Good service in the past but some problems this time Misquoted twice then sent the wrong items

Have poor experience with camera reliability So far I have 5 dead cameras and 2 intermittent out of 22 total Sadly now they are being let down by delivery service

I came to your offices and bought an updated NVR and IP PTZ camera and a PoE switch to power the camera but was informed when we started commissioning it that the camera needed a local supply We also discovered that we needed a seperate mounting bracket for the PTZ which wasn t mentioned at the point of order

I bought 5 cameras and a vortex nvr from DDS After 2 years the IP67 cameras started letting water in I have had to change 3 The last 2 replacements 1 new one steamed up 1 did not work and so both were exchanged I then wanted to put an extra camera up They sent 2 both did not work despite Dds remote accessing my nvr They said they needed a windows laptop with ie on-site to fix it and I have macs Who uses internet explorer anymore It was their camera nvr and cable so the problem is DDS s not mine They eventually refunded me after many phone calls and after refusing to send another replacement camera By the way their accounts person started hanging up on me when I phoned so I went back to sales to sort it The app Inview for iPhones is poor It s made by a Chinese developer not linked to Dds but the only app they recommend You have to manually change the Hd setting every time you look at a picture or the image does not work It really is poor The 4mp picture quality and ir night view is poor too I put up a ring camera What a difference Better picture Better night view Better app Notifications person detection and zones easy to do up and running in seconds no faffing with settings Cloud storage easy to access videos talk and listen to the camera I m not buying from Dds again and will replace all my cameras when these cheap badged Chinese cameras from Dds give up Try ring or canary or any modern camera and avoid the cheap Chinese badged cameras from Dds

Did not arrive on the promised day so adding one day s loss of earnings due to waiting in to the otherwise attractive price Very well packed and listed The product appears to be well made not fully installed at the moment but the biggest let down for a first time installer is the ridiculous language in the installation and user manuals Can we have them in plain English Otherwise very helpful and efficient

Always happy with the kit and the service and have returned more than once for more stuff however if you re not in a rush for your order there s no slower cheaper despatch option than 10 next day service On top of that VAT is applied to the postage at checkout so it s even more than 10 minimum option Please address the checkout postage options

I ve found the service relating to the camera and DVR has been excellent Good advice on the camera and the option to try different ones and lenses The bad side has been the software side I couldn t download files from my DVR and play them on my laptop until a software upgrade why wasn t this sent initially Internet access was set up but this stopped working for no apparent reason a week later Why are these things such a pain and anything but straightforward

In terms of wide angle vision the camera was a step up but in shadow it is difficult to pick things out and at night its a step backwards from the camera it replaced

The product is fine but I required the items before a bank holiday weekend and I was assured that the good would arrive on the Thursday they never actually arrived until the Tuesday I never received an apology or an offer of any discount

Everyone at DDS was lovely with good phone manner They helped me specify a system to project a live feed to a XGA projector As far as I can tell the process were fair and delivery was certainly efficientThe But is that I ended up without some of the bits I did need and with some bits i didn t With hindsight hat was all down to me sorting out the final details with a sales order fulfillment person rather than a technician Now I know how the company works I ll know better The only other point is that the manuals with the gear were laughably brief and written in what I guess is Chinglish The picture smear too mass was the highlight of the common problems section
