Beware of this company also trading as Electric Radiator Shop
Please note as a disclaimer this review is a matter of personal opinion and should not be taken as factual This is simply my account of the situation and how I felt In my opinion you should be aware of this company they also trade as Electrorad I was wrong not to listen to my instincts when I noticed they have zero reviews for the Electric Radiator Shop trading name but was distracted by their good looking website and their false promises of a hassle free shopping experience I went ahead and ordered three radiators totalling over 1115 they call them A1 Grade and pretend they re robust and manufactured in Germany Someone called me the day after to ask if I was aware they all come with the same display for which I had no issue At no time was I warned of the real problem with these radiators that is that they are extremely heavy They also omitted to point out that their so called delivery was just one driver who ll drop the radiators on a pallet and leave them on the kerb for you to sort out I literally broke my back lifting these radiators up the stairs to my first floor flat with one other person I strained so much that I was in pain and left tearful I called them as soon as the driver had left to ask why I wasn t told these radiators were so heavy and the guy on the phone kept repeating that they were suitable for my tiny little flat with plasterboard walls These radiators would literally rip the wall off and cause expensive damage in my opinion they might be suitable for industrial use or for a large loft apartment with solid walls but they are certainly not fit for a small one bed flat with plasterboard walls however they would not admit to it I was then advised after much arguing from Ian that if I were to send them back I would have to take them down the stairs again and leave them on the original Pallet for their driver to collect in addition there would be a charge for this I explained that I had just injured my back lifting them and that I was happy to pay more if they could just sort out the pick up His answer was Sorry but that s the service we offer you can get your own courier I had no choice but to pay for a van and two men to carry these monster radiators and take them back to Leeds I was highly distressed and in pain and my weekend was ruined I then called them on Monday and they passed me on again to Ian He advised that the radiators had to be checked and that he ll call me back in a couple of hours I explained that I was happy for him to send me alternative radiators that were much lighter and suitable for my plasterboard walls and that I had already booked an electrician to come fit them so I was in an urgent need for a replacement Needless to say he never called back At this stage I decided to send an email threatening to take my complain to the small claims court and only then did I receive an email explaining that he refused to exchange the radiators and that he ll refund the cost of the radiators but not the courier I am now left with an injured back a bill of over 260 for the courier and had to purchase new radiators in a rush from another company This was truly an upsetting experience and a service that fell way below anything I have ever experienced I would not recommend the radiators this company sells or their extremely inconvenient one man kerbside delivery service God forbid if you need to return anything to them you might have to pay a hefty price and maybe left with a broken back

Radiator OKish App terrible Customer service appalling
A radiator we were piloting with has been heating constantly for hours and wouldn t stop despite the heating icon being off on the LCD panel Electrorad have kindly called and asked for another diagnosis test which didn t reproduce the problem neither it disproved it in my opinion essentially turning on for 30 mins and off for another 30 mins They refused to perform further investigations The mobile app also has serious problems check App Store reviews for AeroFlow which they disregarded as we use it every day and it works fine But they have admitted that it s being developed by Germany which is obvious once you read the poor copy translation in the app and that no one on that side ever looked the App Store reviews until now I find that unacceptable especially if it s true Much like HeaterShop where I bought the radiator from it takes some work to get them to email as they prefer hours on the phone which makes it hard to get records of what they do and say to hold them accountable I personally believe that s deliberate but we ll never know

Should never have purchased this item I wish I could return it not at all happy
The heat output of the radiator eventually is ok and that s the end of the good news The controls are pathetic truly pathetic as are the instructions And I did complain to the supplier who told me of numerous similar complaints he she then sent me a revised but equally poor set of instructions from which I failed to set-up the timer successfully So I ended up controlling the radiator with a mechanical time clock yes it is that bad and I m an engineer used to writing technical operating instructions Would I recommend this item No Would I purchase this item again No Would I be happy to return the item for partial refund Oh yes please Will I be using it again this coming winter Doubt it I really do doubt it You did ask

