Refuse to book indigo in the future

Refuse to book indigo in the future We had a semi pleasant first flight with Qatar and Indigo but they refused to allow a fellow family member on the return flight The rules are different between the two airlines Thee check in was through Qatar for our first flight but for the return flights it was with Indigo Qatar had so issues with our paper work but indigo made an issue and would refuse him on the flight Qatar is also at fault in this as they should have made a better agreement with Indigo Furthermore they lied saying there were no more flights going into Doha that evening when we tried to get another ticket But online there was another 2 flights to Doha after ours They offered absolutely no help in rectifying the situation I have heard many stories where they refuse many people on flights and like another review I saw it seems its just a money making scheme

Safety needs to be improved

I took a couple of Indigo flights last week HYD-TIR It really felt un-safe to me The flight was about to take off and several passengers were on phone and flight attendants really were unable to control the situation We pre-ordered food and they tried to charge without seeing the list While this maybe deemed small safety issues are not

Rude airline staff

One of the worst airlines who have very rude ground staff Customers are treated with no respect Making them wait for no reason Questioning them more than immigration department Treating the customers like they are flying on the mercy of indigo If we raise an issue they respond like please choose another airlines Pathetic Hope some better budget airlines came up India

Announcements in local language missing

Took a flight from Bengaluru to Hubballi earlier this month Whereas the flight itself was pleasant the announcements some pre recorded some on the spot were in Hindi and English whereas most of the passengers as you would expect were kannadigas Most kannadigas speak or at least understand Hindi and English but at least some announcement in kannada would ve helped those that can t To top it off the hosts twice announced that they can speak English Hindi and guess what Bengali what are the odds there is a Bengali on board in a south Indian state who doesn t understand English or Hindi I can understand you can t always plan for staff who speak the local language but atleast the pre-recorded announcements should be in Kannada Show some respect for the language please especially when you are flying intra-state I wonder what the announcements look like when you fly in Tamil nadu

Bad experienced I had ever in my life through indigo journey on 08 09 22 from chennai to agartala All my luggage got wet Air hostess gave value to their rich passengers I have traveled across the county more than 20 times But hope not to single time more

Service overall pretty good

Service overall pretty good staff very helpful and friendly The planes are clean but the seats are terrible like sitting on a wooden bench ok for a 40 min flight but I was on a 3 and 1 2 hour flight almost unbearably uncomfortable

Quick Review

Flew from Goa to Chennai with IndiGo and then Chennai to New Delhi about a week later Really do not rate this company at all Staff were nice on the plane and their chocolate chip cookies were amazing That in itself is 1 whole star in this review The problems were that as a UK citizen we had booked flights and one passenger couldn t make the trip and was under his card Therefore you have to show the original card in order to get your boarding pass which we obviously couldn t do So had to get a picture sent but at both check-ins the staff we had didn t have a clue about this process and had to get their superior to help them Honestly this is a broken process not to mention the fact the app and website were both broken on every check in prcoess also Would not use again

Not to fly with any Indian airline

Just never fly with any Indian airline and especially with Indigo And never make a connection in India They for sure will find a way how to screw up your flight - like it happened to me They didn t update me that PCR test is required for flights to India And once I received my test result and it s not trivial in Bangkok airport their plane left without me They suggested to buy a new ticket with discount - 200 usd instead of 300 usd And a fast PCR test costed me 100 usd Also I had an unforgottable experince of the connection in Mumbai - it just was a circus show And the final thing which drives me crazy - on arrival in Mumbai nobody asked to see the test result Nobody in India really cares that you made PCR test
