We refurbished and extended our house three years ago and bought mostly Hudson Reed fittings based on what seemed like a fantastic guarantee for the bathrooms with the exception of a Grohe valve for our ensuite shower We have two wall mounted taps installed - one in downstairs toilet - the chrome has bubbled and corroded on this one The second wall mounted set in the family bath have become loose - which we managed to tighten up ourselves and then this suddenly started leaking - husband has had to fix this again today The tap levers have never sat square or symmetrical and in order to replace these taps we would have to remove a large section of painted bathroom panelling as the valve sits behind this We have deck mounted taps next to our basin in ensuite which we had to contact HR about just after installation - they sent a random part to be replaced in response - which we haven t bothered even attempting to fit as HR don t seem to supply very detailed installation instructions and we aren t willing to pay for a plumber The 20 year guarantee is a fraud These products don t stand the chance of lasting 20 years and submitting a claim is near impossible - and even then they won t replace like for like - just send random spares

Update for clarity It is not the plug to stop the water draining away It is the the plastic flexible waste under the sink that drains the water away that I am referring to as per the image on the installation guide Why not just put this in with the basin I bought a Grace Wall Hung basin This basin needs a very specific flexible waste This doesn t come with the sink Customer services guy didn t have a clue what I was talking about and I had to direct him to the image on their technical sheet The response was that they didn t do these and I would have to go to a plumbers merchant Thank goodness for Amazon as it seems to be the only place where it is stocked My plumber is now having to wait for this to arrive This sink is not a cheap and nasty product so why do HR not just put one of these in with the sink

My complaint is not with the eventual quality of the items I purchased but the condition they repeatedly arrived in after shipping Tall wall cabinet arrived with 2 broken joints where it had apparently been assembled poorly Also the internal finish of the back panel was heavily scratched obviously done pre-assembly Second cabinet arrived with minor corner damage which I reluctantly accepted Vanity unit arrived apparently undamaged but on installing it was apparent the drawer front was detached on one side Shipped a second cabinet which was thankfully fine Bath panel arrived extremely well packaged with no signs of outward damage but when unpacked it had several paint chips on one edge and centre of the main front panel Must have been packed like it Bought via City Plumbing who were very helpful but the whole experience was disappointing and protracted Decided to purchase my own matched touch-in paint to resolve the issues rather than continue to seek replacements Have never received so many damaged items in any previous instance from any other supplier

Bought a 330 Hudson Reed shower with 3-year warranty through We Love Bathrooms WLB on eBay 18 months later the thermostatic valve went out I contacted WLB about the warranty and they got back to me quickly saying they would contact Hudson Reed to see if the warranty included the valve But after that WLB never got back to me - in spite of multiple follow-up messages I contacted Hudson Reed directly and they said they might be able to help me out with the part if WLB would give the green light hence 2 stars instead of 1 Because WLB ignored my many follow-up messages I finally paid for the valve and labour myself I do think that WLB is the main problem here Still I find it shocking that a 330-shower can stop working after 18 months and the fault not be covered by the three-year warranty And I don t understand why Hudson Reed couldn t help with this even without WLB s green light

We bought a HR basin unit through Victoria Plumbing 1st one has a chunk off on the side another chunk off the bottom and two of the drawer supports had the screws coming out The replacement unit has two breaks on the bottom probably over tighten on assembly and one of the wall hook mechanisms has a bad adjustment screw it won t move We are waiting for the 3 replacement unit hopefully 3rd tome lucky Note the units and draws seem to be really good quality it s just the built quality is awful Ok the 3rd unit just arrived and guess what it s damaged at the bottom on two side they really need to look into who is putting these units together it seems like they are using a impact driver Why don t they check the unit before it leave if it s a replacement

Quality that won t last Purchased an Old London Toilet seat soft close mechanism has snapped looks like poor casting and lamination coming away Given the cost I would expect greater longevity UPDATE Thank you for your reply I will be in touch ASAP and shall update my Trustpilot review good or bad Update Tried to contact this company but to no avail Give up in the end

The WC unit was of only reasonable quality but the Basin Unit was unbelievably poor in a number of ways
