I signed up for iTeach scrounged up what little I could to pay for it and did all of the course work Right when I was expected to start my field experience they flipped it on me that they were not approved to give certifications in my subject area Right then and there all of the time I spent on iTeach was wasted I will get no teaching license and all of this course work was for nothing It isn t the school s fault it certainly isn t my fault I was unemployed and needed a job should I have asked them which job to accept It s iteach s fault I technically am not paid up and will certainly not be giving them a dime more as they seem hesitant to help me sort this out I have to start over from scratch with a more expensive program because of them Update Having corresponded with the staff of iteach I realize that I was a bit hasty in this review however I still feel like my course work was thrown away due to my acceptance of my current position I even went as far as saying that I was willing to complete the coursework I still am by the way after accepting another line and was met with more poor communication and red tape

I feel like i was robbed of over 5000 I went through the program Which is a joke does not prepare you in any way shape or form for real world teaching The 240 tutoring that you are forced to do is a joke it did not help for test taking at all Haven t gotten certified yet but teaching at a charter school no thanks to iteach Would not recommend

I teach was fine at first Once covid happened its like they never returned back to work They have hours to call but you cant get in touch with anyone unless you send an email I will say you get a response between 24-48 hours Just nice to be able to call and get a quick questions answered

Honestly the process to become a teacher has been fraught with annoyance and frustration None of the organizations communicate well together iTeach TEA ISDs etc There isn t much in the way of communicated expectations or even a advised timeline so I had to feel my way along in the dark it seemed I understand that it is a self-paced program but a little help along the way would be immensely useful Maybe a pacing calendar or recommendations on due dates Also the so-call course instructors acted much like my college professors back in the day that only wanted a paycheck or to get out of the classroom as quickly as possible Very little warm or desire to help Additionally the wording of the discount wasn t clear so I lost out on 500 due to not having certain classes completed on time I wouldn t recommend this certification program to anyone due to my experience

I have NEVER been satisfied with iTeachTX The sparse phone contact hours are ridiculous the lesson plans are MUCH too difficult and some of your employees are NOT very nice And that is just for starters

Scammy after getting the jobIf you want a helpful program it s not for you Read the contract very carefully Only enroll if you re 101 sure you want to be a teacher for years And if you want to be a teacher for years this will not help you become a good teacher So no reason to enroll

I AM NOT HAPPY WITH iteachTexas AT ALL Since the start I have encountered several unnecessary challenges with working with iteachTexas The last straw was when my employer and I received an offensive email from Kay Clark Director of Field Experience which was directed at me and intended to make me look bad in front of my new employer After that - I am dedicated to being a walking-talking brochure for iteachTexas - and NOT in a good way That is my honest feedback

Way too much course work I don t know why you guys require essays instead of just quizzes People need a life outside of work and to place these essays on them is too much When will they ever get time to spend with their family I thought it was a self paced course but they placed a deadline on my coursework 3 months before 4 different courses are due Wish i would have know about it sooner

Worst educational experience I have ever had I have three degrees and this program did very little to prepare me for the classroom and good luck speaking to anyone It has been a complete waste of time and money

I wasted a year of my life and thousands of dollars for the opinion of one person to tank the whole thing I paid another 500 to seek a second field experience and have since had zero support in securing said field experience The whole experience has generally soured me on organized education in general sadly
