travel through call and emails which is fine When I arrived on Airport they asked me you must have to do extra insurence for the car and must have to pay them for fuel which was charged double compaired to fuel price So basiclly when you purchase the price you see online 22 per day its actually 30 40 per day consider you have been scammed

1 When booking on the phone they refused to take payment which is strange for a car hire online bookings take payment at time of booking not at pick up So I should have noticed something was wrong 2 At pick up we waited for OVER 1HOUR for the shuttle to come They had promised 20 mins and kept telling us it will be 20 mns when we kept calling 3 To pay i offered my choice of debit card for the payment of the agreed amount and a CREDIT card the guarantee as usual They refused to take first my debit card for payment AND started saying that my CREDIT card was unacceptable it was a regular mastercard but when I said I will leave they accepted it as a favour They claimed that it was the Headoffice in Spain which disallowed the payment with a debit card and guarantee with a credit card I remarked that if i had paid online as initially intended there would have been no issue with which way I made payment No logic prevailed and I should have left but wanted to get on with my life so I took the hit of an unfavourable FX exchange rate 4 At drop off a very rude operator was there who showed determined to find some sort of fault with us He couldn t so he then went to inspect the car which was at ZERO EXCESS precisely to be safe against this known attitude in certain countries This was annoying to him so then looked inside which was overall clean but there was the mark of some sand on the floor as is normal He started saying he would charge a cleaning fee It was so absurd that in front of other customers he had to back down They operate a gang-style set up Is it just clever people at this particular location Or does the top-down management from Spain know this and encourages it

THE WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY BY FAR
Avoid Centauro car rentals at all costs They are complete scammers Look for another local rental company instead Our experience with them was the worst it could have been in Madeira we were given a faulty car which broke down after 25 min drive and then asked to pay for damages The customer service is dreadful and unhelpful only focused on getting payment This is by far the WORST car rental company we ve encountered in all our travels Don t be fooled by their fraudulent setup stay away The worse car rental company

Terrible experience - left stranded
We hired a car in Milan for collection at 11pm We waited from 10 15 for the shuttle as instructed The shuttle bus never arrived even after multiple calls we were then told by their head office they couldn t contact the location we had hired from and therefore there was no car for us We were left stranded at Milan airport in the middle of the night and are now out of pocket for 500 euros as we had to hire a car last minute from another provider Centauro have now ignored all contact and we have been forced to take them to small claims court

Impossible to get a response from their help centre and don t pay on line you may be charged twice
I ve been using this company for over 12 years in Spain and Portugal and always had a positive experience however the last time I booked I paid when I booked but was charged again when I collected the car I raised a query through their help centre spoke to a person once and sent screen shots of the charges against my credit card since then nothing no auto replies to emails call centre cuts you off after numerous minutes very disappointing and still no refund 7 weeks on I also didn t get my gold points awarded for my last 2 hires but they ignored that too Very frustrating No option but to seek recovery from credit card company My advice - don t pay on line secure the booking and pay at the desk yes it s 10 more but better than losing 225 There are really bad reviews from the last 6 months on here something must have gone wrong at Centauro as I say I ve rented hassle free last 12 years and never before an issue seems like it s time to take my business elsewhere

DO NOT TRUST THEM We booked a small car to Iraklion Crete They had only a big car which means plus money for us as you need more gas Althought we paid for Full Coverage they asked plus 250 euros for Roadside Assistance Althought we paid for Full Coverage throught Discovercars com they asked an extra amount for coverage for their company Fuel policy was full to full althought they asked 150 euros plus for guarantee We didn t agreed and we had to take a taxi for 90 euros we were strangers in the island and it was night to arrive at our destination to another city Rethymno Please note that Refundable Security Deposit was supposed to be 1100 00 EUR at our card

I have never been treated like this in my life The lady running from the moment I came in tried everything she could to not honor the booking with Expedia months ago but she was willing to book separately at trip the rate Complete crooks Be ware this company will take your booking and when you get off a 14 hour flight they will claim bogus issues and increase your rate Will yell scream at you Complete terrorist of a lady and who ever is the owner or manger of the Centauro in Athens needs to be ashmashed to have such a person My name is Herman Abram please look me up and call we had to cxl go back to airport and rent from Alamo DO NOT EVER BOOK HERE I promise you will avoid complete and utter drama and avoid being assaulted
