Awful staff customer service

From UK - Be careful of the check-in staff - they have no clue what they are doing and when making a mistake lie to your face The lie we were fed left 2 suitcases not reaching our location The call centre fed inconsistent information upon inconsistent information Still waiting on the bags Fed up and would never advise anyone to book with Iberia Airlines or via

Still waiting for a claim payout 18 months date in question is 15 may 2022 later spent over 600 new case medical treatment onward travel no clothes medication toiletries for 6 days now they don t want to pay they offer not even the cost of the money Spain are rude they should at you and put the phone down Refusing a uk based address to take them to small claims court this is disgusting Said I would never book again Went to married this year booked woth BA surprise surprised Iberia check in and carried flight I had a wet seat they lost our luggage again very rude this time thank god for AirTags after saying I had no luggage they traced it to different terminal 2 hours later Disgusting

Illegal business - not providing invoices to customers

The business doesn t allow to request invoices receipts for purchases after your flight Tried every channel possible - helpline different departments and different phone numbers Whatsapp email website - nothing Nothing works In theory they give you option to request the invoice but then nothing happens How this company is still not shut down by the regulators or government tax agency is beyond my comprehension Especially that providing a receipt on customer s request is a legal requirement

Just dont fly with Iberia Ever

Paid extra for XL seat which was just as crammed as all the other seats In-flight beverages are not included despite the premium ticket prices They also made me pay extra for my luggage on my return flight 45 euros instead of 23 if you pay in advance even though there was no indication on the website that I did not already pay for this during the booking Self check-in machines at Madrid airport are in deplorable state and do not work Filing a complaint on their website does not work either they conveniently can t find my data Worst airline ever Even Ryanair has better service than this backwards excuse for an airline

Absolute garbage airline

Absolute garbage airline horrible customer service Denied airport at the gate due to an error in their system The name on our ticket as booked was correct they had a different name in their system which they acknowledged was odd and likely to be their error whilst at the airport Denied boarding despite our planning costs incorrect etc To add insult to injury months later the refund request was denied Dont be lured by the budget cost - use somebody else catch a train or walk

Lost Luggage story

So I lost my luggage during an interconnecting flight from Mykonos Madrid Munich Arrived in Munich only to see hundreds of lost bags in one of the gates thinking damn someone here can t do their job properly Only to find out after waiting at the baggage belt for 45 minutes that my own luggage is also nowhere to be found Iberia customer service desk had about 40 people waiting all with the same issue Mind you I m traveling Europe alone from Australia to see some friends with baby presents and birthday gifts etc that are all now missing Iberia informed the bag was found after 48 hours and will be delivered to my hotel in the next 3 days Only to have a case closed without it actually being sent Now the bag is ACTUALLY missing as no one can track it anymore Spent the remainder of my 18 day trip with no luggage and wearing basically the same clothes lucky for end of summer Europe weather I ended up calling the Iberia office every day for 18 days until my flight back and not a single person could tell me where that bag is or its last confirmed location By the time I got back home to Melbourne and settled back in it had been 24 days since it first went missing Iberia agreed to pay a standard 1600USD for the lost luggage Since the initial incident on September 5th till now December 12th Iberia has given me every excuse from miscommunication between departments to banking and admin errors I have yet to see a single cent 14 weeks later Never Fly With Iberia Solo traveler from Melbourne

I travelled from Copenhagen via Madrid

I travelled from Copenhagen via Madrid to Mexico city Firstly the luggage was late It arrived the following day Secondly the suitcase was damaged It lost a wheel and had a dent I had a label saying acceptado deteriodado However when I complained about the damaged suitcase Iberia first gave me a reference number and said I would be contacted That never happene When I called back and stated the reference number the office worker had problems locating the file and at the end he refused to compensate me for my loss and even hung up on me when I complained My suitcase was damaged in transit I was never compesated and had a terrible experience with the person That happened on 28 november 2023 at approx 14 45 Danish local time
