I booked my Category C training with EasyAs HGV in February 2020 just before the initial lockdown so I knew it wasn t going to be straight forward however I had no idea I would have to do so much chasing I must say the online training material was excellent and gave me all I needed to pass the theory tests the thing which would have improved it for me would have been some regular check-ins to see how things were going Did I understand the material Did I have any questions or things which needed clarifying I learn better during interactive training sessions and found the just get on and do it yourself online approach was difficult for me I was in touch with EasyAs regularly and when lockdown restrictions were lifted and the DVSA started releasing test dates I found I had to make the contact with the team to get dates for tests booked and chase to see if any earlier dates were released There was no pro-activity on the behalf of EasyAs to try and get my training moving quickly in my experience After eventually getting the theory tests booked I felt things were starting to move Until I failed the hazard perception test When I rang to advise of the fail I was informed it was 30 to rebook which I did Out of curiosity I checked the Government website to see how much the test fee was and I was astounded to see the fee was only 11 I rang back and asked why I was being charged 30 and was told the rest was the admin charge for booking on my behalf I told the agent I was dealing with the charge should have been explained up-front This admin charge although some will say It s only 19 is almost 173 of the test fee I told the agent not to book the retest to refund the fee and I would book myself Banks have been made to refund billions to customers for not explaining fees fully and giving customers all the information needed to make an informed decision Once all the theory tests were done I was finally able to start the practical training and managed to pass on 15th Oct Upon passing I happened to ask the LGV training centre I had used in Felling Gateshead who were excellent for some details about their Class C E training as I was considering doing that as a follow-up The team in Gateshead said that due to the contract they had with EasyAs they weren t allowed to give me any details They couldn t do anything directly with me for 2 years if I wanted to do further training with them I had to book via EasyAs I found this absolutely astonishing I had booked and paid for the Cat C training with EasyAs and as far as I was concerned my contract with them was fulflled I find it ludicrous that they attempt to block any further development unless I or others go through them Whilst I was considering doing further training the fact they had prevented me from even being given information from the training centre in Gateshead meant there was no way I would employ the services of EasyAs for any additional training I have booked my Category C E with another training company Another aspect of the EasyAs package which interested me was the way they claimed to be able to help find employment once the tests were passed as they had links with several haulage companies After passing my practical test I rang and asked about this help to find employment I was told the recruitment contact would call me to discuss options I didn t get a call I got an email with a link for another agency to fill my details in and then they would help me find work I got a call on Friday 30th Oct from the agency saying they had received my details and someone from the local office would contact me later that day or Monday 2nd Nov Today is Monday 9th November and still no contact from the local office In the meantime I have registered with 2 other agencies as I feel this is more likely to generate some employment All in all a very disappointing experience with EasyAs and I could not in all consciousness recommend their services to others thinking about training for an HGV license My advice would be to speak to an LGV centre local to you and book with them directly

I used EASY AS HGV for my back to back course of class 2 and 1 My experience with them is At the beginning it s all smooth talk it s sold well to you and it seems alot is on offer but when you break it down it s really not Just before the end of my courses everything was on the ball with regards to regular contact and helping with the next step What you pay for right Then I thought it was a good thing but after being told by a good trusted source that knows the company that it comes down to money and if they don t keep a track of what s going on they get charges with regards to bookings etc it made sense now that then who I thought were there as a friendly helping hand wasn t and it was all about the money clear now that was the reason of the regular contact this soon died off towards the end proving even more the stated above The PASS PROTECTION PLUS BEWARE they will sell you this and be really insistent about it even down to regularly contacting you to try and make you pay it even when they don t contact you to check the results of your tests Advise if you think your pass and convident about it don t pay it you will lose it and it s non refundable as was my mistake It s there only way of profit other than you failing a test and having to rebook And the CV re writing and so called possible employment waiting at the end is non existent When I passed my class 2 I enquired for work and had to wait 2 weeks before I got one response from an agency in Hampshire and I m based in Essex and nothing come of it I never bothered when i passed class 1 it s probably quicker and easier you doing it yourself I still to this day never received a call on the day of my class 1 test and passed to congratulate a word of thanks for using them or anything I m assuming they know i passed from the training school I used They are one of the main competitors out there for the provider and probably one of the best price wise But for the complete novice know where your at with yourself with the course and use the company to your advantage not there own I hope my experience helps others with there journey Good luck PS it s been really amusing reading the companys replys to other posts and how they state there positives and progress It s all political

