We rented from the Barcelona airport We had to take a shuttle bus to the rental place and it was super hard to find No signs anywhere took over an hour just to find the shuttle No issues with picking up or with the vehicle but it s been 12 days since we dropped it off and they are still holding 2300 on my account I got the fuel deposit back and they did not return the full amount despite us returning it with a full tank Very frustrating And when you call the number it s impossible to get through to anyone

Centauro did not refund correctly
Upon booking there was a payment held from our visa card Upon return everything was perfect and I was promised a full refund When getting the money back they witheld 88 for an insurance I did not take I had an external insurance instead I have the papers to proof it 3 weeks already and waiting no replies from customer service Bookingnumber is ER23183011 Update We did give a deposit and you did not deposit it back fully You deducted an insurance we did NOT take

Disappointed by the car
The car I booked was not the car I got although it was in the same group But Kia Ceed what I got and Hyundai Tuscon what I booked should never be put in the same group from the start so in my opinion the Centauro s car grouping policy is a scam

Can not get fuel money back beware
Was given a new mazda car very nice started the car fault on the display told the office they said sorry and give me another car a fiat with damage all over and inside listed on the paperworkThe car drove good Returned to airport they checked and said all good returned deposit and said fuel was full Still have not returned fuel refund and dont answer emails so I am 124 euros out of pocket Dont use them After the reply sent by CENTAURO I tried to contact with email adding reply link still no direct contact from them

Can you explain why there is only option to purchase Smart Cover and not basic cover on your website or app I ve hired cars for over ten years from you Unfortunately car hire has become too expensive nowAnd yes I always check best prices on your website Please bring back the three options to choose when hiring ie basic comfort or premium options

Terrible in Funchal Madeira
Terrible company They are not at the FCN airport despite the claims to that extent It s practically impossible to find their shuttle there there are no signs and no one has heard about them there We considered getting a taxi to their location after 45 minutes of waiting and just by luck saw the little shuttle They don t pick up the phone listed on the reservation The car we got had extremely squeaky brakes in hilly Madeira broken seatbelt and made pretty strange noises when driven The staff s attitude was beyond disgusting and they were not cooperating No alternate cars were available

LOOOOONG RETURN PROCEDURE at MALAGA airport Would have been fine except for the 35 minutes it took to return the car and get their shuttle to the airport Not enough staff and nerve wrecking when you ve got a flight to catch A full 35 mins from the point of parking in their return car park to them checking the car and driving the shuttle bus to the terminal all done by the same guy who had to check everyone else s car too

Awful experience
Terrible experience - beware of getting ripped off like we did The provider on site Kefalonia told us we needed additional insurance or to pay 1200 deposit So we were forced to pay another 189 for an additional insurance we didn t need On-site the provider was not willing to come up with any pragmatic solution Also we got the car with 80 fuel and handed it back with 80 They then argued it was only 65 and charged me even more complete thieves Beware the small print and take photos of the fuel gauge when handing the car back

Barcelona Airport- additional cleaning
You have to take shuttle bus to external pickup location Approx 5 minutes drive and van comes every 15 minutes Administration process takes a long time If you have a few other customers before you the waiting can easily take more than half an hour At return the guy who checked the car believed it was not clean inside There were indeed some foot prints - normal usage - but he charged us 60 euro additional cleaning He gave an option to go back to gas station and use a vacuumcleaner overthere However not really an option due to time constraints We really felt cheated on this Just an additional money maker for the rental company

Alicante airport staff in our opinion are very condescending Not welcoming at all In our experience it seemed to be a chore to them to explain the way to pick up a car or questions No explanations just a key thrust at you it costs nothing to have a nice manner to customers
