Slap-dash Kaiser care as usual

After a recent app t in lieu of the promised home rounding I m supposed to have I was examined by Dr Faulkner for various things Kaiser CO have neglected to offer care for Strangely even though I m more than 7 months overdue for a COVID booster and I m now told flu shots were readily available neither were given me at the time This review was solicited by Kaiser at writeareview-co although no direct Kaiser page exists under that URL

Kaiser member for more than 30 years

I have been a Kaiser member for more than 30 years in California and in The NW Region My general experience is very good but I have seen a decline in the service and commitment to the members As examples all local customer service has been centralized so that there is no one local to talk to you the Oregon Washington calls go to Colorado where there is no one who understands what is going on in Oregon and Washington Second the sleep therapy supplies have been outsourced to Apria Health which has terrible customer service and the supplies that are needed are frequently out of stock and much higher cost than when from KP Third Vision Essentials is an out sourced contractor has some decent optometrists if you search around but you have to work to find a good one They have a very bad optical department that is very expensive I had them make glasses that had to be redone Finally went to an outside company and got what I needed at about half the cost of Vision Essentials even with the Kaiser benefit This company was built on long term member services It is really loosing its grip on that commitment The pride themselves on a five star Medicare rating Don t know how they deserve that with the current service level

Their website has improved over the

Their website has improved over the years but definitely has room for improvement I was unable to find any available optemetry appointments at 5 separate Kaiser locations They need to allow us to book further out when this occurs Their member service department is usually unhelpful and seems to do as little as possible with substantial delays in responding to inquiries The doctors generally are very responsive however Quality of checking past records and visits needs to be streamlined and improved Same with pharmacy Too many steps and too time consuming

My family doctor asked me to do a

My family doctor asked me to do a colonoscopy test as soon as possible since they found blood in my stool test He said someone will call me to schedule an appointment but that has never happened After I called Kaiser to make that appointment I was told May June and July s appointments have been booked up I will have to wait until July to make an August s appointment My question is why do I have to wait until July to make the August s appointment Why can t you do it now If someone is in danger and need that kind of test I will have to follow your speed and your stupid way to do it It is ridiculous to even make an everyday appointment which also has to follow the same rule You need to change the way you run this business

Kaiser has been a god send

Kaiser has been a god send I was recently under Jai Medical and that was all around stressful I went to the E R around the end of October 2017 after a cyst rupture and while in bed recovering I switched to Kaiser and it s been nothing but uphill ever since My OBGYN Dr Tolani has not only been a kind and understanding doctor but she s given me the kind of care that I should have had at Jai At one point she even said to me Why didn t your previous doctor put you on birth control to help with the cysts She was dumbfounded that I didn t receive the proper care before My PCP was Dr Fox and I ve gushed about her so much to my mother that it broke my heart when Dr Fox chose to step down from her job Though I understood why she chose her child over her job I still miss her I had to undergo surgery to remove a fibroid that had grown since I was under Jai The surgery went smoothly the doctors and nurses at the hospital that I was treated at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center were the most nicest people I could have ever met Now I have Dr Sherry as my PCP and immediately she has stepped in to run the right tests uplift me as a human being and give me the resources I need to help with my anxiety and depression The only problem I really have with Kaiser is the medical form department It always takes 7-10 business days to have a form filled out and sent back to you and I m sure with the current pandemic it doesn t make that time frame any less probably more but when you re given a deadline to have a form filled out and you re pretty much just waiting with baited breath for the form it can be a little stressful Other than that I feel like I made the right decision picking this company

I begrudgingly joined Kaiser 2-3 years

I begrudgingly joined Kaiser 2-3 years ago I had a negative thought process about managed care and being told who my Dr s were I have been THRILLED with my Dr s - 100 happy The concept of getting things taken care of in one building works amazingly for the most part The specialties can be spread over miles so you may have to drive some distance to see your specialist And the medications and processes are not always the most modern and advanced I would love to take away 3 stars for that alone but the Dr s I have been treated by have been nothing short of GREAT Dr s So I only deducted 1 star for those two big disadvantaged

JOHN HYUNYOUNG KIM DDS

Today I saw JOHN HYUNYOUNG KIM DDS in regards to a procedure that I required My sleep apnea seem to get worse even though I always use my machine It turns out that my tongue would fall into my airway when I slept So instead of a machine an oral appliance was recommended This device holds your jaw forward thereby keeping the tongue out of the airway With his high degree of skill sets John fabricated a custom oral appliance for me My intent of this review is to thank John for his person and his professional abilities Also there may be others who are not getting what they hope to get from the machine and this oral appliance might be a bonafide alternative for you Thank you very much John and Kaiser too