I paid Easy as Hgv for a class c course the theory material was excellent however I asked the broker for an automatic vehicle to do my test in and he said sure no problem when I arrived on the day I found he had booked manual I told the insttinstructor and he said the automatic was fully booked just give it s try so I did I only got 2hrs training a day instead of 4 out of 8 as you share the cab the other guy was not with the broker but went direct to the training company He also had a 5 day course with the test on the 5th day He paid nearly half of what you pay with these scammy brokers and got twice the amount of drive time I called them and told them I wasn t happy with the amount of training I recieved and they basically said tough sh t they refused any refund and I never sat the cpc with them either they kept my money During my drive time the trainer took the breaks and sat talking to his mate while the time was ticking easy as hgv couldn t give a rats a se and laughed FIND A Local Company do yourself a favour Avoid Brokers

I needed a C1 refresher course Initally they seemed very helpful I was told once I had paid I would find out in a couple days the date of my driving course I found out over 2 weeks later after calling them several times and chasing it myself Moreover they said the delay was because the tests were delayed even though I didn t need a test This also leads me to believe I had been over charged for a test along with the refresher I needed I did not challenge price as I was just relieved to have the course as my pending job depended on it Easy as HGV confirmed I would have my course in an automatic van yet when I turned up they only had a manual The company I did my driving course were amazing but Easy as HGV let me down multiple times

Yes I passed with them but Don t sign up with this company They charge stupid money and promise things that they don t intend to do like help after passing your test They sell products that aren t needed and make it sound like you need them and then hide behind their cleverly worded terms and conditions When you find out you don t need it they won t refund you as its past the 14 day cooling off period They tell you that you can train locally but when you actually try and book surprise surprise you ve gotta travel miles as your local centre has no availibility or you have to wait for months Pointless if like me you needed employment ASAP Stay well clear

Realy good instructors i had However i paid up front for a 16 hour course and only drove for approximately 10 hours before my test hence i failed Filling in the review at the end of each lesson i could hardly badmouth the instructor whilst he was sat next to me could i I should have had 4 x 4 hour lessons yet on one day i recieved just 1 hour before the instructor had to be elsewere I simply didnt get the tuition i payed for

Honestly this course didn t help much As I paid for full course then covid hit there were so many complications that I couldn t finish my course in time frame of 1 year Therefore the company called me and sied I have to pay a full balance of 2 thousand for the hgv course again as its expired They didn t consider any covid issues I had and been through even though I ve completed all my theory tests I could not process This company was a waste of money Customers who don t complete within 1 year with any problems in their life will not be able to complete the course without paying a new feecourse it shows how careless they are

Lost 1800 quid why All they did was send me a few videos and material which had expired They over charged me by 200 pound before refunding after I raised it They also tried to charge me 110 pound to resit my hgv theory and cpc when I got it for 49 online direct The guys are okay and polite but only because they want your money Watch for add ons they will try to push for that s not mentioned on day 1

A little while ago I wrote a review of this company and gave it a high rating this time I would like to qualify my prior comments with a word of warning to others The service they provide is good BUT Since going through the process I have found that the material provided and the service they provide is available at nearly half the price if done by the candidate themselves This has cost me nearly 4 000 and if I had done the legwork myself it could have been completed for around 1 800 As a word of warning they say that EVERYTHING you need is included this is not the case My medical was not included in the price and now I find having passed my test the CPC is also not included and it is not possible to get a driving job without the CPC The CPC takes more time and costs another 500 approx All I can say is that the service should be good considering all they are is a broker and that they have no vehicles of their own probably only have office overheads and they make more money than the actual driving schools who have all the cost of running and maintaining the trucks Anyone thinking of doing their HGV should call some driving schools and compare services and costs before paying this much I wish I had known this before One more thing I was told that they have driving schools all over the country and would find one local to me in fact the place is over an hour away from me and I know there are many schools much closer The people are nice responsive etc but do your research

Ok - if you re rich don t have a clue what you re doing I booked c1 and paid in 2 payments First 750 was for paperwork which you can order yourself FREE on the DVLA website and send the forms away Fair enough they organised my medical but I had to then use my own 55 to pay for that which I thought was ridiculous I was given an app to download and use to study for my theory but wasn t easy to understand My first theory was booked passed one half then had to pay 26 again out my own pocket to pass the second half which I did the second time round So 750 for bits of paper and 1 theory test If I had passed the first time it still wouldn t of been worth my money Second 750 was then paid 3 lessons 4 hours a day test and they contacted a driving company for me which I wish I had just done myself now as the instructor the owner of the company was half an hour late and was not the least bit professional whatsoever I later found out that if I was to book it all myself going straight to a company firsthand I would only if had to pay 700 including my test Rip-off is an understatement The only good thing to say about EasyasHGV was when I first phoned up to book I was dealt with a lovely man named Sam manager who I later found out had left the business half way through my license I have nothing to say about any other members of staff as everything was booked with Sam
