Total Incompetence from administration staff

Went with CREATE for 3 cycles of IUI and our initial appointment and scan went fine Shortly after this is when we started to see the complete incompetency of the administration staff there We were first placed with a patient coordinator who we sent multiple emails to and tried to call with no responses to any After switching to another coordinator which seemed fine at first we were ready for our first IUI After going for multiple scans we were told to get to the clinic at around 10 30am Monday on the way we got a phone call from the clinic saying that there was a form that they needed signing so they could thaw the sperm As we are not from the area 1 hour 30 min drive we said we could sign it on arrival Got to the clinic and signed the form went down into theatre to have to wait 2 hours freezing in a hospital gown We aired our complaints with the clinic and they promised that the next cycle would run smoothly The next cycle came up and we were in constant worry asking the staff if we had everything signed and ready to go Something that only added to the stress and emotion when going through fertility treatment During this time our patient coordinator left the company and we were not told of our new one with emails going to her and nothing getting picked up I had to ring up and ask who we should now be speaking to We had our final cycle a couple of weeks ago and have decided for any future treatment we will not be going back I emailed CREATE last week asking for my medical records with no reply what so ever from the staff I emailed again yesterday and rang today asking for our coordinator and low and behold she has left the company I would give this company 1 star but the doctors and nurses are lovely I would save the heartache and added stress and NOT use CREATE fertility Leeds

Would not recommend for IVF

Firstly I would like to point out that we had a successful cycle of IVM and my wife is now pregnant This is clearly the most important thing from our point of view however it is not the full picture We were recommended CREATE by our fertility Dr after 2 x failed cycles of IVF with another provider Whilst the IVM cycle resulted in a positive outcome there are several other areas CREATE failed to provide an adequate service level of care Communication - Woefully inadequate from the start and throughout Needed to chase at every stage Please note the Patient coordinator is only really there until you start treatment and then you are handed over to the medical team Medicine - My wife was told to start taking a drug that evening without it ever being prescribed When we rang the emergency out-of-hours line the phone was not answered and they didn t ring back Medicine - My wife ran out of a drug as she hadn t been prescribed enough to last for the required duration This was only highlighted when we queried whether she should still be taking it Patient Handling - My wife felt like a piece of meat just being passed from department to department Procedures were carried out without a full briefing on what to expect etc I would expect this if you are going through the NHS due to workload etc however when paying a significant amount of money privately it is not ideal In summary we felt like we had to use CREATE due to them being one of the only IVM providers in the area If we were going for IVF we would avoid them We have had experience with other providers and whilst the outcome was not positive their patient handling patient portal and communication were far superior If you have the choice I would not recommend them If you have to use them double-check all information and be prepared to chase them at every stage Good luck

Really poor customer service

I m so confused how this place has got so many good reviews as sadly this has not been my experience I have been with Create for nearly two years had to have an operation on the NHS after my egg collections which caused a 8 month delay I had 3 rounds of egg collection and so far 2 FET The medical team here are good but the admin is shockingly poor There is no point having a patient coordinator assigned because you can never get hold of them As an example the latest reason I am trying to get in contact - I had blood tests on 22nd March which will determine my route forward and whether I can have another transfer I was told they would take 10 days to get back It s now 17th April and I have called several times emailed my patient coordinator still haven t even had an acknowledgement of my email am always promised a call back and never get it You have to wait on hold for 30-40 minutes before speaking to someone With this one most recent example after having to call them back again today after being told on Friday they would try to get me an appointment today the earliest appointment I can now get is at the end of the month This has been the case for the duration of my time with them although they have got so much worse of late I don t think they realise how important and life changing this process is put together with how much you pay for this it s just not good enough I am left feeling completely helpless and frustrated with a process that is already incredibly tough I have been hesitant writing this review as obviously I m an existing patient but I wish I had known this at the start so wanted to share my experience

Poor experience

A number of factors contributed to a very frustrating and stressful journey with this clinic Clinician s inexperience led to a failed initial cycle We witnessed additional dysfunction from the embryology team at CREATE It was incredibly difficult to communicate with a nurse or clinician in times of need Also obtaining the appropriate drugs was not always straight forward All of this culminated in a more expensive much longer and unnecessarily traumatic experience for my partner and I Perhaps all this can be contributed to company policy rather than individual fault We hope this clinic endeavours to provide a more individual and personal approach to patient care

