Would NOT Recommend

I enrolled into iTeach with the intentions to teach grades EC-6 and was also offered a position in that grade band However upon approval iTeach CHANGED withOUT asking or confirming with me my content area to 7-12 Science I have NO want to teach those grades and will probably never use the certificate I had to jump through hoops for 8 months to get all the certifications for the postion I was offered before I could be hired If you know what you want to teach and have a specific job in mind I would Not recommend iTeach I should have listened to other reviews

Don t do it

I finished all of my coursework and paid for the whole course in full and then they said I couldn t be certified because I took too long to complete it So I m out 5 grand and have no certification I quit teaching and I m never going back

Unprofessional administrators

Unprofessional administrators When iTeach is in the wrong they intentionally misrepresent the facts to make the customer student look bad Texas state law requires that ELA teachers are also certified in ESL ITeach would not allow teachers to get this certification along with the ELA Instead the ESL certification test would only be approved after all of the program was completed This action hindered getting a contract for the following school year Since iTeach Texas is selling a program in Texas it only makes sense that they know the laws

Course work did not prepare me for real

Course work did not prepare me for real teaching and much is not needed for upper level educators When I applied they said I was only certified to teach elementary despite advanced degree and 20 years experience in both social life sciences I had to BEG to be able to test in another content area since I do NOT want to teach elementary school They only allow one alternative subject outside what you re approved for so choose wisely Was originally told I was able to student teach when I completed the required steps This is NOT the case Student teaching is only open during spring semester So if you finish well ahead of time like I did you have to wait until JANUARY to start your student teaching

It s a Hard No

Effective and timely communication is non-existent Staff speaks condescendingly in phone conversations Program is unorganized and reminds me of an orientation one might go undergo during the hiring process at a high school job like Burger King Do better This program is definitely not worth 5 000 It might be worth 100 for filing fees

BIGGEST WASTE OF MONEY THAT I CAN REMEMBER THEY DON T CARE ABOUT PEOPLE ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MAKING SURE THEIR LICENSE IS RENEWED BY THE TEA AND CONTINUE MAKING MONEY

Paid course no access no help then rude replies

I paid to complete 1 course in order to transfer my license to another state However I was never sent a link to access the course When I inquired they did not respond After me calling relentlessly they replied that the link was sent No link then Jennifer Hees told me that my tone was disrespectful and still did not grant me access to the nearly 500 course I purchased Now 5 days into still not receiving the product that I bought I was told that it is Friday afternoon so no help will be given

Stay away

I would never recommend this company for any reason at all Everything has been a nightmare The content hasn t updated in 10 years and you can get the same certificate in weeks compared to months with another company They only care about money STAY AWAY
