"Day 14"

Day 14 problem solved and I can open the Advent Calendar I notice that messages from Help although sporadic have been unfailingly courteous I am very glad the problem is now solved I did not want to lose faith in a product that brings a little joy to myself and my grandchild in this sad world Thanks to all concerned Day 12 Still can t get in Have had two emails in that time One promised action not followed up

"Uploading this year s calendar Edwardian a right faff"

I have used Jacquie Lawson for years and generally have nothing but praise I was a bit taken aback at the cost of this year s advent calendar and found it really quite tricky to upload and I m not computer illiterate It was all quite a faff and then I couldn t turn off the music All resolved but a bit frustrating Living in Cornwall the Cornish harbour calendar was my fave of course and the Nordic one Some years are better than others - it s a matter of taste

"Jacquie Lawson e-card site too expensive"

I have been a loyal subscriber to Jacquie Lawson for about 20 years and the cards and advent calendar have only gotten better However the rapid and steep price hike for renewal means I ll have to quit the service It now costs triple what I once paid and the advent calendars are more expensive too I guess I had a good run but no more

"Website needs a little work"

I like the fact I can send ecards and I also have the advent calendar each year both are really good if a little older female-orientated but the website is incredibly difficult to navigate and this spoils it It feels like it is missing the personal touch so when you log in there should be page that immediately helps members to download the calendar for example to their computer There is a page with some instructions but you have to find it otherwise you are unsure if you should place the order in the gift basket and it just gets very confusing It needs to be made clearer My friend cannot download the calendar at all even though she has paid and customer service has not always been that helpful in the past very slow to answer etc Get these things right and we may be able to forgive the obvious hike in prices on this website

"Great cards but auto-renew is now a problem"

I ve used Jacquie Lawson cards for years I sent quite literally a hundred or more during Covid lockdown to keep people s spirits up The cards are beautiful and exceptional and often fun with games added My friends and family love them I ve bought the Advent Calendar for years as well and Christmas wouldn t be the same without it All that being said the recent price increase sort of floored me I know everything has gone up but Nevertheless I decided to renew my subscription for a year However when I did so using my credit card I found that I could not renew without putting my subscription into Automatic Renewal No problem I thought after payment is made I ll just go back into my profile and set it for non-auto renew Which I did Twice But when I clicked Save Changes it immediately defaulted again to Auto Renew The FAQs were no help so I was forced to contact Customer Service To their credit they did fix my account right away Nevertheless I feel that this is a bit unethical A subscription renewal should not automatically default to Auto Renew--or having done so should at least be easily corrected How many people like me on fixed incomes have to make annual decisions about whether or not to renew So this may be my last year with Jacquie Lawson cards lovely as they are

"A great site that grew hugely and now is too expensive"

I have been with this company since it began and sent many cards and introduced many people to it who have also joined My renewal has just come up with a huge increase and I m telling it goodbye What I think has happened is that the site has grown and grown and this costs a lot in salaries and probably is extremely expensive to maintain The site also sells items but the problem is that several people can send someone the same item A 40 Canadian renewal cost prices it out of my budget and honestly I do not need that vast choice which means I have to spend a lot of time looking for the right card I have had no problems with the new website although I was happy with the old one

"Overly expensive subscription-based pricing"

Have used them for quite a few years when they were good value but was rather shocked to see the price has rocketed to 24 this time so I have cancelled the auto renewal and will probably not bother again I don t use them enough to justify it They are missing a huge trick by only having a subscription model instead of a pay as you go They sold out and you will have to dig very deeply to find that they are now owned by American Greetings Corporation

DISMALWell one thing that isn t good Lawson doesn t answer problems Another thing I can download their 2023 calendar to my heart s desire but will it open NO Really disappointed in a firm that I and my family have had contact with for a serious number of years

"Price increase will not renew"

I have enjoyed being a subscriber to Jacquie Lawson cards for several years I was shocked at the price increase doubled this year 40 Cdn per year compared to 20 Cdn previous years so sadly I will not be renewing this year 40 is too much Have also had difficulty running the app on my laptop and have overlooked this in the past but now with the price increased it s another reason to cancel Too bad

"THEY VE PRICED THEMSELVES OUT MY MARKET "

What a disappointment to read the overwhelmingly bad reviews here But understandable I have been a subscriber for probably nearly 20-years and use the cards to back up those I send by snailmail NOT as a replacement I ve always paid for 2-years but have now just paid for one year because The ONE year subscription has cost me 24 Two years ago I paid 22 for TWO years I doubt I ll continue after this There s so many choices available now and I don t think I want to encourage such greed
