"Calendar problems"
Revision of yesterday s review I tried for 6 days to download calendar always got password unacceptable Yesterday I worked on other things on the computer and suddenly after an hour I got a screen saying I could download the calendar The original screen still said password unacceptable Go figure No reply to my email describing the problem I like the calendar but do not think I want the hassle again JL really need to solve the problems with their calendar Last year a friend to whom I had given the calendar said that her IT consultant husband and her two computer-literate daughters spent a whole afternoon getting the calendar onto her tablet and said though it was lovely she did not want the next one it was too much trouble The cards are lovely I think I will stick with them

"Update to my previous revious review"
With reference to my previous review of this site I feel obliged to add that today I have spent a lot of time trying to sort out my issues with it and am pleased to say that I am now able to follow the instructions and have successfully ordered a number of cards to be sent in the next few weeks This has been successful so I am now a bit happier with this company However I can understand the poor reviews and difficulty people are having It is certainly not as easy as the previous site and very time consuming

"Wonky Website but Nice Cards"
I concur with many other reviewers that Jacquie Lawson s prior website was more user-friendly Change is not always a good thing The running dog to fetch my card is extremely slow and annoying as heck I preferred the old UI and address book But I still like the cards themselves and find this to be a convenient and very affordable way to send greetings especially last minute Thus I give 3 stars placing more focus on the product quality not the usability of the website JL s cards are very artistic and elegant with many having classical background music I ve written to JL previously asking whether they could add more diverse cards to their offerings because my circle of friends family is very diverse I d like to see more contemporary cool hip cards that would appeal to younger people with appropriately contemporary background music That way I could use JL s platform to send cards to even more people

"Mixed "
On the plus side the cards are appealing and the Advent calendar in particular has many attractive features The address book in the website provides useful reminders about imminent birthdays They also have a wide range of cards that suit the tastes of many recipients On the minus side they sometimes send out cards and calendars with glitches in them and requests to their support staff are not replied to Their prices were increased by a large amount in the past year This year they also released a Kwanzaa greeting card and I feel that celebrating a festival created by an American political activist who was convicted and imprisoned for torturing women is not something the company should be involved in

"Country Cottage Games"
I love love love Jacquie Lawson cards and calendars I would give five stars to all that she produces but this review pertains to the Country Cottage I was excited to get into it but cannot access the games to proceed There is no link to take me there and no where to go to address or seek a solution to the issue Hence a disappointment

I love the cards and always buy the advent calendar However the Country Cottage is a disappointment so far I expected the same level of interaction and games as with the advent calendars and it is just not there Having completed the repairs which was OK changing bits and pieces for lots of points is not really attractive Shame

This is for the Country Cottage App In this day and age of digital gaming I appreciate a little slower pace however it takes a considerable amount of time to earn enough points to effect repairs in the game PLUS you can only earn 500 points a day to effect those repairs This allows only 1 repair a day Very disappointing in this respect

"Country Cottage a huge disappointment "
Love the cards and advent calendars Really liked the app for creating the garden I was thrilled to find the country cottage app until I tried to play it It takes forever to get enough points to continue with the game and the games you play to get points are boring Don t buy it until they address these issues Very disappointed

"Points earned are not enough for time spent"
I ve played for hours to repair the cottage I am retired so It s crazy how few points you get for each game I m not sure of their thinking here Anyway I did manage to repair the whole cottage - ok looks cute BUT when I earned some more points and thought I would change the lamps it took my points earned but where is the new lamp The help button is completely useless and I cannot find any instructions on how to get the lamp into the room I m done with it now - SO frustrating This could be SO good but sadly it needs seriously updating

I am a new member and am having a problem when I fill in one name to send a card the other 5 boxes fill in the same name automatically then the person I am sending the card to gets 5 or 6 cards When I try to delete the other 5 names it automatically deletes all of the names What am I doing wrong My family does not want to receive 5 or 6 of the same card on the same date
