An ideal safari experience

Our trip was fantastic from the early planning stages through to the end Karen took the time to talk through potential itineraries and destinations until we found a plan that worked Once we got there the accommodations were top-notch and our guide Sultan was terrific He was very knowledgeable about Tanzanian wildlife and he generously shared his country with us

Deeper Africa Double Thumbs Up

Could not have asked for more out of Deeper Africa for making our Africa adventure a trip of a lifetime Karen and her staff went out of their way to make our trip worry free and making sure our accommodations were second to none Most importantly the guides David and Bosco were outstanding in their knowledge and tracking abilities and our interpersonal actions made it as much fun as well as the over abundance of wildlife viewing Anyone looking to book their next Africa adventure should look no further than Deeper Africa

Deeper Africa planned a safari in Kenya for six of us last fall Wonderful lodges very knowledgeable guide who was with us throughout our trip We saw an incredible amount of animals Incredibly responsive to all our questions and needs Highly recommend

Our recent safari to Tanzania was simply stunning - I would not change a thing Our guide John Mndowla was amazing in his knowledge care and engagement He catered to each of us in his own special way and the things he showed us were simply incredible e g baby lions elephant herds crossing directly in from of the truck the staggering volume of the great migration He made the trip the incredibly special event that it was The team at Deeper Africa created an absolutely seamless experience for us I know how hard they worked but they really made it feel effortless This trip was a big deal for us and it fulfilled every expectation

Everything went off without a hitch We knew what to expect and without fail Deeper African exceeded our expectations Our guide Albert was amazing I m fact I think her was my favorite part of the trip If you are even thinking about visiting Africa you must contact Karen or Wil at Deeper Africa

We had a wonderful experience with Karen and Deeper Africa Their attention to detail was perfect and she put her heart into planning the perfect trip for our family Karen also met with us and separately with our kids to educate us about the trip She helped us pull off a fun and exciting trip for a group age 10 to age 82 And did it during COVID Our guides were warm well educated and fun 10 10 I would recommend Deeper Africa

Deeper Africa exceeded all expectations

Deeper Africa exceeded all expectations planning this trip From our first phone call all of our questions were answered so quickly the headache of VISAs were all taken away so helpful during the actual trip they were communicative informative and helpful thank you to the whole office team at Deeper Africa Our flight was delayed in Nirobi by 5 or 6 hours and when I emailed to inform Deeper Africa I got a call back within minutes letting me know we have nothing to worry about Our guide in Tanzania Baraka was AMAZING Baraka is extremely knowledgeable with the animals and plants he made sure while stopping for us to have the best view of the animals were were not disturbing them in their natural habitat The camps Deeper Africa picked for us were all great the staff and people in Tanzania were all so warm and great Deeper Africa made it so we did not have to worry about anything during our trip Everything from a tipping guideline to what we should pack and not pack were so helpful Each of us only had 1 carryon for 18 days plus 1 camera bag for me made getting through airports so much easier The 4 days in Kenya was also very nice Bernard our quiet mellow Maasi guide gave us so many surprise moments and wonder wildlife views We are already talking about our next trip and it would definitely be with Deeper Africa and we are going to request Baraka to guide us in Tanzania again

Deeper Africa safari was a once in a lifetime trip

Deeper Africa made our entire trip effortless - every step was perfectly executed from the Visa application to airport transfers complete with a picnic basket The safari itself was truly a trip of a lifetime remarkable Our guide Hamishi Sultan is a natural teacher and is so knowledgeable about the country and its history politics and of course animals and their habitat We soon realized that other tour companies looked to him and where we were going because they knew he would find the animals And did we ever find animals We were smack in the middle of the wildebeest and zebra migration saw 64 different lions 2 serval cats leopards cheetahs elephants giraffes and so much more Sultan could identify so many birds - we checked off 84 Deeper Africa arranged for us to visit a public primary school - what an eye-opening experience Between Sultan and the experiences that Deeper Africa provided us our Tanzania safari was a once in a lifetime experience We will travel with them again

Best Safari Ever

I worked with Karen Zulauf to plan our safari She had a deep knowledge of Africa and the camps available in the area we wanted to visit She was able to figure out perfectly what was important to my group We went to three camps two in Botswana and one in Zimbabwe All different from each other and all special in their own unique way The traveling from one camp to another went off without a hitch so we were stress free We were well taken care of and had many amazing and diverse experiences I look forward to planning another safari with Deeper Africa in the future
