Lost in translation and group activites
To many of the lessons consisted of to many group excersises I understand that group excersises are effective but not every lesson it becomes to repetitive Is also didnt enjoy the classrooms som were very Cold and some had very bad acustics The teachers insisted on using spanish the whole time and that became very problematic when they had to explain excersises all the time Especially on beginner level where there was many people WHO didnt understand the excersises

I m Norwegian and I went to EF camp to learn German in Germany They promised us food but all we got for dinner was a drink and some salad and a little sandwich This is not a dinner This is a lunch I found insects in some of my friends bed and no one came to clean the garbage and we asked if we could take the garbage our self and they said no you may not Three counselors yelled at me and said that you re a child if you call your parents They yelled at my face because one of my friends accidentally peed in the bed because she was very sick and didn t get help and they told me that if I didn t say who it was then I would have to pay a fine I did not want to tell on my friend because it wasn t her fault that she peed it s because she was sick and didn t get help from EF Also put us in park was supposed to be outdoors time and they almost didn t do anything with us in the parks it was just sit there for 2 to 3 hours our teacher was very kind but we got a substitute sometimes and she got mad if you got one and answer wrong Please reply to my message EF

I had asked if vegetarian food is possible as an alternative I was was told no problem But after the booking I had to learn that I have to pay for it

Never EF again
I signed my cousin for a trip to Canada They are leaving in June Because it would take time to get the proper documentation for him to obtain a passport We decided to cancel I thought if I canceled 150 days before departure I would be entitled to a refund minus the enrollment fee However when I called I was told there was a 500 cancellation fee I spend 600 dollars so I receive no refund That s ludicrous What a waste and what a scam I d never go through them again I would rather contact a travel agent and do it myself Thanks for nothing

Horrible customer service--misrepresented in every way
We have paid 1500 00 to enroll our granddaughter in an EF experience in Costa Rica paid Oct 25 2023 We cancelled the trip on December 20 2023 Contacted EF of cancellation on Dec 20 2023 Still have not received the refund of 1500 and today in phone conversation with representative are told we will only receive 960 00 refund Rest is not refundable The 960 will be dealt with maybe next week February 10 2024 EF reports having refund software revisions that are causing problems and LATE REFUNDS 540 00 not refundable is a very stiff penalty Not heard of in travel industry This is wrong and this company should be accountable The trip is not scheduled until June 2024 and they were notified of cancellation December 20 2023 Very poor customer service--Warning

Hello I booked a stay for my 12 year old son for Bournemouth with a departure from Marseille by plane on February 25 supposedly supervised by members of EF what was my surprise to notice 4 days before departure that the journey would be by train without any supervision with stops So I decided to take my son by plane directly The return was planned identically with a night at the hotel without any information We therefore also planned to collect it directly from Gare du Nord on 9 3 at 8 p m We therefore contacted the Marseille agency to inform them of this problem which corresponded neither to the conditions of sale nor to the speech of the person who sold me the package This evening we called our son at 10 p m English time what was the surprise to find that he was on a bus in the opposite direction from the resident s house without any supervision from an EF member nor from his reception manager She herself concerned not to see the 4 boys return under her responsibility who were waiting for them for the 8 p m meal In addition I am asked to put credits on the application so that my son can use them on site but he was not able to use this money on site I would therefore like to contact you directly because I am not sure that this is what you want to show about the EF stays that you are promoting I paid a non-existent transfer service and above all more than doubtful regarding the supervision In addition I paid a deposit for a stay in July in Brighton which I do not think was honored I am waiting for a return on your services ThanksFRM 3240860

Auckland Abused ignored Stay away
Terrible experience Before I left my home country I heard about problems with the host family s in Auckland I said that to EF and they answered me that they know about problems in host family s in Auckland but they will check it extra carefully for me and give me a family that follow our high standards I was placed in a host family with a insane old women She was labile and really mean to me When I should change my accommodation she hits me EF didn t care about this at all No good new accommodation no support no money nothing They also continued to have other students in that family Then they ignored me for the rest of my stay Now when I m leaving suddenly everyone asks what can we do for you After I wrote a bad review on Google maps This is one of the most horrible experiences in my life I want to warn everyone for this company

EF language travel does pay their debt
EF language travel Denmark have now been unable wouldn t repay money they owe me for months They run a so-called Credit system where they get their travelers to deposit money that can be used to buy trips and experiences when you are traveling with them It just doesn t work that you don t want to pay money back when the EF itself is to blame for not being able to participate in a trip Update 03 04 2024 Still nothing EF is still not returning the money They keep saying they will but it s been taking month without any succes It s very unprofessional I do not recommend traveling with EF

Don t respond to signed-for letters Only phone line seems to go permanently to answerphone and they don t call back Placed a student as a sublet despite being told explicitly that the tenant was not allowed to host in that property Very strange operation
