Why don t they scan the luggage

Iberia lost more than 20 peoples luggage on one flight amongst them one out of two pieces of luggage that my stepmom brought for Christmas Luggage has barcodes on it wouldn t it overall save them some image and money to scan the barcodes to be sure they have all the pieces they need on a flight I can t imagine the hassle of finding and distributing 20 passengers luggage compared to just a few seconds scan of each bag You disturbed 20 passengers Christmas please make some reforms

Terrible Lost Luggage Service - Reference number E20231129-43003123

I am referring to the Iberia service case E20231129-43003123The incident occurred November 30 on the flight from Tenerife to Geneva via Madrid Iberia lost my luggage on the way I was promised it would arrive the next day I managed to trace my luggage to Madrid via the Geneva customer service and handed over the information to Iberia immediately but Iberia insisted that the luggage was still in Geneva Iberia did not act on this information Even faked connection problems to end an otherwise friendly call It took one week of endless useless calls via their customer service and a personal intervention at the GVA airport until I finally got hold of my luggage Surprise surprise it was still in Madrid as I told them They had all the information at their disposal location of luggage detailed description of bag and content but didn t help to ease my situation despite the growing urgency What could have been a one-day mishap resulted in one week kafkaesk nightmare and a damage of 540CHF The loss of the luggage cost me considerable discomfort and expenses Customer service reassured me that expenses Hotel key service will be covered To this days Iberia refuses to cover my costs My experience with other airlines in similar situations like Swiss Lufthansa or Easyjet have been flawless in comparison Take note and treat your customers well IBERIA There is still time to make up for your mistakes E20231129-43003123 and improve your service Until then AVOID and check your options

Iberia s handling of Spain strike very unsatisfactory

I have booked ticket direct from Iberia from Porto to Copenhagen at Friday January 5th 2024 Today 29th December 2023 I received information from Iberia that they have cancelled my plane due to strike in Spain 5 -8th January 2024 They will only compensate me with a voucher - or a new ticket after the strike But I have to go home to Denmark before 9th and have to buy ticket at another airline company and pay by myself - end the get a voucher to Iberia only Very unsatisfactory

Flight cancelled due to an airport strike on 6 January admittedly not Iberia s fault - Our flight out leaves tomorrow and need to decide whether to leave for Spain Have tried to contact customer services on several occasions no response tried to call them and just repeatedly get cut off Still left in limbo Shocking
