I bought stuff I needed for my business

I bought stuff I needed for my business from this business It turned up on time and wasn t damaged A pretty basic fundamental transaction that shouldn t require the need for a review No one assisted me with my purchase I didn t need any help I had simply typed into a search engine what I required and these guys popped up The price was about right and they had the items in stock Just to be clear there was zero interaction which I liked The whole process took about half the time of this review Congratulations for being distinctly competent and fulfilling the most the basic of requirements I hope other people who require stuff manage to find the stuff they require and it continues to turn up on time There was no fiction despite the stars The service was fine

OPTICON OPH3001 SCANNER

The scanner is a very neat looking piece of kit and the development work completed by ERS appears to be just what is required I have some reservations about the Quick Start Guide It would be useful for it to be pointed out that the battery needs to be charged upon receipt and before it can be switched on On the Key Layout all the functions are described but there is no indication as to which is the POWER button I spent some time until I decided to plug it in to the PC an d then found the Power button - the Alt key It has the standard on off symbol but this should be explained clearly It is only these 2 points that have reduced my score from 5 stars to 3 stars I am now struggling with the Opticon Syncing software

Issue with product description

I have bought a cash drawer Purchase and delivery were good But the product description is not accurate Small drawer allows to have 4 sections of Euro notes but only 3 sections of GBP notes as they are wider

Unfortunate card denied

I placed an order over the phone and received 2 emails straight away regarding a password and an order confirmation I could not fault the sales person who seemed well informed and polite I was told my order would be with me the following day 5 days later I cased up the order and was informed my card had been declined and I was sent an email Unfortunately the email had found its was to my junk mail box and the card details needed to be retaken It s a shame that we had this hiccup as otherwise would have given a 5star

Zebra Printer that broke down

Good service in general -but bought a Zebra label printer a couple of years ago which lost its software and stopped working even though it was pretty expensive and nearly new though technically out of warranty They wanted me to send it back but the charge just to look before even restoring the software or fixing it was not worth it so had to buy another one -only model in the market in that price range that did heat transfer permanent labels They could have done it at a decent price to make up for the last one failing but were not interested

Less than satisfactory Invoice error and No UK plug

Ordered a power supply which turned up late and did not even include a UK plug luckily there was a spare adapter We also specified a company name but the invoice was made to the wrong company name when we contacted them to get this changed they refused and were not at all helpful about it The unit seems to work now we have gone out and bought the correct lead Dissapointing considering the item was not cheap I would only recommend using this company if you cannot find any other online retailer with it in stock

Next Day Delivery

I paid extra for next day delivery on Monday however I didn t receive the product until Thursday Happy to get the fully functioning product but the near 10 next day delivery charge more than the product cost itself was a waste of money Would have gone somewhere else who actually provides next day delivery

Next Day Delivery maybe

I ordered something for next day delivery It did not turn up so I enquired as to why not - apparently it was meant to ship from their European warehouse but they hadn t received the order To be fair to ERS they responded promptly and the next day shipping charge was refunded The order was then scheduled again for next day delivery - and again failed to turn up So we re now onto our third attempt - let s see what happens

Shipping to EU was not easy

Ordering from outside EU to EU was made difficult by the delivery company We have to pay the customs fee using an online credit card payment to release the products which is not something a company should have to do The delivery was also made to look as if we were a private consumer and not a business Ers was fast to reply and ship the items though No complaints there

They were nice and easy to deal with

They were nice to deal with Only down side is they ship from 3 different warehouses and because of that 3 different couriers and not all the curriers let you know when your going to get your delivery 3 items 3 different deliveries is a bit of a joke I am a pretty standard small business operating pretty standard business hours and one of the chosen curriers operates in our area out of these hours Biggest issue was could I contacted them to re-arrange delivery well that was a big fat no Contacted ERS and they were great and friendly but not much they could do The most disappointing thing was the main item I needed was the item that came from the currier that delivered late This meant me waiting for the package until 18 30 when they decided to deliver it I wasn t even told they were going to redeliver it again I had to contact ERS A simple order that turn into a little nightmare and took almost a week
