Curry s Chichester West Sussex I purchased a hoover washing machine in July 23 I paid 279 plus 120 for a further 2 years peace of mind 399 total Soon after purchasing our new machine we noticed all our white bedding came out of the wash covered in rubbery sticky particles I have made countless phone calls to customer services who told me I would be hearing from an engineer within 24 hrs I never heard anymore again I have sent letters emails and photographic proof but to no avail I should have remembered my experience many years ago when I purchased a video recorder from Curry s and had a hell of a time to get a refund because that was faulty If Only I d remembered that I swore I would never buy from that company again I hope that my experience might save someone from loosing a lot of hard earned money All I can say is Daylight robbery and there should be protection from this company and their practices

I ordered a pair of crocs Brooklyn slides The look nice online but were a bit too clunky when I received them so iopted to return them I paid about 75 for the shoes and returning them would have cost me about 35 which to me is absolutely ridiculous I shop online alllll the time and never have had an experience like this

Cancelling membership

I called the 800 number to cancel my membership Was told my membership automatic renewal would be cancelled effective January 2025 I asked for a prorated refund of my recently autorenewal payment in January 2024 and was told no that was not possible I was told the best they could do was cancel the autorenewal in 2025 I expressed my disappointment and asked to be connected to the little survey they ask you to take Marisol then explained to me how I could donate to CR - I told her I am not doing anything to support CR - they are not supporting me and they are supposed to be consumer oriented Please connect me to the survey I was promptly disconnected

DANGER GEICO will screw you

I ve had my smart meter installed last June have been waiting to have it activated After a lot of complaints actually got a date for it to be activated 5Th January by EDF engineer Was told the engineer would be in touch half an hour before they would arrive given from 1 to 5pm Got to 1pm just thought I d check they were still coming I was told by Michelle he would be coming Got to 3pm so I phoned again yes he s definitely coming So got to 4pm no show phoned again told someone would contact engineer heard nothing so I at 4 45 Michelle answered oh engineer won t be coming This is appalling as he was supposed to take reading as I m disabled I should have been told earlier they weren t coming and no apology waste of time certainly very disappointed to be let down once again
