"Membership price hiked"
Huge membership price hike Glad i noticed cancelled the auto renewal in time Had kept membership going for quite a few years as it had been a quite reasonable less expensive way of sending cards overseas Not sending so many now anyway increased membership fee just doesn t justify keeping it any longer

"Advent Calendar Issues"
I really resent the lack of support from this website They also seem to be very Apple biased they haven t even gotten round to releasing an android app for the advent calendar this year My mum buys me a Jacquie Lawson advent calendar every year Last years was okay pretty but slightly underwhelming This year unless an android app appears in the next week or so I ll be forced to view it in my laptop every day It might sound a minor complaint but if you re told you can access an app that isn t there it s extremely frustrating A contact us link would be helpful

"My past experience was good but the price is now too high"
My past experience was good although I was hoping the cards would eventually become a little less kitschy But when I saw what the price was now I decided it s too much money for an online card service I don t use that often Plus I read the reviews for customer service and figured I definitely should go elsewhere

"No comparison with the first I saw"
The first JL Advent ecalendar I had was the Devon fishing village - what a difference with this year I ll always remember the swimmer dashing out of the bathing hut to dash back to the hut after a cold dip Somebody went to a lot of trouble mapping out London but the differences each day are tiny - traffic skaters they haven t been daily at all The Christmas tree ornaments stopped appearing a fortnight in and the games in the sitting room are limited I hope someone ll sort it by next year

"the makers of the corona callender"
the makers of the advent callender are clearly infected with the corona virus everything radiates gloom and it is precisely the intention that you draw hope from it I see an empty Christmas market where stalls are locked themselves shame the build-up must be to December 25 more light and more people in the calendar to achieve the conviviality Buy the calendar again next year to see if my simple recommendations are included or else it s an exit for the makers

"problems with the London advent calendar on a Mac "
I m also having problems with the London advent calendar so far only day 5 will open I sent a request for help on the dec 3rd and am still waiting Last years Nordic calendar still fonctions I m using a MacBook Air Does anyone have any positive results from the JL helpline

"Changed for the worse"
I understand Jacquie Lawson has been taken over by an American company Maybe this explains the rapid rise in cost I also had friends who had trouble opening cards I shall not be renewing after many years of subscribing

"Disappointing "
I agree with many of the other comments here - whilst the cards are still OK the 2020 and 2021 Advent Calendars were definitely sub par with generic games and activities and not many of them No ornament smashing my favourite - replaced with boring Match 3 boards The 25 days of the 2021 calendar are all videos no activities shorter than usual and pretty boring and you don t even have to go looking for the particular day s ornament on the calendar the video just loads when you open the app Not much else going on Will think twice before purchasing for myself and friends next year

"Sadly gone right down the drain"
I have been a customer to J L cards from the beginning and have been a huge fan But of late the quality is poor reliability poor Emails for help go unanswered The 2021 Advent Calendar is dire The 2020 Nordic calendar refused to work and fair play they did give a refund Gets more expensive every year for worse quality Can anyone recommend a similar product

"A Disappointing Advent Calendar"
Like so many others I was very disappointed with the 2021 advent calendar It was essentially a tour of London with an animated card everyday And the card popped up I started closing it so I could hunt for the day I too miss activities being interspersed with the days I adored the downhill sledding that is now gone Last year was okay because we learned about Nordic traditions But a tour of London is a yawn I ve been gifting the advent calendar to friends for years Now I don t know if I ll continue
