Arma 2 DayZ all in one

Hello I ve had a Arma 2 Dayz server with GTX Gaming for just under a year But no more and never ever again Get a server with them and memorize the sentence Hello Sir Please reinstall your server via action tab That seems to be a autoreply from them and if you contest that reply you get pushed around by the same person just with a new signature I have seem more names and managertitles than the company would seem to occupy Popular add ons like P4L Plotmanagement and Groupmanagement are impossible to install and they offer NO support on add ons Their one click system is LONG abandoned There have been so many issues with server and support from the beginning GTX Gaming is a true case of you get what you pay for But what finally drove me to abandon them was an incident over this weekend Last week i was notified that they needed to move my server to another machine due to critital hardware failure one should think my server would suffer but was running just fine This move would be done with no loss of data to me The move took place and guess what Nor me or players could connect to the server I promptly opened a support ticket took them a few hours to respond and reply was that server was running just fine No i told them and then discovered that server had gotten a new ip adress Somewhat annoyed that they didnt inform me of that but hey now we re rolling again Guess what no we werent upon connecting via new ip i learned that server couldnt read database New support ticket was sent and 4 hours later i was informed that they had moved me to a server with no game files Displeased and annoyed though i was i politely told them to please get that fixed While this took place i discovered that my server had been moved from London to a Paris center having purchased a London server thats what i want So asked support why my server was moved to Paris without them notifying me Replay was that London was out of stock London was NOT out of stock and it then took some hours debating them moving me back which finally happened A few hours later i was told server was up and running again on yet another ip When server finally showed up in DayzLauncher i discovered that it was a totally fresh reinstall all player data and bases were gone I then had to submit another ticket reminding them that they had stated no loss of data So they had to dig up the newest backup they had and install that When done they again informed me that server was running and attached a screenshot from ingame Okay i thought 2 days and finally its working I then went to bed and looked forward to joining server when returning from work the next day While at work i logged into their tcadmin control panel and saw to my suprise that no add ons were installed only thing running was infistar I then looked at files on server and noticed that my custom folder where i kept all things added by me was missing both in missionfolder and in serverfiles Besides that my database was missing key tables like player banking and such So no loss of data really didnt apply after all I submitted a final ticket listing that despite their claim to have restored my server no such thing had been done as i was missing both files database tables and no add ons was installed Support then again claimed server being restored to state prior to first move mind you this is 4 servers later support claimed that there were no indications of my server being reinstalled and persisted in claiming that it had been restored I then cancelled my subscription instantly since they showed no interest in investigating or fixing the issue They even implied that i myself might have reinstalled it remember they just claimed server showed no sign of reinstall Their support is usually quick but it leaves the impression of them not really reading tickets and they tend to push you around to diffent people and very often if you stand your ground try to pull a i ll call a manager trick on you General impression is a company which cares more about your money than you as a customer

Fast reply - bad service

Well I rarely make reviews and my initial though of GTX was that they seemed nice based on some reviews but seems those reviews are payed reviews submitted by themselves I first like to point out that I have had no good testing of how many players their servers take with stable response simply because I m still stuck in getting my server I ordered The story I order a server located in Stockholm Sweden There is nothing that indicates this does not exist The order goes through and the game is set up I myself notice that the IP provided goes to France so I run a tracerout to see if they use some sort of proxies but no the server is in fact in France I email them and ask why for sure they answer fast not with sorry our fault but simply we ran out of stock and should have new space at our provider in 3-5 days Since it s in my interest to have the server in Sweden I email them again after 3 days to check on it They do not bother to read our previous conversation so the first 3 mails between us which they indeed answer quite fast makes me have to explain again the issue and why I need the servers in Sweden When that was explained I still did not get an answer on the ETA of Stockholm servers but simply reach back to us in X days and we sure have plenty of space for you I did as instructed and now got the answer Unfortunately no sir You do not need to keep submitting tickets about this Actual quote I then respectfully and in a friendly tone explain to them that is not an satisfying answer I ordered a product which I have yet to receive I was promised a solution yet to be delivered and now I shall just wait and see - without any real information If they could not give a better explanation I wished to end my contract and get a refund Another fast reply with no regard to the content of my previous answer I m sorry you don t like my reply but that is my reply You don t need to keep putting tickets in we will email you Say what costumer service hello Now I wrote a short email about terminating the contract and get a refund suddenly their manager in a company of 4 can not reply as fast Do not buy

Have fun spending money on these guys

I ve been running various gameservers for more than 10 years I have the skillset to setup MySQL servers running FIVEM and Arma servers both dedicated hosted and locally including setting up MySQL servers offsite and locally I know how most of this stuff works and don t work Despite that it is always your fault when you write the customer support They wont bother to check any logs when you write a ticket before they just tell you that can t happen or did you this and that Prepare yourself for a pingpong session of uselessness and ok i will reinstall everything for you if you are lucky My latest experience I was away for the weekend Checking back the phpmyadmin and mysql from their controlpanel was all of a sudden gone but the database still existed in their system I am the only one with access The only response I got was that it was impossible So I somehow over the weekend when I wasnt online removed mySQL from my controlpanel only but not the database itself So This makes me furious because I have not clicked anything I should nt while I have been offline lol Waste of everyone s time They also installed my service on a wrong Maria server when I first payed them for the service so they had to semi-redo everything from scratch which I think has led to many problems on my end You will receive very little information from them when something on their end goes wrong When it does they are for sure not happy to admit it or tell you what or how that happened I have given them 2 starts one for actually responding fairly fast and one for their service actually running fine when if you get it going Have fun spending money on these guys Should have learned from when I was running Arma through them guess thats on me

