I find the website to be buggy and the constant badgering from employees to rate Cord on Trust Pilot docks a further star from the experience

There s nothing fancy about the site It s nice that it s not flooded with third party recruiters but next to impossible to get a response from most hiring managers on there On the small occasion that you do get a response it s fine though - it does the job The UI is clunky They have focused on making the site look pretty over being usable Hiding things you don t want to see is a painful affair It s 50 50 whether or not you can archive a message after having a conversation Due to the limited number of skills you are allowed to have on your profile the matching algorithm does quite a poor job of finding appropriate matches Ultimately there s not a good influx of new roles despite the market booming so it s suffering from being too secretive To top it off the Cord staff seem to think it s ok to send marketing emails and requests for reviews on Trustpilot even though I haven t given consent to receive these They also ignore email unsubscribes So they got their wish I guess

Too many automated messages
Cord positions itself as a direct route to companies However this has unfortunately been spoiled by recruitment agencies posing as their clients on the platform

I like the idea but
Too many bot messages saying that I love your projects at X while in reality you have no informations in your bio about projects in company X The platform may be ok but it s nothing more than LinkedIn for example It s all the same automated messages all over the place salary ranges 0 - 1and recruiters who do not reply to you even though their responsiveness is marked as very quick Additionally Cord s employers love to ask you for feedback They love it so much that after a few days of you not taking action they will send it again with Not sure if you saw my last email There are many bad reviews due to this yet they still practice it for some reason So yes I saw your email and here is my honest review

Aggressive email marketing tactics
I like the idea to be connected directly to hiring manager who can easily see your profile salary requirements and type of organisation you want to join However very quickly it becomes as any other job portal with recruiters who will be sending you request without even looking at your profile At the end waste of time and no great experience This model is unachievable as hiring managers would not have time to go through each resume to identify the best candidate so consider cord as just another place to find role advertisement Maybe in near future someone will be able to create a platform which is based on your real achievements live data and accomplishments rather than CV or manually created profile

Just not many iOS jobs available on
5 emails in a very short period of time I don t ever recall sharing my details with the service I eventually gave in and then the recruiter emails wouldn t stop pouring in The option to share availability should be clearer when you re signing up

Searching for a job can be a tedious
Searching for a job can be a tedious and time-consuming process As a candidate I am always open to trying new platforms that can potentially make my job search experience more seamless and efficient That s why I decided to give Cord co a messaging platform for recruitment a try Unfortunately my experience with Cord co was disappointing due to its subpar user experience limited job vacancies and infrequent responses Firstly the user experience UX on Cord co leaves much to be desired Navigating the platform was not as intuitive as I had hoped and the overall design appeared outdated compared to other platforms I have used The messaging interface was also clunky and difficult to use making it hard to engage with potential employers in a meaningful way Another critical aspect of a good job search platform is the number and variety of job vacancies available On Cord co I found the number of job listings to be quite low which significantly reduced my chances of finding a suitable position This was particularly frustrating because one of the main reasons for trying out a new platform is to access a wider pool of job opportunities Lastly the response frequency from potential employers was disappointingly low When applying for jobs prompt communication is crucial in order to maintain momentum and interest in the position However on Cord co I often had to wait for days or even weeks to receive a response which made it difficult to gauge my progress in the job search process In summary my experience with Cord co as a job-seeking candidate was underwhelming The platform UX limited job vacancies and infrequent responses from potential employers make it hard for me to recommend Cord co to fellow job seekers There is other platform like Otta available that offer a better experience and I would suggest exploring that option before considering Cord
