Skip if you need a prescription or similar
My husband has a history of elbow bursitis but a change in insurance meant that he had a period without a primary care physician The only option available was an urgent care clinic 45 minutes away which was not covered by insurance We hoped this would be a good option probably resulting in either a prescription for antibiotics if septic bursitis was diagnosed or possibly a referral option for a shot of cortisone if other type Instead he was told he had septic bursitis and needed to go to see a doctor who would inject antibiotics into the bursa although this has never been his prescribed treatment in prior cases which were worse than he was currently experiencing So he paid 75 to be told what we already knew given no treatment told to see a doctor and it was honestly a total waste of money I had imagined that doctors on demand could at least write a prescription for oral antibiotics especially since the doctor said antibiotics were required to treat it Instead he tried to get in the following day but it was such a long wait he was not able to so he just iced it took a lot of Tylenol and several days later resolved on its own

Terrible
Terrible My appointment expired without anyone calling me After an trying contacting them someone called me They promised to send a script which I waited for an hour for now and still did not get I called the service and Ric advised me to make another appt and pay another 60 I will complain to the health authority about this agency They should not be able to operate

I told the nurse practitioner I had a sinus infection I get them quite often couple times a year I am 62 years old and know my body and my symptoms She would not prescribe an antibiotic and prescribed steroids for a diabetic I took the steroids with no help and two weeks later I still had the sinus infection and called telemed and received a rx for an antiobiotic and three days later was almost back to 100 I called dr on demand several times to discuss with customer service and they stand totally behind their doctors bad diagnosis I would never use dr On demand Very poor business practices I am not sure of the date of service

This service is extremely awful
This service is extremely awful It is providing unethical medical practices and mental health care Once they get your money they will not return it even if your appointment is shorter than promised or you get nothing out of it or if the service was not up to standards Don t waste your money

USELESS burned twice- will never use again
The last 2 times I ve used have waited over an hour which defeats the purpose of on demand and is in stark contrast to their ads you ll be seen in 5-10 minutes After finally getting in I was denied care both times based on very basic info that was in my chart asked during the screening process Are you pregnant If this involves your ear even if it s just a sinus infection have to go in-person elsewhere I get chronic sinus infections 4 times a year like clockwork This isn t abnormal or a big reach Both times I ve been on vacation and our insurance doesn t cover out-of-state care so this is my only realistic option I understand limits of telehealth but a this is BASIC STANDARD CARE for my 100th sinus infection and b you could ve saved me the hours and charges I was still charged of course if you actually use anything in the screening process

Terrible medical care
Terrible medical care My husband has been very sick with an upper respiratory infection All she wanted to talk about was Covid-19 and viruses He clearly told her that he tested negative for covid-19 She refused to order anything for his URI Wasted our time and money I don t understand why United Healthcare decided that this medical service was better than the online medical service they had before

Poor treatment
My 19 year old son had the same experience some others wrote about Allergies for a week taking antihistamine Got a horrible sinus infection with pounding headache aching pressure behind my eyes and when he could blow my nose it was yellowish green Told him to use Nose spray and pseudoephedrine He had to go to urgent care the same day to get appropriate treatment with antibiotics Don t waste your time or money Just go to urgent care to start with This is the second time this has happened to us

this company has the worst accounting
this company has the worst accounting system I have ever encountered I shouldn t have any sort of bill with them and somehow my bill has gone up in one month from 334 to 855 68 Im starting to think this company is a scam I can t get anyone to help me or even explain why they are charging me these amounts

Awful experience and a waste of money
Awful They don t treat sinus infections even though it is listed They used to prescribe antibiotics but I guess not anymore My wife had a sinus infection and they gave her nothing but nose spray She went to her nurse practitioner and got the appropriate antibiotics and steroids better quickly I have used Dr On demand twice in the last 2 weeks I have a sinus infection I know what it feels like The first visit steroids and nose spray The 2nd vist the same sprays minus the steroids When I questioned the medical advice the Dr Told me to go see my Dr It makes no sense So now I will have to go to the urgent care and spend more money plus take work off I will never use the Dr On demand service again