GTX Gaming is a fantastic choice when it comes to server hosting whether that be game server hosting or web hosting They do it all And at a great price As well as all their great features there support is phenomenal I would recommend GTX Gaming EDIT Now this review was posted on 20 Nov 2018 so the following update should be truly helpful as I ve been a customer for a long time I have moved away from GTXGaming because of their fairly consistent downtimes Although some of these events have not affected my server s it is not reassuring to be told that other services are down During the last few months my server FPS was never stable and required restarting every few hours The control panel is slow but I do like the theme But speed and reliability is more important The only thing I will miss is the fast responses to support tickets however I dont need to submit any with my new host because fingers crossed I ve not had any issues I was disappointed that when I submitted a cancellation request I received an instant pre-wrote message And then heard nothing else

While the 24 7 customer response time

While the 24 7 customer response time is SUPBERB my friend and I just got a refund back from our server because the customer service folks decided to call us liars RUI PEDRO was the name of the technician who we had to argue with when we provided proof that they were not handling our technical problems very well We attempted to get a game onto LEGACY MODE and they kept saying we needed a code to which we stated it was a public branch After them arguing with us for a few messages they finally did what they should ve yesterday and found what information we really did need They could have just done this from the start instead of saying We re not sure what you re talking about we need a code Very unprofessional and they get a little snarky in replies back if a customer decides to try to fight their position and how they are not lying Absolutely will not return to these guys Edit As soon as I left this review they responded asking us not to leave it Be careful if you do become invested in their servers and try to leave a bad review

Ive got an almost decent service they try and talk a good game generally but they tend 2 dumb you down a bit gonna stay till i find a better one

Very bad experience

I had several servers at GTX and it seems to me that they when critizied tend to attack their customers instead of listening to them I had an Arma2 dayZ server but I had to setup the whole thing myself because their One click addon system was so buggy and victim of messy scripting When they where confronted with these errors the message was try to reinstall D One other thing thats really a problem with GTX is their billing system I had so many problems with my PayPal subscribtion because GTX sends an overdue invoice and a server cancellation notification at the same day as the Paypal transfer is due This had happen serveral times

HUGE lag spikes

Main thing It works and we have a path of communication with the people at the server side But the Lag problem is really bad either system overloaded to handle weight there putting on there servers or something else Same map same mods can run with 15 players online from a friends house running server from his home no lag at all but as company can t do same mmmmm

Deleted server with no warning poor customer service skills

Customer server skills and attention to detail regarding dealing with clients is severely lacking Last year a group of us decided to pool some money together to pay for a Space Engineers server by GTXGaming ended up costing quite a bit as we were more than happy to fully spec things out as we were using heavy mods we are all mature adults with professional career s families and time heavy commitments so this would have given us an outlet to finally be able to play together socially whenever we can get a spare minute Server ran with no issues for about 3 5 weeks the entire time I was upping the specs and paying more to have them integrated with the monthly bill we had put in a collective of over 700 hours of gameplay by this point lots of content lots of time spent perfecting the server to how we wanted it Then one day with NO warning no notification not even an email our server server account was deleted entirely by GTX staff due to the delay of a minuscule payment of something around 2 even though every other single payment went through successfully instantly for some reason this payment stuck on pending via paypal so gtx staff just fully binned everything over a 2 discrepancy which funnily enough went through the next day every other payment that went through was done using the same Paypal account I promptly contact GTX support regarding the mistake they made they were unapologetic tried to say it was my fault for using paypal even though every other payment went through instantly whenever we upped the server specs They did not even bother to help restore the server fully only partially as all the original config mods got deleted completely I had to do everything myself so I spent the next 2 days trying to rebuild everything back to how it was again all the fine tuning of the server config the mods and 3rd party integration services halfway though we ended up just cancelling and dropping GTX gaming completely and went with a competitor who know s if they decide to delete our account again with no warning never again I even emailed Matthew Griffin the CEO directly as he has a bit on his bio about emailing him if there s an issue got no response nothing As someone who works in the IT industry I can t fathom ever deleting a paying clients server without confirming contact had been made with the client you don t just delete whole production servers on a whim you confirm the customer is aware of the issue first before going ahead Did GTX gaming think I was planning to scam them out of a few dollars even after paying more than that amount prior if all my previous payments went through but one is stuck on pending did you think i called paypal at the time to tell them to cancel my 2 transaction to GTXGaming did you think this was some sophisticated scam to swindle a few dollars from hosting businesses All of this could have been avoided if only someone had actually reached out to me at the time with sorry mate we stuffed up how can we make this right Waste of time poor support and no accountability TICKET REF 356712NOTE this happened last year so some dates and figures are just a rough estimate or close to just what I could recall a year later