Appears unorganised and disinterested

Despite paying private clinic prices you definitely don t receive the appropriate level of care 1 My appointments were messed up several times by reception but they refused to accept fault I was left waiting on zooms for up to 1 hr each time I had an appointment- sometimes 2 times in one day I appreciate things run late but you should also appreciate it s a big deal for your clients and adding long waits adds to their fear and anxiety 2 It s been 3 PLUS months since I requested a copy of my scans for my DR I ve chased multiple times and emailed multiple times often there is no email reply at all Apparently the reception is waiting for the dr to sign off - I ve explained it s time sensitive but they just say we can t do anything As I say this has gone on for MONTHS 3 The way my partner was told to ssh during a scan when he asked a question and the way I was treated throughout some of my appointments left a lot to be desired I think people need to realise we are not doctors and we might need things explained especially when I m receiving devastating news 4 There were several times I was left wandering a hallway or waiting not really sure where I was going or where I was supposed to be Overall disappointing and not what I would expect Hopefully I ll eventually get my scans Update claims to have contacted me to resolve this complaint - that s incorrect info also

Agreed refund delayed

We paid for the 3 cycle natural modified package After 1 round we decided not to continue and requested a refund of the remainder of the money Our terms and conditions say that a refund will be processed within 28 days it does not say working days We requested a refund on 1 June We didn t receive it until 29 July The staff replied to our emails with explanations about technical issues and apologies The terms and conditions don t seem to be something Create as an organisation abides by This level of disorganisation has been representative of our experience using this clinic from the very beginning Although we ve had better communication about the refund than while we were going through IVF

Poor customer service

Great facilities and knowledgeable practitioners but A nearly every time you need to call to book an appointment you are waiting for 30 minutes or moreB when you do get through and they decide you need to speak to a specific department that they can t reach that department rarely rings back despite what reception saysC you will always be waiting on visit between 30 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes for every scan sometimes longer Not the service you expect when paying privately

Great Medical team very poor admin

Create s medical nursing and surgical team were brilliant and during my appointments and procedures made me feel totally at ease We never saw the same doctor twice would be my only feedback but the people we did see were always great Sadly the admin team really let Create down The communication was poor I chased basic information and the only way to get to speak to someone was to withhold payment so they called you We also had some bad experiences for example after my first round I was told I was pregnant and then told I wasn t a matter of minutes later on another call If it wasn t for the head of nursing Chriss we would have left Create Her support understanding and dedication to getting our questions answered in areas outside of her remit were hugely appreciated We are so so lucky that a few rounds in we managed to fall pregnant and now have a beautiful 7 week old baby boy which in the end is all that matters it would have just been wonderful if our experience with Create wasn t so frustrating adding to an already stressful time

Let down my admin staff

Nursing team and doctors are amazing The issue is with the patient coordinator s communication I was told after a consultation with a nurse the coordinator would be contact to sort payment etc After a few days of not hearing anything I had to chase and eventually got a call the following day when I was told an invoice would be emailed 24hrs later and no invoice still I had to call the clinic twice and email before the invoice was sent on a general email no a-policy or explanation why it would take over 24 hours Called today to clarify something and was told there was an outstanding bill of 400 on my account - this has never been mentioned before and I have been told by create if I were to cancel my treatment that has not yet started I would not receive any of the 2 5k back due to the outstanding 400 - never mind the fact there would be a large amount left over after the unknown debt is cleared Steer clear and save yourself the stress

Wasn t great experience for us

This review isn t to be to be taken wholly negative this is about our own personal experience with this clinic My wife and I went through fertility treatment IUI and ivf We were aware that it may not work and we went into this being realistic in regards of the results and what may happen It unfortunately was not meant for us and that is okay However the communication of the admin side of the clinic was not great we had spent numerous times making phone calls and emails to get hold of someone and for someone to get in touch with us before treatments We missed one cycle because of this We messaged a few times about payment when we pay what we pay and how we pay for us to be spoken to in front of other patients that we had not yet paid which made us feel slightly embarrassed considering we had tried to do so After our final treatment cycle we called to say that it was not positive and that was that I m aware that there is the counselling service which luckily me and my wife have taken the negative news well and are moving into other options so we do not need to use it However I feel that services that you pay for should be more person centred I am concerned that others who may not have the resilience to cope with negative news may struggle with the lack of support I just thought the clinic would have made contact at least to ask what our next steps are We had contemplated moving clinics before moving into IVF but we had already put money into it I will say that the nursing side of the clinic is amazing they do make you feel very at ease and talk you through each procedure and are so supportive If I could give just the nursing side 5 stars I would I just hope other people will see this review and just be a little more aware and I hope the clinic improve on its communication
