My experience more

You need to make the experience more flexible and algorithm driven I chose this as an alternative to LinkedIn but the recruiters are yet to catch my attention

Communication doesn t work as it

Communication doesn t work as it should Most companies seems to forget to answer messages which breaks the flow of recruiting

Low quality of engagement from employers

Most employers on the service don t seem interested in the kind of responsive interaction which the service claims to foster Many are either unresponsive only sending out automated messages or use inductive work strategies very few of the small number of companies using the service are real people who will take your application seriously Unless standards around employer conduct are improved this service currently isn t very useful

The worst site for candidates - you don t get to present yourself as you want

Instead of using your CV or similar as a first impression Cord forces candidates to use whatever some Cord employee thought of their linkedin profile and CV as their Cord profile Put whatever effort you want into your CV your Linkedin your Portfolio - it doesn t matter on Cord What matters is the impression of a random Cord employee

I think platform and its objective is

I think platform and its objective is good however I can see that recruiters announce the job as for EU locations or remote and then say depending on your profile if you live in France then they say candidate need to be in Spain or Portugal Most of the time despite of 16 years of experience and having all the skills you receive direct rejection with no proper justification So may be Cord can do some training programs for recruiters which will help to have better user experience for both Candidate and hiring managers

Site seems to be dead

Site seems to be dead sign of the times possibly Got a feeling recruiters on there can give you a bad review and make your profile ghost that or its a ghost town

The guys on cord

The guys on cord not really serious keep not attending the meeting they give and always replying too late to any messages you send to them what a waste of time Great tool but users not that serious

Dystopian LinkedIn

This is a very weird employment website If you even want to speak to someone you have to create an account fill in all the details LinkedIn-style wait for one of their employees to verify it and then go through another automated verification process They say that you can import it all from LinkedIn or a CV but that didn t work Once you do that you have to find a role and request to message their hiring person and then they can decide whether they ll even speak to you or not based on your profile alone This feels like a platform built firmly with all the interests of the hiring people in mind and absolutely none of the jobseekers so I ll be definitely skipping on any jobs that use this in the future
