The pair of Black Nickel handles I purchased looked great for a couple of weeks then the Nickel plate started to chip and peel of the one handle When I contacted the customer services department I was told that their suppliers warranty did not cover the finish What that has to do with me a customer of the Door handle company I don t know I was also told that on this occasion they would send me a replacement I have received a replacement and they do look good

Delivery far to long
Delivery far to long Realised after placing order it would be 2 to 5 days At the time of order everything was supposedly in stock but 2 days after ordering told some items were out of stock and would be delivered by 5th April Rang at end of day 5 as the other items had not arrived only to be told they were being sent that evening 6 days for the bulk of the order and the missing item turned up over a month after ordering As a trade customer I require next day delivery so will not be using again

Pretty product but poor design
The lock was delivered promptly and with all the necessary parts It is largely straightforward to fit but the design is poor The spindle which turns the Occupied Vacant sign is only supported by about 1 5 mm of the front fascia One has to be very accurate 0 5 mm error when cutting it Even when cut accurately the lock is stiff because the fascia must clamp the spindle properly

Poor customer service
Order didn t arrive because of a Parcelforce issue 5 phone calls from me still no resolution I was promised call backs on 2 occasions neither of which happened If DHC were proactive in sorting the issue or at the very least called back when they said they would that would have helped Have now requested my order be cancelled will buy from somebody else

Everything about order was fine except
Everything about order was fine except the packaging and delivery For such expensive items I would have expected better and more secure packaging The hinges arrived loose in a DPD plastic bag This meant that for duration of delivery they were banging around inside the bag and were not secure at all The hinges are heavy and had all come out of their flimsy card boxes and the stainless steel screws were loose in the bag too

Delivery took ages some items that I was told would be delivered were not until I had to chase again I was told items were on the van for delivery and they were not Not impressed

Items missing
Initial order went well and door knobs tunred up quickly however all were missing fixing screws that were meant to be included Rang up and was told they would be sent to me in a few days never turned up Ended up buying screws elsewhere

Matt black door handles
Handles where good quality but the rose on a couple of the handles was extremely difficult to unscrew I damaged one handle trying to unscrew the rose which took me over half an hour to finally unscrew it

12 days for delivery
I ordered some lockable entrance handles for a customer on the 11th of December I emailed DHC on the 18th to chase up the order and was told they were waiting for stock In my opinion this should have been reported to me sooner so that I could have cancelled the order and purchased from elsewhere The handles didn t arrive until 23rd by which time I had lost the job to another locksmith I have recently attempted to fit one set of the DHC handles for a new customer and can honestly say they are the worst handles I ve ever come across now this isn t necessarily the fault of DHC rather the Union brand but it just adds insult to injury I ve tried to get a refund but communication has gone quiet I have since ordered the same style of handle but of a different brand and from a different seller for less money and they are 100 percent better and arrived the next day
