The App works well and fees particularly for USD transactions are ok That s all the positive news I can confirm other reviews on the fact that DeGiro unlawfully holds customer funds In my case I made a significant EUR deposit to my EUR trading account but DeGiro did not credit stating the main account is in CHF and therefore they cannot credit After 1 months of back and forth I was told I we have found the money and you will receive a refund within 6 business days no refund nor reply to emails since Phone is not being answered Also promised credits for bringing on new customers are not being issued It is unbelievable that this type of corporate behavior still exists in these days One has to assume this is a directive of the new German ownership I have passed the matter in to a legal council Shame on you DeGiro

EDIT Got my money back after following up on Twitter and email After almost a week of following up Zero customer service and zero reliability Money has completely disappeared and theyre unwilling to help I don t even think they have a customer service

Beware of their custody account - expensive 3 on dividend and coupon transactions and you cannot move back to a basic account without paying 7 5 euro per position Also be aware that you will have to pay 100 euro per position if you want to transfer your positions to another broker Costs and lock-ins you need to know about

Degiro was my main for a long time with a significant portfolio and I used to really like it Simple clear website fine availability of products and markets especially for Europe instant deposits withdrawals work pretty fair speed good enough customer service However the IT is pretty bad the links between the trade execution order screen and portfolio screen sometimes aren t instant app is old-school and has this non-refreshing issue almost always Trade execution isn t the best as well I think it is due to SORs they use Mutual funds orders can become a mess as well sometimes you just don t what happened with an order It seems like Degiro now has some kind of a preference what type of clients they want and they only support functions and pricing for that This could be really where all European small and large investors could be but unfortunately it is not utilized to its potential

I ve heard good things but I m very frustrated with the amount of time it is taking them get the account up and running I made my first deposit on Friday and have been assured by my bank that it would have reached DEGIRO accounts by now With the market so volatile at the moment every second counts

DEGIRO is regulated by top-tier financial authorities the Netherlands Authority for the Financial Markets AFM and the Dutch Central Bank DNB It is registered with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Amsterdam they No credit debit card deposit and withdrawal though has One of the lowest fees on the market Fast and seamless account opening but what is the point if there are no credit debit card deposit and withdrawal this was what i considered and i asked for withdrawal and all went wrong

easy to use interface howeverI transferred funds 4 days ago and still not showing in my account E mailed the customer service team and asked for proof sent proof from my online account clearly outlining the transfer but they want to investigate the issue Seems a bit strange how they cant just alocate the funds also called them and the customer service is poor there depositing system needs updating its 2021 not 1991its now over 9 days AND STILL NO FUNDS and I have sent proof from my bank of transfer11 6 21 this issue is now sorted thank you it just took too long

I like Degiro for its great selection of investment options What I don t like is the fact that you can change your account type from Beginner no margin to Starter with margin but you can t change that back Without any clear warning I was aparently investing with borrowed money I do admit this is my own mistake But the problem is that I cannot change my account type back to Beginner to prevent making the same mistake 3 stars because I haven t received any reply to the request for changing my account back to Beginner

Good execution and low costs especially for small traders investors However the customer service is non existent during COVID-19 times They haven t replied to my email after 7 business days and I was waiting 30min on the waiting line only for my call to be terminated automatically Also they are not good for options warrants etc Limited offers and monthly fee of 5 for keeping any option position open To sum up Good for small investors who want to trade US stocks ETFs but other than that it s a bit disappointing
