Ordered a pair of sunglasses but they ended up being out of stock so I never received them was a bit of a long process going backwards and forwards with customer service but eventually I got a refund and a generous discount on my next purchase as an apology

I am writing this review as an online customer I have to say that at the stage of pre order customer service was excellent attentive and thorough all my queries were answered in a timely manner mainly using the online chat function as the customer care phone line was never answered I initially ordered 3 pairs of clear lenses models to see which one I preferred I then ordered the one I liked with my prescription The 2nd order did arrive before the expected due date however when arrived the frame was twisted and warped so I reported this to customer service with the intention of having another pair dispatched or send them back for repair I thought this would be part of the Cubitts 30 day no quibble returns policy that is advertised 1 day after reporting the problem I got a reply from customer services asking for some pictures and that it would be looked into I provided photos and videos4 days later I had had no response to to this so decided to chase the situation I had no reply to this and 6 days later I chased up further this time I had a reply the next day saying that the matter would be investigated which is the same info as I got on day one of bringing the issue to cubits attention Everyone I have dealt with at Cubitts have been really nice and amiable but without doing anything about the problem

I like the selection of frames and customer service was fine I do have an issue with the lenses though I was initially so impressed that they were free Within a couple of weeks though they were more scratched than a pair of glasses I d had for four years Truly with better care they have coped 3-4times worse I work from home and it s basically at the point where if I have a client call I wear the Cubitts glasses because they look smart Otherwise I wear my old wonky specsavers pair because as crooked as they are I can see out of them

The glasses are nice and good quality however I ve been disappointed by Cubitts customer service The function to upload my prescription to their website didn t work and then the pupillary distance measurement feature also malfunctioned - think these require more user testing Then when my order arrived I discovered they had sent the wrong size of clip-on sunglasses for the glasses I d ordered The customer support is slow so I m still waiting to find out how I can return these - I ll update my review once this is sorted out

the frame broke after 5 years- which isn t the best considering the brand boasts of top quality british workmanship no repairs were available and i was asked if i wanted to buy a new frame ANY traditional spectacle store would be able to carry out simple repairs- especially if spare parts are not needed been wearing nhs glasses for decades without breakages and this was my first frame that broke Edit the response below is rather useless as I have already said that I emailed them Thanks a bunch

I very much like my sunglasses which are well made and stylish However the prescription lenses took three visits to sort out The reason being that having brought my own prescription I was advised by their shop staff who are not optometrists and so was not well advised Even after I was referred to their optometrist I had to make do with occupational lenses rather than vari-focals My wife who has a stronger prescription and went to Specsavers had no issues getting vari focals Based on my experience I cannot recommend their prescription lens service

Unfortunately I haven t had a good experience with Cubitts this time around After getting a pair of glasses from them 5 years ago and loving them I decided to get a new pair from them as well It s been 3 weeks now and I still have no idea when I ll receive my glasses Customer service has responded a couple times that they have no update for me Maybe they will see this and actually get back with a proper update Update I m updating to 3 stars as after I left this review Sam head of customer service was very quick in reaching out to me and solving the issue straight away He was very kind and apologetic and even through in a complementary pair on clip ons for my glasses I also received my glasses today and you can t fault the quality at all very happy with them I still had to leave a bad review for someone to get back to me but in the end was resolved and am happy with my specs