Do not buy Vanguard radiators
Do not buy Vanguard radiators If the electronic panel on the radiators stops working the radiator is useless as there is no replacement for that panel Three out of six radiators we bought four years ago are now not working and have to be replaced completely Electrorad are not interested and told us we needed to buy new radiators We certainly won t be buying anything from them again Very poor product and customer service

I notice electrorad had two stars on
I notice electrorad had two stars on Trust Pilot They also say their customer service dept together with their technical dept will help customers On the coldest day of the year I contacted them to help me programme my digiline radiator As a pensioner I found it difficult to understand There answer was go to the video despite my constant need of help Not the service offered by this company I had to employ an electrician I felt badly let down after buying their radiators something I will never do again

Electrorad Vanguard radiators
We bought 6 Vanguard radiators in Sep 2018 The LCD controller on one of them started to flicker about 2 months ago and we were no longer ble to control the temperature It stopped working completely about a month ago Aparently its a sealed unit and if it breaks after the 2 year guarantee there is nothing that can be done other than to replace Not sure why anyone would purchase such a radiator

Don t buy these radiators
Great radiators - in principle Heat effectively look attractive easy to use And then - one by one - the electornics fail necessitating a 100 replacement unit you can t just replace the electronic unit you replace the whole end panel We ve replaced three - at our own cost because the warranty only lasts two years and we ve had them three And now it seems we need to replace two more Terrible terrible product Don t buy these And I d question the 5 reviews here - some people leaving glowing reviews for the first time Hmmm

First delivery was wrong item
First delivery was wrong item Very difficult to return but that was maybe dpd issue they didn t pick up 3 times Then despite the error being totally electrorad could not get a refund So stupidity agreed to by a HHR one correct one arrived but can t get it to work I will report back and no it s still not working as of feb 2023 item scrapped oct 24oct a complete waste of money

Poor post sales customer service and support
I purchased an Electrorad Vanguard VA1500 Electric Radiator from a third-party supplier To start the instructions did not match the actual operation of the heater I called Electrodrad as they were the primary supplier to major U K electrical wholesale companies and to the third-party company I bought the radiator from I was able to get help from them to programme the heater drawing on the technical expertise from Electrorad It would appear the instructions needed updating due to slight changes in the operation of the heater I was grateful for the help to programme the heater The real issues started when I tried to hang the heater on the wall The plastic bracket snapped when I tried to attached the heater to the wall and when I tried to take the heater of the wall plugs came out I had used hollow wall metal anchors for plasterboard The brackets designed for the heater to hang on the wall are not fit for purpose and snapped The design of the brackets is not ideal for plasterboard I contacted Electrorad and what started off as good help turned sour when they replied They had suggested I had not used the correct wall plugs for plater board and that they had sold a large number of heaters and never had an issue with the brackets I explained before I even hung the heater on the wall of my concerns Regardless of how many heaters they sold previously without issue as they claim This was not the case for me I did have problems I found Electrorad from their reply to my email to be disrespectful and lacked the professionalism to provide post sales help I expected Rather they just wanted to justify their products based on past sales It goes without saying I am not happy and expect more than this when I purchase a product such as a radiatior There was no need for them to be so defensive and rude I praised the heater itself but I am highly critical of the wall brackets This negative review is a fair reflection of my experience with Electrorad Your email reply to me was unwarranted and this review now shares this with a wider audience and not just on Feefo as Electrorad like to advertise which is biased towards Electroad and does not present the whole story Reply to ElectroradThe brackets are not fit for purpose Stop trying to justify this by referencing your Feefo reviews Your Feefo reviews are meaningless to me This is my experience of this heater and the brackets Yes I asked Electrorad or help and I watched the video I also questioned if the brackets would work as they did not appear to want to clip the heater on I was right and one of them snapped Whilst I appreciate the help given to me at the time The arrogance of Electrorad after from your emails to me and now from your reply here really shows you up for what you are You clearly lack professionalism to keep trying to say I am wrong rather than stopping and listening to these issues I have faced My review is about my experience from the help Electrorad provided Which is accurate and a fair reflection of events
